Attack on Titan: Biker Trouble

14:17, 15 November 2018

It was another day inside of Trost district within Wall Rose. Kiyomi wasn't doing much, she did a little bit of training for awhile but felt she had to take a break.

Lately she's been wanting to hang out with Armin every chance she had, but each and every time Armin turned her down and told her that he was busy.

This sadden Kiyomi greatly. The lack of being g able to spend some quality time with her beloved Armin was enough for her to question herself whether she was becoming depressed or not.

And she knew for sure if she'd go running to Armin yet again, he'd turn down her offer to hang out. But she was worried. What if the reason why Armin hasn't been wanting to hang out is because he doesn't like her anymore and doesn't want to even be friends?

Kiyomi was sensitive by nature, but despite that she tried to stay strong. But she felt as though she wouldn't be able to remain that way for too much longer.

But then she can hear a voice calling out her name, snapping Kiyomi out of her gloomy thoughts. She jerks her head and looks around until she spots Armin! He was running over to her with a huge smile on his face!

"A-Armin? Aren't you...busy?" Kiyomi quietly asked. "No, no! Not anymore! I've finally finished it! Com'on, I want to show you!" Armin takes Kiyomi's hands into his own and leads her to a part of the city through some alleyways that seemed pretty much abandoned.

Eventually Armin takes Kiyomi up to an old shed that looked as if it hasn't been used in a long time. Armin walks into the dark she'd to return with a bike. But it wasn't just any bike...it was an motorcycle

"You...made this?"

"Yeah, do you like it? How to create one was written in a book stored in my attic! Want to ride?"

Kiyomi is immediately taken aback when Armin offered her to go on a ride with him. "B-But...we will get in trouble! We will be disturbing the peace."

"It will be fine. This engine will out run anything! So c'mon, pleeeease? I spent such a long time working on this. Won't you try it out with me?"

"B-But....H-How fast is it? Is it fast enough to outrun a Titan?" Armin chuckles upon hearing Kiyomi ask this particular question. "Hop on, and you'll find out!"

Kiyomi was quite nervous about this. She was worried about the consequences if they are stopped by the Garrison or Military Police, but she was worried about how fast it is. She doesn't want herself or Armin to get hurt, after all.

But then again, this was Kiyomi's chance to perhaps wrap her arms around Armin's waist and to be close to him. Kiyomi couldn't possibly pass this opportunity up, so she decided to go along and ride with Armin, much to his happiness.

Kiyomi hops on from behind and wraps her arms around Armin's waste while blushing several shades of red. "Are you ready?" Armin asked Kiyomi while looking over his shoulder.

"U-Um, Armin? Have you...ever rode a Motorcycle before? Did you ever test it out?"

"No, this is actually my first time. But I read the book on how to not only make this bike, but how to ride one. So don't worry." Armin tried to reassure Kiyomi that everything would turn out alright and that with his knowledge from the books he's poured himself into over these Motorcycle nothing bad would happen.

"B-But..."

"Kiyomi, I would never willingly put you into any kind of danger. Ever. So please, believe in me okay?"

With that, Kiyomi felt she had no choice but to put her faith in Armin and she nods with a nervous smile. "Okay...I believe you."

Armin turns on the engines that immediately begins to rumble, and before long, the bike begins to zoom across the streets.

Many citizens stood out of the way looking in awe. Kiyomi hoped they weren't getting any funny ideas about them or the bike. This was an invention that was around during the time and age before the Titans ever appeared. So nobody has ever seen one before.

As Armin and Kiyomi rode, Kiyomi tightened her grip around Armin's waste as if nervous about falling off. She was even holding on for dear life!

"Kiyomi, you don't need to hold on so tightly! You won't fall, I promise." Chuckled Armin with a bright and reassuring smile.

In the end, Kiyomi lightened her grip so she wouldn't be squeezing the heck out of poor Armin. But as they peacefully rode across the streets throughout Trost, before long, Garrison soldiers could be seen flying through the city and the Military police riding on horseback. They were all after Armin and Kiyomi.

Armin finally began to wonder if this idea of his was actually a terrible one. The soldier's would shout for the two to stop. Armin didn't know what exactly to do. He didn't want to put Kiyomi's life in danger if the government thought of his invention as a threat or other.

But then again, if they didn't listen to the orders being given out, they could perhaps be thought of as rebels. And even if not that, they are fellow soldiers and soldiers ought to follow the orders given to them.

So Armin slowly stops the bike and turns off the engine. Before he knew it the Garrison was pointing guns at them, scaring the daylights out of Kiyomi. They shouted for the two to slowly step away from the bike and to put their hands up where they can see them.

Both did as ordered, and before long a soldier or two rushed over, forcing each on their knees before chaining up their wrist. Kiyomi glanced over to Armin, exchanging a fearful look. She feared that they may be about to be thrown into jail.

But Armin knew better. He knew they would at the very least be questioned first before the worst. But he did feel guilt for dragging Kiyomi into this mess.

What started out being a little bit if innocent fun, turned out putting the two into a Titanic amount of trouble.

Both Armin and Kiyomi were questioned, and Armin explained about the book he had and how he invented it not to disturb the peace nor to put the lives of the citizens into danger, but for fun.

"Fun? You think endangering everyone's lives inside the walls is fun?" The Military Police soldier they were questioning was enraged by Armin's answer. But of course, being as smart as he was, Armin Armin had his ways in getting himself and others out of this sort of trouble.

"No sir, I do not find endangering the people here fun. What I meant by fun was that I just wanted to invent something that both me and Kiyomi would enjoy. I was careful and made sure that nobody got hurt. But I can see this has greatly disturbed many and it won't happen again."

The officer looked as if he wanted to bark back at Armin, but he honestly couldn't say anything back since Armin wasn't really using any excuses, he was honest and this was his way in apologizing for his actions.

Armin and Kiyomi are freed without having any charges pressed against them, however, the fact that Armin invented something deemed illegal here in the walls, was put into his records. The government also asked for Armin's book, which he gave away without any complaints, and they disposed of it.

"Armin...I'm sorry about this." Kiyomi suddenly comes out and apologies, surprising Armin. "No Kiyomi, it's not your fault. It's mine. It was inconsiderate of me to ignore the idea of what everyone here in the Walls would think. I probably shouldn't have invented that...and I'm sorry I dragged you with me in that mess."

Kiyomi shakes her head back and forth in response. "It's okay." There was silence as the two sat up high on top one of the red rooftops here inside Trost. There was silence that fell between the two for awhile. But eventually...

"Um...I wanted you to know that I had fun Armin. Sure, we may had got in trouble for it in the end, but I just wanted you to know that I enjoyed today." Kiyomi smiled.

It relieved Armin to hear this. "I'm glad. I'm glad you enjoyed today even when we got ourselves in trouble. I promise next time we do something, I won't drag you into anything crazy like that again, okay?"

"Okay, sounds good!" Kiyomi nods in agreement. "Oh, and Armin? Now that your finished with inventing that bike....can we please start hanging out again, like we used to?"

"Of course."
