Chapter 8
21:26, 25 June 2014KYLEE POV
While dumb and dumber slept, Castiel appeared. I sat on the little counter in the small kitchenette.
"I have news." He dead panned.
"Lay it on me, Angel Boy." I whispered.
"I'll lay the news on you? That does not make any sense."
"It's figuratively. Tell me what happened." I moved on, and rolled my eyes.
"Well, from now on, you have to stay out of sight. There's demons, and other creatures on the watch for you. So, stay somewhere safe." Cas wasn't so good at the whispering thing.
"Cas!" He disappeared, "There's nowhere safe to hide."
Ignoring his orders, I went to Sammy's computer, and searched up 'Sacred Sites'. What? It was the only guess I had. Caves, mountains, and companies popped up. I canceled out GW companies, and clicked on a website that held 'sacred places of God.' Hah... Yeah. Right. But, I clicked on it anyways.
Mountains all over the world popped up. From India, to the Rockies in Colorado. Another link sped me over to the Rocky Mountain National Park. I scrolled around, clicking on links for mountain sites, and caves. That's when something caught my eye.
"'Cave of Wanders. Sword of goddess in the center of cave. Pull it out, win $1,000.' Yahtzee. Found my sword. Only, I'm not winning the money." I mumbled to myself. Before I closed the laptop, I looked at the picture. The stone that held the sword had ancient drawings all over it. I looked at the clock, "Seven AM... Time to shower and eat."
Looking for my duffel, I realized it wasn't here. Great. I grabbed my keys, and walked out to my car. I propped open the motel door with my shoe, and unlocked my car. Opening my trunk, it was slammed, and I was thrown on top of it,
"So, this is where you choose to hide out? With Moose and Dean?" Crowley's accent was in front of me.
"Who says in hiding out? I'm here to ice Dick. So, please drop the invisible hold." I growled.
Another growl came from my feet. There sat the oversized Rottweiler, "if you don't tell me where the sword is, I'll let my pup have an early dinner."
"You said you'd leave me alone. So... Go."
He smirked, "Actually, I said I'd leave. Never said anything about leaving you alone."
"You-"
"Ass? Yes I know. Now, where is the sword?"
"I don't know! I'm looking for it. I've been looking for it since you left me four days ago." I growled.
"I'll give you seven more days. If you don't find it, Buddy will have a snack." With that, he disappeared, and I fell off my trunk.
I brushed myself off, and re-opened the trunk. I grabbed my duffel, and ran back to the room. Both of them still slept. So, me being me, I grabbed a machete and hit it against the mini table. Both of them grabbed the guns under the pillows, and almost shot me. I smirked, and put the weapon away.
"Mornin' boys." I said, going back to the shower.
----------
I dried my body off, and pulled clean clothes from the bag. I put on black slacks, a turquoise blouse, and a black blazer. Drying my hair, it turned to its natural mini curls. I left it that way, and brushed through it. Walking out of the bathroom , I shoved everything back in it. Before I closed it, I grabbed my flats. Slipping them on, I felt eyes all over me.
"Take a picture. It'll last longer before I smack you." I said, without looking at them.
"You're really a wonderful person, ya' know that?" Dean said sarcastically.
"I like to think that way." I smiled, and looked at them, "what's the plan?"
"Well, we found the person who opened the hard drive. We're gonna go get her, and I don't know what you're doing." Sam explained.
"Well, I'm going to find a hunter- Garth. I need to ask him about a few things. He's around." I said.
"Wait... You know Garth?" Dean made this weird fish lipped face.
"Yes, we've known each other since my dad died. He's useful. A little scrawny, but useful with his brain."
"Have fun." Dean said sarcastically.
Before I left, I went back to Sam's laptop, and emailed the link to the website to myself. I closed the page, and grabbed my keys. I waved, and unlocked my Impala.
____________
SAM POV
After Kylee left, Dean started to question me.
"Did she tell you about the weapon?"
"Yes."
"Something's up with her. We have to find it. But, let's gank this person hacking Frank's hard drive." Dean grabbed his pistol, and we left.
We drove to the person's apartment, and got inside. From what we saw, the person like action figures. And video games. We hid. When the door opened, we saw a red haired girl fumbling to get things together. I showed myself, and she ran over to a fake sword by the door, and repeatedly hit me with it.
