The Uncertainty

Lucy stared at her phone for what felt like an eternity. Tim's message lingered on the screen, his words heavy and full of uncertainty. She hadn't expected him to have all the answers immediately, but the wait still gnawed at her.She set the phone down beside her on the couch and ran her hands over her face. This was all too much. She had thought that finally telling Tim about Charlotte would bring some clarity, some sense of relief. But instead, she felt more lost than ever.What did Tim need time for?
