Chapter 2
02:17, 17 June 2014It'd been a few weeks since the last encounter with Dean and Sam Winchester. I survived, but I had another little trip planned. And my bruises were healed.
"Hello?" Someone said from the other side of the phone receiver.
"Bobby Singer! It's been too long." I said, turning the wheel of my baby.
I was driving to Soux Falls, South Dakota to see an old friend of my dad's.
"Kylee Popp. How's it been? I mean, since your dad passed?" He asked.
The mention of my father made my heart stop a moment, "I've been okay. I guess. Just been busy with work."
"What the reason for the call?"
"Just wanted to call my favorite hunter." I chuckled a little.
"Uh huh. I believe that." He joked along.
"Well, I'm driving, so... I'll talk to you in another couple 'a months." I said, trying to keep the surprise a secret.
_*_*_*_*_*_
Open land was all I saw. Driving through the outskirts of South Dakota wasn't very entertaining. There was nothing but dirt, and a few signs. I kept driving till I saw an old junkyard, or auto shop, sign come into view.
I pulled up, and through the stretch of dirt road. There was old cars everywhere, and of course, Bobby's van. I pulled up next to it, and grabbed a few things from my car. It'll be an interesting surprise.
I walked up to the door, and knocked. Nothing. I tried again, and a shout came from inside.
"Chill out!" It didn't sound like Bobby, but it might be another hunter friend.
The door swung open to reveal Dean Winchester.
"You know Bobby?" We asked at the same time.
"Yeah. He was friends with my dad." I said.
"Well, he's not here. So-"
"I know. It's a surprise, ass." I said, pushing past him.
"Bitch." He shouted.
"Jerk." Sam shouted.
"Not you, Sammy!" I shouted.
I heard silence when I walked into the kitchen. Sam was sitting there, choking on a beer.
"Surprise, surprise, Sammy." I joked.
"What are you-"
"Doing here? Seeing Bobby. What about you?" I leaned against the counter on my back.
"Same thing."
Without asking, I walked over to the fridge. I opened it, and saw six packs of beer cans. I quickly stole one before someone could protest. When I turned back around, Dean was looking at me with a look of distaste, and Sam was smiling. I don't know if that was a good thing, or bad...
"You're really- never mind." Dean pressed his forehead, as if he were suppressing a headache.
"Mmmm... You love me." I said, walking around. I took more sips of the beer, "Ya' know, this place hasn't changed one but since the last time I've been here."
"Jenny, what's up with you being here?" Sam asked.
"Well, A) my name isn't really Jenny. It's Kylee Popp. And B) I told you; it's for Bobby." I replied.
"You didn't think the name thing was important?" Dean spoke snidely.
"Nope." I said, walking away.
I wondered aimlessly. The back had books piled high, and old furniture around. A few devil's traps were carved into a few things, and spray painted on the floor and ceiling. Some of different sizes, and different symbols. Lights flickered, and lights went out.
I ran back to the counter that held salt and holy water. Demons always wanting to be known. I found it funny. A demon walked in, and got stuck in the trap.
"Who are you?" I aimed my shot gun at the female with brunette hair, a short frame, and large brown eyes.
"Good to see you're still alive. Hello, Winchesters. Hello, Kylee." The woman must know us somehow.
"Who the hell are you?" Dean shouted, aiming his gun.
"Chill. It's me, Vivian. Kylee, you know me."
Realization hit, "Dude! I said no body hopping into people that are alive and well!"
"This one was in a coma." She shrugged, tossing papers at me.
I flipped through them. She was right. Sam and Dean both put their guns down.
"Can ya' let me out now?" Vivian asked.
"Why are you friends with a demon?" Dean pulled me aside.
"Because, she's stupid!" Vivian shouted.
"Got that right." Dean retorted.
"It's not like you never had one. Ruby? Yup, I knew her. Haven't seen her in at least a year. And Vivian is just like Ruby. She's just... Slightly more bitchy and sarcastic." I made the 'don't- we- all- know- it' face.
"I HEARD THAT."
"You knew Ruby?" Sam walked in, leaning against the wall.
"For a brief moment. She and Viv tried to kill each other. Talk about messy."
"I HEARD THAT TOO!" Vivian shouted.
"Shut up, Bitch!" I joked,"Anything else?"
Dean and Sam looked at each other. I felt water splash my face.
"AGAIN?! Seriously?! I thought you found that I wasn't a demon yesterday!" I shouted at Dean.
Sam looked at him, "Dean wasn't the one who just threw holy water in your face."