"Stop! We're not here to hurt you!" I shouted, and grabbed the sword, "We're not Leviathan."
"Then, who are you?!" She freaked out .
"We're Sam and Dean. What did you see on that hard drive?" I asked.
"A lot. I deleted a majority of it, only because it was against Dick Roman, and-" she thought, "Winchesters. I didn't delete something's because they were unimportant. But, there were emails that were for Roman's building thing. I forwarded them to myself-"
"Chill out, Hackey." Dean said, "Can you hack into his email? Maybe his computer?"
"Not without actually being at his computer, but... I can try."
From there, we made a plan.
_____________
KYLEE POV
It took me an hour to get to Garth's little place. I couldn't describe it. It had warding symbols against everything.
I pushed open the metal door. Nothing was home. Er... No one was home. I pulled out my pistol from the holster, and had it pointed in front of me. I heard another gun ready to shoot. I turned around as saw my scrawny friend.
"Drop the gun!" His slight southern accent rang loud through the room, "Wait- Kylee?"
I re-holstered the gun, and held my arms out, "That'd be me, Garth."
He put his gun in his waistband, and hugged me. He's smart, but he could use some meat on his bones.
"How's it been? I-I haven't seen you in what? A year? Two?" He shrugged his eyebrows, "want a beer?"
"I'm surprised you even have alcohol. Last time you drank, you had one beer, and I had to pick you up from the floor." I smirked, "But, sure. One beer. I'm driving."
"Where are you driving to?" He asked, handing me a beer, and leaning in a chair.
"After the leviathan fiasco, I'm going to Colorado." I told him the whole story. I'm doing that a lot. Telling a stupid story, "So, yeah."
He seemed surprised, but it was soon washed away, "Well, when this Leviathan thing is over, be careful."
I smiled a little, "Thanks, Garth. Can you help me with something?"
He nodded. I kind of thought it over.
"When this truly is over, I'm going to get the stupid sword, and hide out. Try and live a normal life... But, I can't do that with the Winchesters. Sammy has a crush, and Dean is just a douche. And, because I'm selfish, I don't want any of them bringing danger where it's not needed. If you get my flow?" I sipped the beer. Confusion swept over me. But, it wasn't my emotion.
"What can I help with then?" He asked, but nodded at my suggestion.
"Keep them from following me. I'm just going to drop off the earth like I've done before. Solve the 'bump in the night' in Boston. Just tell them that... I don't know. I killed myself? You have me a hunter's burial, and left it alone?"
It seemed to hurt my friendly hunter, but I just didn't want to stay in this, "Yeah... Yeah. I can do that." He gave me a sad smile.
"I'm sorry, Garth. But, don't worry. I'll visit." I winked, "Well, I gotta go. I'll see ya' later? Give me a call." I tossed a piece of paper with my number on it.
"Will do," we both got up, and he gave me a light hug, "Stay in touch."
"Okay. Thank you, Garth." We pulled away, and I was back on the road.

I drove back to the motel. Which, Dean and Sam were lounging on the beds. Weird... Usually they're feeling out about the Leviathans or whatever is at hand. I guess not now.
"Hey, guys-" a female voice walked in the room behind me, "Who's this?"
"Kylee." I shook her hand.
"Oh. Well, I'll do whatever you wanted me to do... Even if it'll cost me my job. Maybe my life." She said.
Sam told me their plan. Charlie here, works for RRE, and found Frank's hard drive. Well, Dick made her crack it open, and that's what led us here. She's going to use her knowledge to crack into Dick's office, hack into his email, and put it on a flash drive. Then, being it back to us, so we know what his grand plan is. I was surprised they were actually letting a normal person- totally new to all of this- go in, and rush dying at the hands of Dick. That sounds so wrong, but- never mind.
"One problem. How is she going to protect herself against Dick if she is caught?" I asked.
"We'll be waiting outside... So, she'll be fine." Dean said.
"Super fool-proof plan, Dean." I said sarcastically.
He just rolled his eyes.
_________
As the dark came closer, everybody got ready. I drove my impala with Charlie in the passenger seat. All of us had ear pieces, and Charlie was able to hear us all.
"Ready Charlie?" I asked.
"Of course she is." Dean replied.
Did I mention that we could hear each other? Yeah...
"I'll be okay." Charlie nodded.
"Good luck." I said, unlocking my doors.
