I woke up to a loud knocking on the door.

"Senator, we've arrived. Come out whenever you're ready," I heard Cody's voice coming from behind the closed door.

"Ok thank you Commander, I'll be out in a minute," I yelled back.

I swung my legs over the side of the bed and sat up slowly before making my way to the door.

I fixed my skirts so they didn't look entirely disheveled and turned the doorknob.

Cody and the other three troopers were standing outside, waiting for me.

I smiled at them, trying to be polite.

"Thank you for waiting," I began, "is there any way you could bring me to General Kenobi and Skywalker, Master Yoda said they were hurt and I want to see them."

I hoped my request didn't give away too much information, but I was desperate to see Anakin.

"Of course Senator, we'll go right away," Cody replied.

"Thank you very much Commander, I greatly appreciate it," I bowed slightly to show my gratitude.

He simply nodded his head and turned to go to the cockpit.

We arrived rather quickly and I was anxious to see Anakin.

I didn't know how badly he had been injured, but no one said he was dead, so I took it as a good sign.

Cody and his men escorted me inside the medical building and into an elevator.

We reached the floor Obi Wan and Anakin were on and I made my way to the medical droid at the counter.

"I'm here to see General Kenobi and General Skywalker," I fidgeted in my spot, my anxiety getting to me.

The droid looked at the screen and replied to my request.

"It seems General Kenobi was discharged earlier this evening, but General Skywalker is in Room 593, may I ask who you are?"

"Senator Verena Leoet, he's my Jedi protector,"

"Alright, I can give you access, but the troopers must stay here," the droid looked to Cody and his men.

"We'll wait for you here Senator," Cody said to me.

I nodded and followed the droid to Anakin's room.

Room 593

I turned the handle a moment after the droid left, still scared about what would greet me on the other side of the door.

I opened it and looked inside.

Anakin was sleeping on a bed with wires connected to monitors displaying his vital signs.

The sight caused tears to prick at my eyes.

I was both relieved that he was alive and scared that he was hooked up to so many machines.

I went to stand on his right side and immediately noticed that his hand was replaced with a metal one.

I hoped that was the worst of his injuries and I then proceeded to inspect his face for marks.

I smiled at his sleeping figure and brushed his hair out of his face as tears escaped my eyes.

"Oh Anakin," I whispered, tracing his face.

Suddenly his face moved to settle in my hand, taking me by surprise.

"Hey darling," he cracked a smile, still not opening his eyes.

He kissed my hand before opening his eyes to look at me, still smiling brightly.

I laughed, tears still falling.

But these were tears of joy.

"Calm down love, I'm alright," he sat up in bed and used his real hand to wipe away the tears streaming down my face.

"Yoda, s-said you were hurt, I-I assumed the worst," I choked out.

Anakin then moved to sit on the side of the bed, pulling me by the hips to stand in between his open legs.

I placed my hands at the nape of his neck and smiled regardless of the stray tears falling down my face, happy that he was alright.

"Your metal arm feels weird," I giggled, looking down at his new limb holding my hip.

"Don't worry baby, I'll wear a glove," he replied softly.

"When do you get discharged?"

"I can leave whenever I want,"

"Then why are you still here?"

He smirked and brought his face closer to mine, "Because I knew you'd come, and I knew we'd be alone,"

He brought his lips to mine and I pulled away.

"No no no, I don't think so mister," I teased.

"Verena, darling, come on, we have this room to ourselves," he pleaded, "we have this bed to ourselves," he whispered suggestively.

"Anakin!" I slapped his chest, my face turning red at this bluntness.

"What? I planned on taking you to get married after we left anyway, so..." he trailed off.

"Sooo, you can wait," I finished, deadpanning, "get dressed, I'll be over here,"

I made my way to a chair in the corner of the room and picked up a tablet to read magazines on.

Anakin looked at me in shock and I raised a brow, daring him to challenge me.

He quickly sobered up and moved to grab his Jedi robes.

He peeled off his hospital gown, leaving him in nothing but underwear.

I blushed and focused my attention on the tablet in front of me.

"Ok darling, let's go get married," he called out to me.

I rose to stand up and joined him at the doorway.

"Oh by the way, there are clone troopers outside, they escorted me here," I explained.

"Well then they can leave, their job is done," he replied curtly.

I rolled my eyes at his juvenile response.

Anakin opened the door and I stepped out first, taking long strides to put as much distance between us as possible.

I heard him follow behind me a distance away.

Cody noticed Anakin's presence and turned to leave, knowing that his job was in fact done.

**

Anakin and I decided to go to a church almost two hours away from the main city on Coruscant.

We hoped the distance would help keep our secret hidden.

But just as a precaution, Anakin changed out of his Jedi robes and into a simple shirt to hide his true occupation.

The Priest was none the wiser and didn't seem to catch on that our holy matrimony was breaking multiple laws.

The ceremony was short and sweet and ended with a kiss to seal the deal.

We signed the proper paperwork and took the ship back into the city, parking it at the docking bay at my apartment.

The second I closed the door after sneaking Anakin in, he pounced on me.

He caged me against the mahogany, kissing me feverishly.

It was full of want and desire, Anakin clearly not caring about being soft and gentle.

The kiss made my knees buckle and I relied on Anakin to hold me steady.

He signaled me to jump and I wrapped my legs around his middle, not breaking the kiss.

He carried me to my room rather quickly, placing me on the bed and closing the blinds to ensure no one peered in on us before moving to hover over me, continuing the kiss.

We fell into a night of bliss, for once not paying mind to the potential negative repercussions.