I walked away, hearing them start to bicker. Maybe I should leave... Eh, I'll just hang around until Bobby gets here. I saw Vivian standing in the demon trap, getting angry.
"Can I get out now?" She asked.
"Fine." I grumbled, I took out a pocket knife, and chucked a piece of wood from the floor, "Just watch out where you walk."
"Got it." She said.
Vivian and I walked around, talking about random stuff. It's been at least a year since we last talked, so we had a lot to catch up on. I stopped talking when I heard a gun cock.
"Who are you?" A gruff voice spoke.
"Bobby Singer. It's been too long." I said turning around.
The gun was put down, and Bobby pulled me into a hug.
"Little Miss Kylee Popp. How's my little Poppcorn doin'?" He asked.
He'd used the nickname since I was at least six. My parents and him were good friends. We visited a lot, but it was for my dad's 'business trips.'
"Poppcorn. Really?" Dean started to chuckle.
I pulled from the giant frame of Bobby, "You won't be laughing when you're ball-less."
Dean's face went rigid with fear, then went back to normal, "Ha-ha, you're so funny."
"It's not like there's anything to cut off anyway." I said, earning a chuckle from Bobby, and a loud laugh from Sam.
"Bitch."
"Ass."
"Jjjeeeeeerk." Sam dragged out the word.
"You guys are like a couple 'a children." Bobby joked, patting me between my shoulder blades.
Vivian took this as her cue to leave. I mean, a house full of hunters? Yeah, I'd be gone too.
"I actually have a job for the three of you." Bobby began.
"I'm not working with her."
"I'm not working with them." Both Dean and I said at the same time.
"Come on. You kids are acting like three year olds." Bobby said.
"I'm not working with an ignorant douche." I said, crossing my arms.
"I'm not working with a stubborn kid!" Dean growled.
Bobby rolled his eyes, "It's in Deadwood, South Dakota. About 2 hour drive from here."
"You're making us work together?" Dean spoke again.
"Whether you like it or not, you're doin' this job together! It's too dangerous for you to do it alone."
"I have Sam!" Dean shouted.
"I have.... No one. But I'm good enough!" I began.
"It doesn't matter. You're doing this together." Bobby said, "And that's final."
Bobby gave us all details, even if we didn't want to work together. We had a job in the woods. Wonderful. People went camping, and never got home. When rangers went to check it out, the body, or bodies, were strung up. Mangled, torn apart, and even some parts were missing. Some bodies were never recovered.
"I guess we'll be on our way..." I began, grabbing the duffel and filling it with my few weapons I had on me.
"We're taking my car." Dean spoke.
"They're the same car, dip shit." I smacked the back of his head.
He rolled his eyes, and rubbed the back of his head. I chuckled, and went outside.
"It was nice to see you Bobby. I guess we'll see you soon." I said, turning from my Impala's trunk.
"It was nice to see you, kid. It's been too long." Bobby hugged me, "Be careful. Don't let these idjits get into trouble."
"Then I'd be putting my life on the line." I mumbled, pulling back.
"I heard that." Bobby winked.
Both boys came outside, carrying duffel bags, and Sam carried his computer thing.
"Why do you have a murse?" I joked, earning a glare from Sam.
"You understand me!" Dean said, unlocking his car.
"It's a computer bag." Sam said flatly.
Another person exited Bobby's house. He wasn't familiar at all. He had a beige trench coat, a loosened tie, a white shirt, and nice pants and shoes. It seemed a little creepy.
"Castiel. Nice to see you." Sam said.
"Who is this?" He asked, gesturing to me.
"I'm Kylee. Hunter. Friend of Bobby's." I held out my hand. He took it awkwardly, "you're the uh... Angel.. Right?"
"I guess you can say that." He replied, getting in Dean's car.
I raised my eyebrows. Oh, well.
"We should go. We have to get this job done so we can go back to being our normal selves." I said, sittings in my drivers seat.
My car went down slightly as someone sat down. I looked over. Sam was sitting there like an oversized human. He still fit in my baby fine, but he looked funny. I chuckled at the picture in my head.
"What? Do you mind if I ride with you?" Sam asked.
"I don't mind."
I pushed the keys into the ignition, and music blared through the speakers. It was Bon Jovi's 'Livin' on a Prayer'. The volume seemed to go down until it was just a slight thump in the speakers. I glared at Sam.
"What the hell, dude!" I shouted.
I had old cassettes in the glovebox, and CDs in the center console.
"You need to update your collection. You need CDs or... An iPod or something." Sam said, raisin an eyebrow.
