Chapter 2 : Finding supplies

it's 6:30 am in the morning and peashooter was awake. He yawned and he's still really tired, he was slowly waking up sunflower.                                                                                                                             

Pea : ''Hey sun wake up it's morning now''.

Sunflower:*yawns*''oh morning pea, why are you up so early and how the hell are we up here?'' *she starts realizing that* ''oh right'', she laughed. ''and Pea?''.

Pea: yeah, what is it?

Sunflower: ''thanks for letting me lean on you last night, it means a lot'' she smiled at him.

Pea: ''u-um.. yeah anytime'' he smiled back.

Sunflower: ''c'mon we should go down now'', then sunflower and peashooter went down from the tower, and they went to the dinning table. ''aw man! there are only a few cans of soup left'' sunflower signed in disappointment.

Dusk and nightshade: ''morning guys what's going on?''

Sunflower: ''i think we're running out of food and that's not a good thing to hear''

Pea: ''yeah, i think we need to find more out of this town'' he sighed.

Nightshade: ''sounds kind of dangerous but at least it's worth getting supplies'' he said in calm.

Dusk: ''um shade why are you so calm about this?''

Nightshade: ''dude! it's not like we're just gonna die immediately or something!''

Sunflower: ''shade there's like a thousand zombies out there''

More of the plants woke up and saw the four others on the dining table and they walked up to them

Snow pea: ''hey guys what's going on here?''

Dusk: ''oh we're running out of food and we're gonna go out of this town and get some more''

Snow pea: ''Are you sure that's fine? sounds a little risky''

Sunflower: ''Well... it's not if we stick together'' she smiled.

Snow pea: ''Alright i'm coming with you guys in case something goes wrong''

Puff: ''Can i come too?'' he asked in excitement.

Sunflower: ''Oh puff i think this journey is a bit dangerous i don't know if you could but i think staying here is the best option for you''

Puff: ''Come on sunflower please! i want to come too''

Sunflower: *sighed* ''alright fine but stay near me okay?''

Puff: ''okay!'' he smiled in excitement.

Sunflower: ''aw... puff even though you're growing up you're still adorable'' she smiled and laughed.

Snow pea: ''fire pea and violet should stay here''

Fire pea: ''alright then you're the boss''

Dusk: ''c'mon guys let's go''

Sunflower walked to dave to asked him for permission to go out and find some food and dave allowed them to go but he also told them to be very careful. The plants who are (peashooter,sunflower,puff,nightshade,snow pea and dusk) went out of town and more food, 30 minutes later they reached the woods.

Nightshade: ''So, sunflower i bet you two really had a good time last night''

Sunflower: ''uh, what do you mean?''

Nightshade: ''Oh you know, you and peashooter slept on the tower together''

Sunflower: ''WAIT, WHAT THE HELL? HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT?'' she felt nervous and blushed

Nightshade: ''Oh, i saw both of you up there and damn you both look adorable'' he whispered to her.

Sunflower blushed even more and she felt really uncomfortable. she told shade to just whisper to her so something awkward won't happen.

Nightshade: ''Um... sun are you okay?''

Sunflower: ''Do i look okay to you?!''

Nightshade: ''okay i'm sorry haha'' he laughed.

Sunflower: ''You're kind of annoying shade''

Nightshade: ''Damn! you look pissed''

Sunflower: ''i am pissed''

Nightshade: ''Let me guess, you had a crush on him do you''

Sunflower: ''i do not, i just have a feeling that he's cu-i mean cool'' she laughed.

Nightshade: ''What did you just say?''

Sunflower: ''i just said he's cool that's all''

Nightshade: ''oh really, i just heard you're about to call him cute''

Sunflower: ''no i didn't, i just had a stroke''

Dusk: ''Hey guys look! an abandoned village''

Peashooter: ''Whoa! what happened here?''

Snow pea: ''i don't know man i guess we should check it out''

Sunflower: *looks at puff*''Stay near me okay?''

puff: ''okay but this place looks kind of scary''

Dusk: ''check the houses and tell us if you find anything''

Sunflower checked the first house with puff and all they found was a few cans of soup. They also found a lighter and a first aid kit.

