Chapter 1

The trailor of this book is on the side. The only things that don't happen is they don't get trapped in the cave thing and no one finds out about them only the boys. And there tails are not that color or shape. I will show you a video of Olivia's tail for sure, but i don't know about the other girls.

Olivia's POV**

I hopped down the stairs with a big thump at the bottom of the stairs. My feet hit the cold wooden floor. I ran past the kitchen quickly shouting at my friends.

"Eva! Tatum! I'm going for a swim!"

"Okay we will meet you out there in 20 minutes." Eva mumbled.

She shoves the last piece of pancake in her mouth with a fork. She turns around towards me while grabbing her phone from the counter and sliding it in her back pocket.

"N-No," I stuttered. "I mean...I just want some alone time." 

I bite my lip looking at the ground know she won't be happy that I've been going swimming alone. I stood there waiting for the moment.

"Whats wrong with you Olivia? You never go swimming with us anymore! What's wrong?" Tatum sighs throwing her hands in the air with defeat.

"And you've been acting very weir-" 

"BYE!!" I turn around and rush out the door not letting Eva finish her sentence.

I didn't want to start this conversation with them, again.

Eva's POV**

Olivia just ran out the door not letting me finish my sentence. What is up with her?

"What do you think is going on with Olivia?" I ask Tatum concerned.

"I don't know, but I might know how to figure out." Tatum grins devilishly.

"How?" I ask her, shrugging throwing my arms up in the air. 

"We follow her, but we got to keep up with her come on."

I grin, then we ran to the window. She runs into the water and dives in disappearing under the smashing waves. We slide out the door and run to the edge of the water. There was nothing but water and waves. No sign of Olivia anywhere.

"Where did she go?" Tatum questions still scanning the water for her.

I shrug and look out farther out into the ocean, my hand covering the sun light beaming down on me. Right in front of me there is a Island about 3 to 4 miles away into the sea. I could barely see the out line of this island. Fog covered.

"Do you think she went to that Island over there?"

"So you think she swam there?" I chuckle just a bit hearing how absurd Tatum was being.

"I guess it wouldn't hurt to check, lets get the boat."

I looked at her in disbelief. How the heck would Olivia just swim there? Its three to four miles n the ocean with no boat. 

Olivia's POV**

Your probably wondering what's going on.

I'm Olivia Fray. I live on the beach with my friends Eva and Tatum. Its good i live on the beach because...im a mermaid.

Yes apparently mermaids aren't real i thought the same before i became one. I will tell you the story later.

I walk up to the edge of the water, looking at the reflection of the sun bounce off the waves.

I run out in the water, diving in when I'm deep enough. My tail magically appears. Bubbles go around me as a swim off to my place, which is my waterfall in a cave.

It takes me a easy minute and a half to swim 4 miles.

There's a under water enterest i use when i swim. I slide under and i feel the water fall hit my face.

FLASHBACK:

(Or as i would say SPLASHBACK yea im going to use that :))

"Im going for a swim guys bye!!" I shout loud enough so Tatum could hear.

"Be careful its getting really dark and it looks like its going to rain." Tatum yells being her motherly self.

I turn to the door and roll my eyes. "Ok."

I walk out the door and straight to the water. I put my surf board in the water and lay on it. I paddle out farther into the water.

About 20 minutes of surfing it starts down pouring. I try swimming back but im getting tossed around like a rag doll.

Suddenly I get my head up from the pounding waves and open my eyes. The rain has died down but I cant see where i am so there's no point of trying to swim back.

I started to panic, I couldn't see anything!

I look to my right, spotting a little island. Sadly not the beach but oh well, it's better then swimming in a direction you don't know. I sigh and start swimming quickly towards it.

I walk up and down the shore to see where the beach is. I still cant see anything.

For a 15 year old this is very scary. What if i cant get off this Island? what if i don't see my friends again? what if them stuck here forever?

I finally decided that i might not get off this Island anytime soon until the whether gets better so i started to search the Island.

I was on a bunch of rocks and i heard something like a waterfall. I don't know why I did what I did but I jumped. I fell into a cave thing with a little pool, glowing blue with a waterfall. There were tunnel rings so there was a under water exit. I walked up to it and deeply breathed in.

I put a foot out and step on a rock looking thing. I do the same with my other foot and jump in. When I popped up, I was right under the water fall. The water fall hits my face.

I was just to go until when something caught my eye. A beautiful necklace sits on a rock like someone set it there.

I pick it up. I shrug and slide it around my neck. It was a Orangish,Greenish, but mostly light blue.

I dive under the water. When I popped up out of the water I could see the beach. I swam quickly. Hey, good thing I was a swimmer in middle school. I ran up the beach and finally found my house.

I open the door to my worried friends.

"Are you ok Olivia? You been gone for 3 hours we thought something bad happened to you!" Eva panickily hugs me.

"Well im alive if you didn't notice. Um, Can you let go Eva?"

"Ah yeah, sorry."

She lets go and I smile at them. I turn around and start walking up stairs.

"Um Olivia?"

"Ya Tatum?"

I look at her.

"Were did you get that necklace?" She questions walking closer to me.

I thought about it. I didn't want them to worry about me so much so i decided not to tell them about the Island or the cave thing or anything really.

"I found it when i was coming back from the water."

See I told you I was a terrible liar.

"Oh its very pretty." She complimented.

"Thanks."

***The Next Day***

I wake up in my bed. I was still in my swim suit on from yesterday. Everything comes flooding back into my mind. I sigh and grab the necklace that still sits on my neck.

I get out of my bed and skip to the bathroom, humming 'Scream' by Usher. I start the tub and a bit later i turn it off. I strip and hop in.

I deeply inhale. I feel something weird. I look down at my legs and water was spinning around them. When the water disappeared, instead of my two legs there a blue, orange and yellow, floppy tail. My eyes widen at the sight. I close my eyes tightly. Its just a dream repeats in my head but when I open my eyes its still there. I wanted to scream to Eva and Tatum but i didn't want them to think im a freak and call the cops or animal control on me.

I pull myself out of the bathtub as soon as it drained all the way. I grab my towel and rubbed all the water off my tail. Nothing happened. I was freaking out and a clenched my fist over my tail. Smoke filled the bathroom.

As it cleared i saw my legs again. I looked at my legs and arms. Totally dry. I touched my hair. Absolutely dry. Not a drop of water was on me.

END OF FLASHBACK:

And that is what happened. I figured out my powers, how to dry myself, and how the necklace and waterfall did this to me. I still keep it a secret and im planning on keeping it that way.

The next chapter is when Tatum and Eva go to the Island. Do you think they will see Olivia as a mermaid?
