JAERYEONG POV

We returned to our house.

"Home sweet home" I smiled

"We should go to sleep early. We have UNI tomorrow" Kihyun said

UNI....

My eyes widened.

"OH MY GOSH... UNI... I SKIPPED SO MANY DAYS OF UNI!!!" I shouted

"No worries. When you were gone, I shape-shifted into you and attended to all your classes. I didn't need to make an appearance as Yoo Kihyun because I don't really care about UNI. On your table, I left notes of every lesson you missed out on. Make sure you read it" Kihyun said

"You actually went to UNI for me?" I asked

Kihyun nodded.

"Of course. You are my Contractor" Kihyun smiled

Contractor... huh?

For some reason, that reason wasn't what I expected..

I expected something more..

Because... I have feelings for him..

"Okay, let's go to sleep" I said

I headed to my room..

I stopped in my tracks and looked back.

"Kihyun, don't just stand there.. Come and sleep" I said

Kihyun didn't reply..

He seems to be deep in his thoughts..

"Kihyun!" I called

"O-Oh. Neh?" Kihyun replied

"Bed time" I said

"Ah... Neh" Kihyun said

I jumped onto my bed and rolled around.

"I missed you so much.." I said as I hugged my teddies

I looked back and saw Kihyun standing at the door..

...Hmm?

"Jaeryeong... I'm sleeping on the couch today" Kihyun said

I blinked a few times.

"Why? Sleep inside. It's warmer" I said

"I... just feel like sleeping alone today. Next time" Kihyun chuckled

I looked at him weirdly..

"Okay then.." I said

"G-Good night Jaeryeong" Kihyun said as he closed the door

"Night.." I said

Hmm... He's acting a little strange..

I laid down on my bed..

"Oh wells, it's just for today. He'll come and sleep with me again" I said as I closed my eyes

I shot my eyes open and sat up..

"I can't believe I just said that so casually.." I said

Sleeping with Kihyun became so normal..

My face turned beet red..

I shook my head.

"Go to sleep! You have UNI tomorrow" I said

I laid back down and shut my eyes..

I dropped my pen.

Kihyun's face was stoned..

The class started getting rowdy and chattered around..

WHAT. IS. GOING. ON. HERE.

"Today, we have new transfer students. They're all from overseas so treat them nicely" The teacher said

Can someone kindly explain to me...

WHY THEY'RE HERE?!!

"Go ahead and introduce yourselves" The teacher said

"Name's Kim Ahyoung. Call me Yura, you humans" Avery said

DON'T ADDRESS PEOPLE AS "HUMANS". WHAT IS IT WITH DEMONS?!

"I'm Yura's younger sister, Kim Dani. Nice to meet you" Delancey bowed

Well at least we have a decent one here.. Phew..

"Lee Hoseok here! Call me Wonho and Dani is mine! She's my girlfri--" Wonho smiled until Avery jabbed him in the stomach

"Mian. He ate spoiled cereal today. So he's drunk" Avery said

You can't get drunk from eating cereal.. Haven't you studied the human philosophies?!

"I'm Im Changkyun. You can call me I.M. I am Yoo Kihyun's older brother. Don't mistake me as him please. We don't like each other. He's annoying and I'm hot tempered. Not a good combination. Let's get along well" Kronos smiled

What kind of introduction is that?! MORE LIKE A COMPLAINT.

Plus I feel like he stolen those lines from somewhere... Hmmm...

The class got a rowdier.. Especially the girls..

I looked at Kihyun once again...

His facial expression clearly says "I just want to hide in a hole and die"

"What a weird group of people.." Minhyuk said

"Anyways, nice to meet you all!" They all said in unison (but in different tones)

This... is going to be a handful..

I laid my head onto the table and sighed..

"What's wrong? Is something the matter?" Dani asked

"It's because of you guys" Kihyun sighed

"We'll try not to make things harder for you" Dani said

"Is that so? Kumaw--" I said

"Although we do need a place to stay" Wonho said

"I'm pretty hungry. What is edible in this world?" I.M asked

"The human world is so complicated" Yura said

"How so?" Wonho asked

"I got thirsty... so I went to order a water bottle from a big metal box but it wouldn't understand what I was saying.. Then some human girl went up to me and said 'You have to type down the number of drink you want, not speak to it' I told her I only wanted one water bottle so then she typed down 012. I didn't ask for 12 water bottles so I thought she was stupid however, only one water bottle came out of the box. Even though the human typed down 12.... Only one came out. I don't understand. She asked for 12 yet the big box gave her one bottle?" Yura questioned

Oh my lord.. Is she talking about a Vending Machine?

"Pfft..."

Wonho and Kihyun started cracking up.

"What? WHAT? Why are you laughing? Explain it to me at once!" Yura ordered

"That is strange though. So if I were to type down the number 30, it would still give me one bottle?" I.M asked

"Most likely.." Yura said

"What a rip-off.." I.M said

"No--PFFT. It's not like that--HAHAHA" Wonho laughed

"So where are we going to stay after? At Jaeryeong's?" Yura asked

"You don't have to. There's something called a hotel. I'll explain more about it later"'Kihyun said

"Ooh. Alright then. Let's go talk to this person called Hotel" Yura said

"No, it's a place" Kihyun said

"Oh. A palace..." Yura said

"No, a place" Kihyun said

"Palace. Got it" Yura said

"NO. ITS A PLACE. Why can't you get it right?" Kihyun sighed

Says the person who says Mango books..

"Wait, do they even have the money for that?" I asked

"No worries, I have money. I learned how to turn Demon currency to human money" Kihyun said

"Mwoh?! Since when?" I asked

"How do you think I got myself a phone? I told you I have connections" Kihyun said

"So pretty much, we'll be filthy rich" Wonho said

"Excuse you. I take baths everyday" Yura said

"I don't think he meant that literally" Dani said

"Then what does he mean?" Yura asked

"We're gonna need to study about the human world tonight" Dani sighed

I chuckled.

I thought having more demons would be more troublesome but really..

It's way more fun.

"How is this fun?" Kihyun asked

"Reading my mind again huh? Well, the more the merrier I guess" I said

Kihyun stared at me..

"I need to talk to you" Kihyun said as he stood up from his seat

Kihyun started to walk away..

Hmm?

I followed Kihyun who suddenly stopped in his tracks.

I looked around... Hardly anyone here..

"Kihyun? What's wrong?" I asked

"....Jaeryeong, I have something to ask you" Kihyun said

"Neh?" I asked

"Do you seriously... have feelings for me?" Kihyun asked

My eyes widened....

"Mwoh? What are you talking about?" I asked

"....I know Jaeryeong. I heard your thoughts last night" Kihyun said

Oh crap..

I forgot about that..

My heart started to pound..

"Oh.. Um... about that.." I said

I started to play with my fingers..

"The thing is.. I.. I think I--" I said

"Stop there" Kihyun said

Huh?

"Don't continue the words you're about to say" Kihyun said

"B-But why?" I asked

"Such feelings are forbidden between Demons and Humans" Kihyun said
