Next day, I arrived early at work, since I knew Jaeyun was the first. Even though the 3 lived together, Jaeyun was always the first.

I waited for some minutes scrolling on my phone, and suddenly I heard the door opened.

"oh you are early." He tells me with a tired smile, still rubbing his eyes.

"yeah." I chuckle.

"cute"

"I don't know how you manage to be here earlier, at morning shift. They are the worst." He whines.

"I like this job me." I tell him.

"Wait one week and we'll see."

I chuckle and right after, Jay came in.

"Omg why is he here? pfff He pisses me off I wanted more time with Jaeyun." I thought, glaring at him.

"Look who decided to leave Jungwon to finally come to work." Jaeyun rolled his eyes.

"Why do we have morning shifts?" he dramatically puts his head on the counter.

"cause you keep skipping your evening shift for Jungwon." Jaeyun says, and I chuckle.

"oh, you are the new?" Jay finally seems to notice me. "Heeseung, right?"

"oh yeah, I am." I say. "and you are the man who disappeared yesterday during work, right?"

"Oh I like you, already." Jay scoffs.

"OKAY, WE WILL START IN 10 MINUTES, everyone go to his task." Sunghoon appears, clapping his hands.

"Are you ready for another day?" Jaeyun asks me.

"Yeah." I smirk.

The morning rush started soon after, and I was doing better than yesterday. Jaeyun seemed to have notice it.

"you are pretty good at it" He tells me, with a smile.

"thank you." I smile. "I find it fun."

"you are weird." He jokes and goes back to his task.

The morning passed quickly, and now it was time to eat and take our break. I decided that it would be my chance to be alone with Jaeyun, and that my plan was starting.

"hey, can we eat on the rooftop?" I ask him.

"You already want to steal my place?" He chuckles.

"You said, I could."

"yeah, just kidding. Yeah we can, come." He drags me to the rooftop.

We were now in the rooftop, eating some food and watching the view.

"thats beautiful." I cut the silence between us.

"I told you." He tells me.

I turned to Jaeyun, watching as the wind slightly tousled his hair. He looked so at peace up here, and I could understand why he liked this spot so much.

"You really come here all the time?" I asked, taking a bite of my food.

"Yeah," he nodded, still gazing at the skyline. "It's my little escape."

I hummed in response, letting the comfortable silence settle between us. The atmosphere was calm, and for a moment, it felt like we were the only two people in the world.

"So, do you still find the job fun?" he suddenly asked, smirking as he turned to face me.

I chuckled. "Yeah, for now. But if Sunghoon keeps bossing me around, I might change my mind."

Jaeyun laughed. "You'll get used to it. He acts all serious, but honestly, he's just as lazy as Jay."

"Speaking of Jay, he really doesn't work much, huh?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

Jaeyun groaned. "Don't even get me started. If Jungwon shows up, he's gone. Every time. I swear Sunghoon just lets it slide because he thinks their relationship is 'cute.'"

I laughed, shaking my head. "Must be nice."

Jaeyun eyed me curiously. "What? You jealous or something?"

I shrugged. "Maybe. I wouldn't mind having someone to disappear with."

He scoffed playfully. "Good luck with that, we're all stuck working."

I smirked. "You're not wrong."

For a second, our eyes met, and I felt something shift in the air. It was subtle, but it was there. Before I could say anything, Jaeyun quickly looked away, clearing his throat.

"Anyway, we should probably head back before Sunghoon starts yelling," he said, standing up and stretching.

"Yeah, you're right," I agreed, but a part of me wished we could stay just a little longer.

As we walked back downstairs, I couldn't help but smile to myself.

My plan was working.