"A) I have CDs. And an iPod. And B) driver picks the music, passenger shuts his cake-hole." I said, reversing my car, and speeding out of Bobby's auto place.
"That's just weird." Sam said.
"What? My taste in music or lack of balls?" I said.
"You're hilarious."

Twenty minutes into the drive, 'Demons' by Imagine Dragons came on. I chuckled.
"That's ironic." I joked.
Sam chuckled as well. I kept my eyes on the road, making sure to keep up with Dean. I looked in is side view mirror. He made eye contact with me, and his eyebrow went up. I averted my eyes, and looked at all of the emptiness around the road. It was just dirt and grass. Empty fields.
"Ya' know, Dean really likes you. He just won't admit it." Sam broke the silence.
My foot hit the brake, creating friction against the tires. My car skidded into the side ditch. Sam's face almost connected with the dash.
"Why did you do that?!" Sam said.
I saw Dean pull over, and stop Baby. Yup, I knew his car's name. I tapped my fingers on the wheel.
"Don't ever scare me like that. That joke wasn't funny." I whispered, still tapping.
"It's not a joke. You should've seen him when he got back to the motel-"
"If you speak more, my fist will embed itself in between your eyes."
Suddenly, my shoulders were grabbed, and my back hit the asphalt. I saw the barrel of a gun aimed at my head.
"I knew you were trouble!" Dean shouted. I heard the gun click, "Why are you threatening Sam?"
"Because, Dean. I'm a succubus." I said sarcastically.
"The fuck is a succubus?"
"A succubus is something, female, that attacks men to usually use them for sex. Then afterwards, devours their being." Sam added, "And she's okay. I said something... And it pissed her off."
"She is telling the truth," Castiel butt in.
"Still don't trust you," Dean said curtly, putting the gun into his waistband.
"Feelings get hurt, princess," I said, pulling myself up, "'Cause you got told by an Angel?"
A quick fist was thrown at my jaw. When I went to duck, his fist connected to my temple. I landed back on the asphalt. I gasped as the my head hit hard. Next thing I know, is nothing.

SAM POV
"Dean!" I shouted.
Not to be the goody two shoes, but punching wasn't the answer... I sound like that therapist at a high school after someone gets in a fight.
"What, Sammy?! Do you expect me to just take it while she acts like queen bitch?" Dean shouted back.
I got out of Kylee's car, and got up to Dean, "really? Because I take you acting like 'king douche' all the time! You can't be a hypocrite to someone who's exactly like you!"
Dean's face softened, "Get back in her car. We're wasting time."
Dean did his walk back to Baby, as well as Cas. I guess Dean doesn't have a comeback for that.
I picked Kylee up, and put her in the back seat. I opened her drivers' side door, and turned the keys in the ignition. Driving became silent for the next few hours.

KYLEE POV
I was running. That's all I was doing. I couldn't control my movements. It was like I was possessed. All the sudden, I could control what I was doing.
"What the hell." I spoke to myself.
I stopped in my tracks, looking around. I was in the woods. Typical nightmare.
"You know me so well." Vivian looked at me.
I turned towards her, "What's this all about?"
"I have a message for the Winchesters." She said, smirking.
Before I could move, I started to choke.

VIVIAN POV
I opened my vessel's eyes. Yes, I was currently possessing beloved Kylee. She'll hate me so much for this. Oh well.
"Holy Jesus." Sam Winchester jumped at my sudden awakening.
"Oh, hardly." I smirked.
"You're funny, Kylee." Sam joked.
He sat back at his computer, researching cases. I know how it all goes down. Hunters get on the computer, check out new reports, and go after the bastards that did it. Hoping it's a supernatural creature.
"Oh, I'm not joking." I made her voice darker, "And don't think of stabbing with that demon knife. You'll just murder Kylee."
"You're that-"
I cut him off, placing my hand around his throat, "I have a message. More like... An order."
"You think that I'll listen to a nasty demon whore?" Sam snapped, choking.
"Oh, Sammy. Always snapping at the one who could snap your neck without a thought." Kylee's voice was menacing. I liked it.
"Bitch." He growled.
I dropped him, noticing I shouldn't kill anyone. Especially not in this body.
"Keep Kylee safe; she's got a weapon linked to her. Demons are going to come after her." My voice was somewhat annoyed, "If you let her die, I'll come after you myself. Got it, Sammy?"
"What's the weapon?"
"No one knows. That's why you have to keep her safe. Castiel leads on less than he knows."
I took my chance, exiting The vessel.
