09:27, 22 December 2017We were escorted to the door we entered in by Taun We, our ship visible through the glass panes.
"Thank you for stopping by Master Jedi Anakin Skywalker and Senator Verena Leoet, I do hope you have enjoyed your visit." She smiled at us.
"Thank you for your hospitality Taun We, your clones are truly impressive." Anakin responded with a smile of his own and me following suit.
She simply nodded her head and turned back to the direction we came from.
"That was weird." I said as we walked through the doors.
"Tell me about it" Anakin mumbled, pulling his hood up to shield his head from the downpour.
"Wait for me in the ship, I need to take care of something." He said as he went back through the doors we just emerged from moments ago.
"Uh ok" I trailed off, still not understanding what Anakin was 'taking care of'.
I walked into the ship, its warmth enveloping me like a blanket.
Those aliens didn't understand the science of thermal heaters.
Though I was warmer than before, I was still slightly cold and my dress was dripping puddles on the white surface of the ship, so I decided the best thing for me to do was change.
I knew our next stop was Naboo and its environment was always warm and sunny so I dressed accordingly.
I dried my hair and put it in a braided up-do, including some silver accessories that matched the ones on my dress.
I didn't know how long Anakin was going to take since I didn't know the meaning behind his little side adventure, so I decided to keep myself busy.
As I was walking through the ship admiring its interior, I eventually found myself in the cockpit, where Anakin usually spends his time.
I sat back in the captain's chair, loooking out the window.
The torrential downpour hit the glass, making a loud, yet somehow soft, sound.
I was growing bored so I watched the raindrops race towards the bottom of the glass window, I would pick a drop and cheer it on as it made it's decent downwards.
I became so invested in my made up game that I didn't notice Anakin walk past the ship.
When the ship's door opened, I jumped in surprise, clearly not expecting it, as I was previously distracted.
I knew it was Anakin and I rose to my feet, ready to chastise him for leaving me all alone on an odd planet and taking so long to do whatever he was doing.
I walked out of the cockpit and ran into him, literally.
Luckily I put my hands up so my clean dress wasn't ruined by the water dripping from his robes.
"Where have you been? I've been bored and worried sick about you-"
I stopped my sentence when I saw Anakin's face.
He looked tired and beat up, he was panting and his face was pale.
My expression softened to one of distress.
"Oh goodness, what happened? Are you alright?"
Anakin looked at me and smirked, his previous distress gone.
"Wow, you really do care about me."
My worried expression left my face and was replaced with raised eyebrows and pursed lips.
I had a slight smile on my face because I did see truth in his teasing, I did really care about him.
He laughed.
"Ok I'm sorry. Yes, I'm ok and I was off dealing with Jango." He answered nonchalantly.
I raised my eyebrows in disbelief and confusion.
"You were 'dealing' with Jango Fett? The bounty hunter? Have you lost your mind?"
"Verena, I'm a skilled Jedi master, I can take on one bounty hunter, are you really that worried about me?" He smirked yet again.
I simply glared at him.
"No" I lied.
I cleared my throat.
"You should probably get changed, you've created a small lake on the floor." I suggested, attempting to evade the topic of conversation.
"Changing the subject, clever." Anakin said with a smile as he walked off to change.
When he got halfway he stopped and turned around, like he'd forgotten something.
"By the way, you look beautiful." He said sincerely, all mischief gone from his eyes.
I blushed slightly at his compliment and smiled at his back as he walked away from me.
I found myself smiling until he returned, fully dry and changed.
His robes were exactly the same, but he still looked handsome.
His long wavy hair framed his high cheekbones and brilliant eyes perfectly.
I mentally chastised myself for thinking that way, but then again, there's no harm in saying it to myself.
I can look, but I can't touch.
"Stop staring at me you weirdo." Anakin said, bringing me out of my thoughts.
I blushed again.
"I-I wasn't looking at you, I was looking at the red button." I stuttered, his statement catching me off guard.
"Smooth Leoet, smooth." He smiled, not looking up from his controls.
"Whatever, we should get out of here, the Kaminoans probably think we're lunatics because we've stayed way too long and I need to head to Naboo, I have a senate meeting in two days." I explained, trying to change the subject again and encourage Anakin to get a move on.
"Alright princess, I'm going as fast as I can." He replied as he pushed buttons and turned knobs and flipped switches.
"I'm not a princess, I'm a senator." I corrected him.
"It's a term of endearment hun." He looked at me, smiling slightly.
"Oh" my cheeks flamed red when I realized what he had actually meant.
He laughed.
"Alright, buckle in, it's about to get bumpy."
I clicked my seatbelt into its holder, not intent on flying around in the cockpit.
Anakin raised the ship slowly and once he was sure there weren't any buildings to crash into, he sped off, my body being forced against the seat.
We entered the atmosphere and then space, the millions of stars twinkling at us.
It was a beautiful sight, but unfortunately, it didn't last long.
Anakin sent the ship into hyperspeed, propelling us towards Naboo.
He unbuckled himself and stood up, turning to me.
"We won't be there for a while, we should probably sleep."
"Ok that sounds good, you have a place to sleep right?" I asked, remembering only one bed from when I took a nap only a few hours ago.
He scratched the back of his neck, "Uh yea, I think so."
"So that's a no." I responded.
"Well one of us will have to take the floor and the other one takes the bed." He stated.
"You take the bed" I answered, "I had it this afternoon, it's your turn now."
"But you're the senator."
"But you're the Jedi Master."
Anakin sighed.
"Alright fine we'll flip a coin, winner gets the bed." He declared, pulling a gold coin from within his robes.
"Call it in the air" he said as he flipped it.
"Heads" I called out.
He caught the coin and smacked it onto the back of his hand.
"Heads it is." He smiled at me.
"Alright, you're okay with the floor?" I asked him seriously.
"Obviously, I grew up on Tatooine." He laughed.
I smiled and walked to the bedroom, laying down on the bed as sleep overtook me.