She got out with her bag, and stood in front of the camera. With her help, Sam hacked the security cameras and now they're monitoring them. They can loop the footage for 15 minutes, giving Charlie enough time to get the info, and leave. Hopefully.
I could hear Charlie lowly singing 'Walking on Sunshine'. While Dean asked why. She was nervous. I mean , I see why. It's probably her first time doing something like this ... Aside from hacking.
"Charlie, see the flask in your bag?"
Charlie looked, "Yeah. Thanks." She took a swig of it.
"Yeah... Don't lose it. It was kind of Bobby's." Dean said. My eyes widened. Dammit Bobby.
"Okay."
On cue , she went in the building, and I could hear her tell us she was at the doors of Dick's office. There was a security guard. Wonderful.
"Flirt." Dean said.
"He's not exactly my type." She whispered nervously.
"Pretend he is."
"Dean. She doesn't swing with the boys." I tapped my steering wheel.
"Then... Imagine him with boobs." Was Dean's reply.
I face palmed. Really? Seriously, Dean .
"That's helpful . But, I don't exactly know how to flirt." She whispered back.
"Well-" Dean started.
"No. I got this Dean. You'll just- imaging him with boobs!" I shot.
"Shaddup." He grumbled.
"Anyway, have you ever seen him before?" I asked Charlie.
"Yeah... We make eye contact every once in a while. But, that's all."
"Okay, well, walk in there, and ask to... I don't know. Powder your face. And smile." She smiled, "Okay, like Scarlet Johansson is standing in the room." Her smile became much more seductive.
"Hi, uh... I'm Charlie from downstairs. Can I use the ladies' room , the one downstairs is gross..." She stated.
I had my laptop, so I was able to listen to the conversation.
"Uh, sure." The guard spoke.
"Copy after me. Do you want to go out for drinks some time?" She said it after I did.
"Yeah, that'd be great."
"Cool. Uh, where's the restroom again?"
"Down the hall. First door on the right."
"Thanks. Good job Charlie." We both said, "Shut up charlie!"
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"Yeah... Sorry."
I waited a few minutes before I got a reply.
"Kay. I'm in the office. Downloading files..." She paused, "Uh- oh."
"What?" Dean and I asked.
Nothing but silence on the other end. I grabbed my pistol and a silver dagger. I didn't know how to kill these things. Don't judge me. 90% of the monsters we hunt, silver is lethal to. It was also one of the only things that came to mind.
Before I could open my door, I saw Dick Roman and some of his crew walk into the building.
"Charlie! Charlie! Talk to me. You need to get out of there. Now!" I nearly shouted into the ear piece.
Dean and Sam were missing. Like , legitimately gone . Their Impala gone. Shit. Looks like I have to deal with things.
I broke the locked glass door. Charlie was thrown against the wall, and she broke her arm. I heard the sickening crack. Dick Roman walked up to her, about to grab her , but I shot his healing face with a silver bullet. He didn't move, but kept doing what he was doing. So, I kicked him square in the face. Dick left Charlie alone, and glared at me.
"Well, well. Looks like the Winchesters have a back up." He smirked, and the bullet fell from his cranium.
"Who says I'm their back up?" I shot both of his eyes, and saw Bobby appear.
Bobby pushed him back with so much force. It was a vengeful spirit force. Dammit!
"Go!" He shouted at me.
I grabbed Charlie, and picked the light girl over my shoulder. She was pretty damn light for a grown woman. Maybe 100 pounds. Maybe more. Anyway, I ran as fast as I could to my car, and put her in the back seat. Speeding off, I saw Charlie in the back seat- out cold. She held her arm.
"To the hospital." I said.
____________
After the whole hospital, Sam and Dean met me the next morning so we could take Charlie to an airport.
We walked her to the bussing, and I have her a tight hug.
"Thanks for all your help. I'm sorry you got hurt." I said, pulling away.
"I'll be fine, but seriously . If you guys ever call me, I will murder you. Got it?" Charlie pointed at all of is.
"Got it." We said in unison.
"Well, peace bitches." She did the alien hand thing. Ya' know, where you stick your pinkie and ring finger together , then do the same with the middle and index? Yeah, that one.
"Okay. Bye, Charlie." I said.
"Oh, and to I think my name's actually Charlie? Haha. Nope!" She ran to the buses.
I rolled my eyes. The three of us dispersed to our cars, and made out way back to Soux Falls.
