Chapter 7

CHAPTER 7 -CHRIS' POV (Lauren's brother)

I watched as a pretty girl walked into the hospital. She had brown wavy hair up to her waist and big brown eyes. I've never seen her around the neighborhood. "I'll go talk to her later" I told myself. I was staring at her when I heard my mom say "Go ask your sister if she wants something to eat from the cafeteria" I stood up lazily still thinking about the girl and made my way to Lauren's room. Maybe I'll see her on my way to Lauren's room. I feel really bad that my sister got hit by a car, I hope she gets better soon. I looked at the numbers as i walked by the rooms 1430, 1431, and 1432-Lauren's room. I opened the door and saw Lauren...kissing someone? A girl?!? Didn't she have a boyfriend three weeks ago? I stood there with a shocked expression on my face. I looked at the girl Lauren was kissing and realized it was the girl I had seen downstairs. "I guess I have no chance with her" I joked to myself. I was about to walk out when Lauren looked at me. I saw the other girl whisper something to Lauren. "Uhm..." I started "m-mom wanted to know i-if you wanted something from the cafeteria" I said looking at her weirdly. They both looked at me with a mix of fright and anger. "Please don't tell anyone" the girl blurted out. "And you are?" I asked her. "This is Camila" Lauren answered for her. "go tell mom I'm not hungry right now." She said. I started walking out the door when Lauren asked, "How much did you see?" She asked. "I saw you two kissing" I said a little embarrassed. "Please don't tell them...we'll talk later." "ok" I said and walked out the door. I wasn't gonna tell them anyways. I mean, how do you tell your parents you saw your sister kissing a girl?

LAUREN'S POV

"CRAP" I muttered under my breath. "Who is that?" Camila whispered to me, and I could hear the nervousness in her voice. "It's my brother" I said quietly. Chris asked something else but I was too busy freaking out to pay attention. "How much did you see?" I asked him. "I saw you two kissing." He said. I looked at Camila and she looked like she wanted to dig a hole and hide in it. "Please don't tell them...we'll talk later" I said quietly. "Ok" he said and walked out. "Camila it's ok, he won't tell anyone" I told her after Chris left. She looked really worried but fortunately decided to change the topic. "So what happened to you?" She asked. "When I was walking back from your house a car hit me and broke my leg." I said pointing at the red cast. "That sucks" she said looking at the cast with a sparkle in her eyes. I wonder what she's thinking. "You know that cast would look a lot better if I signed it' she said with a smile. She ran to her backpack which was on the chair by the door and took out a silver, metallic sharpie. "Hope your leg feels better soon Lolo -Love,Camz ;)" I looked at the neat writing and smiled. She looked at her watch and said, "gotta go, I'll text you later" When she left I texted my friends Alexa and Lucy and told them what had happened. Lucy felt really bad that she couldn't come to see me because she had gone on vacation to Miami. A while later my parents, Chris, and Taylor walked in. "Hey!! I wanted to sign it first!" Taylor said pointing at what Camila had written on my cast. My dad walked over and asked "who's Camz?" "A friend from school" I said looking at Chris and hoping he wouldn't say anything. "It's really nice of her to come and see you" said my mom smiling, "why don't you invite her for dinner some time?" "I will" I told my mom.