Sunflower: ''a lighter, we gonna need it just in case''

Puff: ''Hey sun look, i found this!'' he checked the box and he found a gun.

Sunflower: "whoa puff careful with that!", she took the gun from puff and check if it is still loaded. ''hm no ammo, looks like someone used this a very long time ago''. She walked outside with puff.

Peashooter: ''find anything good?'' he asked curiously.

Sunflower: ''Just a few cans of soup, a lighter and a first aid kit''

Peashooter: ''That's cool!, i found a few bottles of water''

Sunflower: ''i should check that house now''

Sunflower walked in an another abandoned house and she didn't expect this one coming. She saw a man sitting and dying.

Sunflower: *gasps* ''oh my god are you okay?''

The man: ''No.... please run!........hurry''

Sunflower: ''oh my god you're losing a lot blood" she saw a bite mark on the man's neck, he looked like he was bitten by a zombie, Sunflower backed off away from him.

The man: ''Just........go..........'' he passed out from feeling pain.

Puff: ''is he going to be okay?'' he asked in a worried way.

Sunflower: ''i don't know puff'' she saw man waking back up but his eyes were white and he starts making zombie noises."Puff, stay behind me!" she warned puff.

Puff: ''Okay'', the man turn into a zombie and saw both of him, he aggressively attack them

Sunflower: ''Puff run!'', puff ran away as fast as he could but the zombie grab sunflower's leg. she fell but she was lucky she didn't get bit and peashooter saw her. Peashooter grabbed a large branch.

Peashooter: ''get away from her, you bastard'', peashooter hit the zombie so hard in the head that his brains blew out'', Peashooter ran and hugged sunflower.

Sunflower: ''I'm fine pea, i'm fine it's okay'' she hugged him tightly.

Peashooter: ''Oh thank god, you scared the shit out of me!''

Puff saw sunflower was okay and he ran to hug her.

Sunflower: ''whoa, easy there little guy'' he let go of her, ''See? no bites'' she said to him. ''whoa, peashooter you just.......blew his brains out'' sunflower said to peashooter.

Peashooter:''yeah, come on let's see what's in here''

Sunflower opened a cupboard, she saw a kitchen knife and more bottles of water.

Peashooter: ''looks like you might really needed that knife as weapon''

Sunflower:''Yeah, it's better than staying unarmed and also how are so good with swinging that branch?''

Peashooter:*he looked sad and sighed*''i used to really like playing baseball with my dad, we would play baseball together every sunday, i still remember he was teaching me how to use the bat, i would play with snow pea, fire pea and ........''*he looked even more sad*.

Sunflower: ''And who?''

Peashooter: ''Repeater, i know you don't know who he was but he is the older brother i can never forget''.

Sunflower: ''what happened to him?''.

Peashooter: ''we were chased by our bullies, we ran to the woods so we can lost them, we had nowhere to run, we were lost and they found us. He told us to leave him and go home, me, snow pea and fire pea left him because we think he would be okay and he's really good at distractions. When we ran in the woods to go back home i heard a gunshot, That was the time i lost all my hope, those assholes took my brother's life away".

Sunflower:"I'm......I'm so sorry pea, he did his best to save you''*she looked sad*

Peashooter:''yeah, i thought everything would get better and that's when i met you, you always made me happy and i don't know where would i be if i never met you, everything was so much better back then and now we're in this f**ked up world''.

Sunflower:''i understand''

Dusk:''guys come on i think we're done searching''

Sunflower:''okay we're coming''

Nightshade: ''so what did you find?''

Sunflower: ''Just soup and tools''

Dusk: ''I don't know if all of this would be enough''

Snow pea:''i don't think it's enough for all of us, we're really need more food but there isn't anymore left in this village, looks like we're gonna have to slaughter some animals''

Puff: ''Look there are two deers over there''

Snow pea: ''Nice find little guy!, come on we don't want to starve by now''

Sunflower: ''So what are we gonna do?''

