Ch.18

CAMILA'S POV

The sun poured in through Lauren's window waking me up. I instantly noticed the empty space next to me? I shot up quickly as a smell filled my nose. My eyes widened and I ran down stairs. Just like I expected. Pancakes.

I jumped on Lauren's back as soon as I saw her. "Woah there, Camz" she said as she turned around. I stared into her eyes and she smiled cutely. I stole a pancake from behind her and tried to hold back my laughter.

I gave her a smirk and she eyed me suspiciously. "What's up with you?" She asked as she quirked an eyebrow. "I slowly brought the pancake to my mouth and bit it"

"I was going to put sprinkles on our 'good luck' pancakes, but now you don't get any" She said as she shook her head. " Why do we need good luck?" She looked at me in disbelief. "The auditions are today!"

LAUREN'S POV

"I can't believe you forgot" I said as she stood there motionless with her mouth open. "So what song are you singing?" I asked her in an attempt to get her to say something. "It's a surprise" she said as she winked. "I'm gonna go get ready she said as she pecked my lips.

I cursed myself out for falling so hard for her. Don't get me wrong, I love her to death, but it's scary how she has so much control over my emotions.

* *fast forward to when they get to school**

We walked in to school with our hands slightly brushing each other. We weren't out yet so we couldn't hold hands. I felt Camila's hand shake in mine and I felt the urge to hug her tightly and let her know everything would be okay.

Today's choir class was moved to the auditorium for the auditions and I have to admit I was a little nervous. "Camila Cabello" I heard the teacher call. She leaned over to me and whispered "This one's for you, babe" she said before she walked onto the stage.

CAMILA'S POV

Of course I hadn't forgotten the auditions were today, I just didn't want Lauren to suspect anything.

I had worked on this song for a while and I figured I would sing it for my audition. I walked up to the microphone nervously and cleared my throat. I pictured Lauren in my mind and smiled as I started to sing

I looked at Lauren as I finished singing and I saw her checks were a deep shade of red.

LAUREN'S POV

By the time Camila's song was over I was smiling like an idiot and my cheeks felt hot. She cutely ran off the stage and walked over to me.

"Like?" She said. "No. Love"

She smiled and we watched the next audition. Cece. I fidgeted nervously and Camila put her hand on my thigh to reassure me. I have to admit she was really good.

I'm surprised only 8 girls auditioned, including me. When Cece's song was over my name was called.

I winked at Camila to show her my song was for her too, and then walked on the stage. I felt at home. I confidently took the mic of its stand

and began to sing.

I smiled widely as I finished. I was proud of my performance, I think I did good. "I will let you know who made the group tomorrow, have a nice day" Mr.C said.

AND HOLY SHIT, I HAVE 10.6K READS!!! I'm sorry I took SO LONG to update. And I'm not sure who wrote the song Lauren sang, it was in my iPod's notes for some reason. I know this is kinda stupid, but I forgot what my own fanfic was about since I hadn't updated in so long...so I had to re-read it.
