KIHYUN POV

I teleported inside the house and threw my bag aside.

I saw Jaeryeong sleeping on the couch with her phone in her hand..

Wait a minute..

I took out my phone.

[Jaeryeong - 18 missed calls]

I saw messages from Jaeryeong..

Where are you?

Why aren't you back?

Kihyun! Answer please.

I ate the porridge..

It's so late now..

Where aren't you answering my calls?

Come home please.

Kihyun... Don't leave me..

"Excuse me for intruding like this" I said as I touched her forehead

FLASHBACK (JAERYEONG POV - 7 years old)

"Appa! Omma! Are you leaving again?" I asked

"Neh.. it's for work" Omma said

"Mianhe. We'll be back" Appa said

"Okay" I smiled

I waited... waited... and waited...

But they never came back..

I was washing the dishes then the door opened.

My eyes widened.

"Appa! Omma!" I smiled

"Hey" Omma said

"Yah! Where were you guys? You guys disappeared for like 3 weeks and a few days!" I said

"Mianhe. It was for work" Appa said

"Yeobo, get your stuff ready. Quick" Omma said then Appa headed into his room

"Eh? Where are you going now?" I asked

"Somewhere. We're really busy" Omma said

"We'll come back soon" Appa said walking out

They both exited out the door.

....You guys say Work..

Where at work?

....You guys says Somewhere...

What do you mean by Somewhere?

You appear then reappear then appear again..

Each and every time you leave me alone.. it tears me apart..

I felt alive but inside, I was dying.. of sadness and lonliness..

You guys always leave me.. and never come back for a long period of time..

I got myself under the blankets on my bed and shutted my eyes.

Is that person back again??

I flinched.

"OPEN THE DOOR! I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE MR AND MRS KWON!"

"OPEN UP!!"

I held my head..

My hands won't stop trembling..

My body won't stop shaking..

Omma... Where are you Omma?

"OPEN THE DOOR!!"

"HURRY OR I'LL BREAK THE DOOR DOWN!"

Omma... Appa.... Where are you?

"WHERE DID YOU GUYS GO?" I cried

"DAMN IT! I'LL BE BACK! DON'T THINK THIS WILL STOP ME"

.........Is it... finally over?

My head hurts so much.. Omma.. Appa...

I laid down on my bed hugging my teddy

Tears dripped down my cheeks.

I wiped it but more kept flowing..

Omma... Appa...

I heard the door unlocking..

My eyes widened..

What? Who? How?

The only people that has the keys to this house.. is....

"Jaeryeong! We're home!"

I frozed..

They're home..

It's them...

I ran out of the door and saw Omma and Appa.

I smiled.

"OMMA! APPA!" I cried

"J-Jaeryeong! What's wrong?" Omma asked as she hugged me

"There was a scary person demanding to see you guys! That person was so scary!" I cried

"A person... Were you sure it was a person?" Omma asked

Huh?

"What... do you mean?" I asked

"Yeobo, could it be..." Omma said

"Let's go" Appa said

"W-Where are you going this time?!" I exclaimed

"Stay here. We'll be back for you" Appa said

"Promise" Omma said

They exited out of the door..

After that...They actually.. never came back..

...What was that..

Her past... She must be traumatised

Afraid of people leaving her

However, those people.. her parents..

The clothing they wore..

I can't believe it.

Jaeryeong's Parents are...

I noticed Jaeryeong waking up..

JAERYEONG POV

I opened my eyes then saw Kihyun..

I shot up then smiled.

"Kihyun! You returned!" I said as I hugged him tightly

Just then..

I had a dream of my parents..

It was horrible..

Since they left me.. and broke their promise

But Kihyun, you returned to me..

I let go of him.

"Mianhe for hugging you suddenly like that" I said

Kihyun caressed my cheek.

He pulled me in a embrace.

My eyes widened.

"Jaeryeong, I will never leave your side" Kihyun said

My heart thumped..

"....Mwoh?" I said

"I will be by your side. Always. Forever" Kihyun said

"..... You.. won't leave me?" I asked

"Neh. I won't" Kihyun said

Kihyun seperated from me.

Our eyes were in lock..

My heart beated faster..

"Will... you promise me?" I asked

"I told you I don't keep promises" Kihyun said

....Oh. Right..

"Instead I swear on my contract with you" Kihyun said

<DUGEUN>

Wait... can't I use my wish for this?

If I wish for him to stay with me... He'll--

"Don't" Kihyun said

I frozed.

"Even if you wish that, our contract will be broken and I will return to the Demon World" Kihyun said

"But then if I wish for you to be with me forever, you'll--" I said

"I will return to the Demon World either way.. and if I do return.. It'll be very hard for me to escape that place.. Especially since I'm....." Kihyun said then paused

Especially... since you're... what?

"Nevermind. Anyways, go to sleep. You need to rest" Kihyun said

"Kihyun--" I said

"Wait! Let me check!" Kihyun said touching my forehead

My cheeks flared up.

"37.6 degrees... It lowered.. But you're still not well so go to sleep" Kihyun said

"A-Alright" I said

Kihyun carried me up then took me to my room.

He placed me down gently on my bed and wrapped the blanket on me

"Stay there. I'll just go put a towel on your forehead so go ahead and sleep first" Kihyun said

"N-Neh.." I said

Kihyun left the room.

He's... suddenly so nice.. and caring..

It doesn't even seem like he's a demon..

It's weird.. because he isn't always like this..

My eyes felt heavy..

I should sleep and get some rest...

So I can get well and stop Kihyun from worrying..

KIHYUN POV

I opened the door.

Zzzz...

I tiptoed to her and saw her sleeping..

I smiled.

I placed the towel on her forehead.

"Get well soon Jaeryeong" I said as I leaned towards her head

I kissed her forehead.

"Goodnight" I said

SOMEONE POV

"....I can't take this anymore" I said

"Lady Avery? What's wrong--" Delancey asked

"I can't wait for him anymore. I'm going to find him" I said

"F-Find him? But we don't know his locatio--" Delancey said

"Activate: Dimensional Vision" I said

I closed my eyes...

Search... look around..

Where is he?

I felt a presense... in the human world?

This presense..

There's no mistake.

"I found you, Krylne Astaroth" I smiled
