war 2.0
Near the large demon ship Tuk and Tsireya were in the ocean, trying to get far away from it as possible but stopped in their tracks as they spotted Kiri being pulled out of the ocean by an ikran. It brought her back to the ship's deck and dropped her on the ground roughly
She tried to run away but she had hurt her ankle while she fell to the ground and the ikran held her back with its claw, grabbing her shoulders. She tried fighting back while she yelled, but she did not succeeded and watched when the avatar jumped off the ikran and walked closer to her.
„Let's go, buttercup, get up." He grabbed her arms and dragged her up.
„I'm not your buttercup, you perv." She tried to fight against his grasp but it was no use as he dragged her inside the ship and tied her to a yellow rail tightly. Kiri hissed and locked back to the avatar, who checked his gun smirking and then disappeared from her vision, somewhere outside to continue with another task.
In the meantime Tsireya emerged from the water at edge of the ship and peered inside if soldiers were running around the area. Tuk appeared beside her and climbed on to the ship without looking out for danger. Tsireya protested quietly but Tuk ignored her as she continued crawling inside, carefully.
Tsireya followed the girl and they made their way, making sure they stayed low to the ground, to where Kiri was attached to the railing. They successfully got past soldiers and Avatars when they met Kiri's gaze.
„Kiri!" Tuk whisper yelled to her older sister and quickly ran to her with Tsireya behind her.
"Tuk! What are you doing here!?" Kiri asked concerned while looking up at them. Tuk shouldn't be here, she thought. Tsireya jumps over the yellow railing and faced both girls.
„I need to save you, Kiri! Sullys stick together, remember?" Tuk only answered and began to grab the shackles, but they wouldn't move a single centimeter, even with the help of the other two. As the girls were distracted they didn't notice Quaritch approaching them in a fast, angry pace. So before the girls could do anything else he grabbed Tuk while shoving Tsireya down into the water. She fell down with a yelp and she knew she couldn't do anything on her own to save them, so she called an ilu and went to go get some help.
Tuk tried to wiggle herself out of Quaritch's grasp while Kiri protested with throwing threats to Quaritch and the other avatar who now held onto Tuk too. He took Tuk and restrained her beside Kiri at the yellow rail. „I got her."
Quaritch nods his head slowly and looked at his team. „We can still get this done." he watched as they got out again.
„I can't believe im tied up again." Tuk whines and Kiri rolled her eyes in response.
Back in the ship Lo'ak and Neteyam were holding onto the beams above the soldiers crawling slowly and carefully upside down and passed them silently. Their ears perked up when they heard a group of sky people underneath them and an annoyed voice, which obviously belonged to Spider as he threw comments here and there at the soldiers executing him to somewhere.
Neteyam grabbed his knife and locked eyes with his brother, who held the gun firmly in his hand. The older brother nodded as he prepared himself to jump down and attack. Lo'ak answered with a nod.
But before they could make a move, someone else jumped down first from a higher place than them. They only saw a flash of teal skin and long black hair as they watched the scene unfold below them. They were frozen as they recognized their mate attacking the sky people.
Leyra who had spotted the brothers from her hiding place didn't knew how to make them notice of her presence without blowing all of their covers and she thought they were moving to slow and wasting time, so she took the matter in her own hands and made the first move to rescue Spider.
She hit the ground with a commando roll and took down the first soldier as she moved her leg behind his feet in her crouching position, causing him to fell down onto his back. Then she stood up, elbowing one of them into his stomach as he moved towards her and grabbed his face , smashing him into the wall.
One hand moved down to her thigh, grabbing on of the knives left and threw them at the one soldier who was holding Spider. This leads to Spider being free and beginning to throw punches himself.
„A little help would be good!" Leyra shouted to the brothers still on the beams while continuing throwing punches at the soldiers. Neteyam hit Lo'ak on his chest so he would come out of his state of shock and they together jumped down to participate in the fight.
Neteyam kicked one of them into the ocean and so did Leyra while Spider mainly took of the masks of the soldiers, making them suffocated because of the oxygen loss. They didn't notice that one of the hurt soldiers aimed his gun towards the three of them and was ready to shoot before Lo'ak saw it and shoot the human with his own gun multiple times.