Snow pea: ''i think we should ambush them, shooting them might let some of the animals escape''

Sunflower:''alright i'll try not to get spotted'',she hides behind a tree and pea came with her.

Peashooter:''Do you still have that knife?''

Sunflower:"Yeah but just to let you know this is gonna get messy''

Dusk and nightshade when for the other side. Sunflower attacked the deer first and used the stab it in the head, some deers and rabbits tried to run away but dusk and nightshade got them, a few animals ran away. Puff jumped and caught the rabbit that was the last one to run away.

Sunflower:''Wow nice catch kiddo!'' she was really proud of puff, ''Dammit,now i got blood all over my hands''

Peashooter:''don't worry you'll wash it off''

Puff:*looks at the rabbit*''it's only a baby''

Peashooter:''you know puff if you think it needs to grow up first, you can let it go''

Sunflower:''yeah, puff you can let it go''*sees puff feels sad and sun tries to cheer him up*''come on puff cheer up at least that was a good catch and the animals we slaughtered would be enough for us for a whole month''

Snow pea: ''come on guys we should go home now''

All the plants left the village and went back home, *1 hour later*

Sunflower: ''Hey um pea? do you feel weird when we're caring these dead animals?''

Peashooter:''No, why?''

Sunflower: ''i kind of felt bad for them but i know we had to survive''

Peashooter: ''Yeah i know''

Sunflower: ''Do you think can eat the deer raw?''

Peashooter:''what? no i'll get sick for tha-''

*Everyone hears a very loud gunshot*

Sunflower:''WHAT WAS THAT?''

They saw an armed man with guns and snow pea told everyone to stay cover, The amount noise the man made caught the zombies attention. Peashooter saw the zombies running towards the armed man. The zombies got him and ate him then the zombies saw the plants.

Peashooter:''RUN!!!!!!!'' everyone ran away from the zombies because there are so many of them.

Dusk:''WHAT, THEY CAN RUN?''

Sunflower:''We'll talk about it later or you're gonna be zombie food''

Nightshade:''alright sun i guess you were right after all there are like thousands of them''

The plants ran as fast as they can from the zombies.

Peashooter:''Look we're almost there i see fire pea and violet''

Fire pea:''COME ON GUYS HURRY! Damn that's a lot of zombies''

Violet:''I'm gonna agree with you that's a lot of them''

Puff:''sun, i'm so tired''

Sunflower:''pea carry puff with you Go,i'll be right behind you!''

Fire pea slowly closing the gate door,

Fire pea:''SORRY GUYS CAN'T RISK IT!, YOU HAVE TO HURRY!''

Dusk, snow pea, nightshade, peashooter and puff made it in.

Fire pea:''SUNFLOWER HURRY!''

The gate door was about to close but she managed to slide down the door to get inside.

Peashooter:''Jesus! i'm so glad of you think of that''

Fire pea:''Nice job there sun, that was too close''

*everyone hearing the zombies banging on the gate door*

Dusk:''Great!, when are they going to leave''

Nightshade:''I Don't know''

Dusk:''Well luckily we have a big bag full of dead animals''

Fire pea:''Nice!, everyone wait at the dining table, dinner's coming right up''

Sunflower:''Hey pea''

Peashooter:''yeah what is it?''

Sunflower:''You saw that armed man right?''

Peashooter:''Yeah what's up about that''

Sunflower:''what if his group comes back and finds us?''

Peashooter:''Why wo-, wait no maybe you're right''

Dusk:''Hey guys what's up and why do you both looked so worried is there something wrong?''

Sunflower:''Dusk, i need to talk to everyone right now''*a few minutes later*

Everyone:''So sunflower what's up?''

Sunflower:''Alright you saw that armed man didn't you?''

Snow pea:''Yeah what's up about that?''

Sunflower:''i think his group would come and find us and what if they are many soliders on their group''

*everyone agreed with sunflower*

Snow pea:''Look sun i know you're worried about this but you know everything is going to be okay, Come on sun calm down take a few deep breaths''

Sunflower:*takes a few deep breaths*''Ok i believe you''

Snow pea:''Come on guys, let's go and have dinner it's getting dark''