Lo'ak looked at the corpse wide eyed as he needed to comprehend that he took the life of someone with a gun. At this point all of the soldiers were either dead or knocked out. The three looked at Lo'ak as the bullets flying got their attention. Leyra heart was pounding as she noticed Lo'ak's disturbed face and quickly put her hand on his shoulder.
„Guys, come on!" Spider shouted at the three other who were staring at the mess of soldiers on the ground. Neteyam grabbed the hand of Leyra and Lo'ak and dragged them to Spider. „Let's go." The only made a few steps before spider notices an avatar aiming his gun at them from a distance.
„Avatar with a gun!" he informed them shouting and started to run. The other followed him quickly, looking for a place to hide. „Go! Go! Go!"
They hid behind a wall and Leyra slowly looked around the corner. When another set of bullets were flying towards them she quickly hid behind the corner again, back pressing against the wall. „I can't get him with the knife! The distance is too much."
Neteyam looked to Lo'ak, who still had the gun in his hand and stretched his hand out. „Gimme that!" he shouted hurriedly and grabbed the gun and positioned him right behind the corner with Leyra next to him and the other two next to her. He checked the ammo.
„When I start shooting and the bullets stop coming from them, run and jump!" Neteyam ordered and looked at the others expectantly as they nodded.
„Wait! We go in pairs!" Leyra said and looked at Spider and Lo'ak. „You two go first."
Neteyam wanted to protest but held his mouth close when Leyra looked at him with a stern expression.
„Okay." They all agreed and got in position. Neteyam glanced at the two boys a last time before aiming the gun at the avatar behind the corner and started shooting. „Go! Go!" He shouted together with Leyra.
Spider and Lo'ak waited a second and when the avatar stopped shooting his bullets they started running to the edge and quickly jumped into the water, leaving Neteyam and Leyra on their own.
Leyra knew that the gun they were using will be soon empty so she ran across the room, but unfortunately the avatar started shooting again and hit her in the leg. With the force of the bullet she fell to the ground but crawled behind another wall, across from Neteyam. She hissed under her breath and propped herself up against the wall, extending her leg with the wound before her.
„Shit!" Neteyam shouted when he saw her and stopped shooting, hiding behind the wall but facing her across the room.
„It's fine!" she yelled back before Neteyam made a stupid move towards her. She tore her loincloth apart and tied a piece of the fabric around the wound while biting onto her lip to stop herself from screaming.
She took the gun from the dead soldier laying beside her and slowly stood up while stabilizing herself on the wall. „We're gonna shoot together and then run, alright?" She asked and made eye contact with Neteyam who looked at her bleeding leg worried.
„Alright." He nodded and aimed his gun towards the space where the avatar is.
„Ready?" Leyra aimed the gun towards the same direction. „3, 2, 1." And they both started shooting while the avatar went into hiding and stopped shooting at then. That was their cue to start running so Neteyam made his way first to the water as his gun was empty faster. Leyra followed him while continuing shooting, so she was slightly in front of him.
Lyle of course heard that now only one gun was used again so he grabbed his gun quickly and started shooting in their direction. Leyra was face to face with Lyle as they shoot against each other from a distance. Lyles eyes widened a little when he checked that he was shooting at her, as he was given clear instructions from his boss not to hurt his daughter. Leyra cursed under her breath and threw her gun away when it was empty and turned around.
She jumped directly after Neteyam down into the water. As soon as she touched the water, it felt like her whole body emerged into flames. Like it was burning. Like thousands of needles pricking her skin. And then her body felt numb. She heard ringing in her ears and she felt the water coming into her eyes as she tried to stay above the surface.
„What took you so long?" She heard Lo'ak's voice faintly, like a whisper.
She felt her eyes closing and rolling back, but she tried to stay conscious but it barely worked.
„I'm shot." she heard a voice like a whisper again. Neteyam.
And her eyes snapped open again and she saw him across from her, holding his chest while Lo'ak, Spider and Tsireya swam towards him. Blood pouring out of his wound leaked into the water and turned it slightly pink around him.
„Get on! Quickly." Tsireya shouted and the two unharmed boys grabbed Neteyam and shoved him onto the ilu.
„But your leg!" Neteyam quickly shouted and looked concerned to Leyra. Lo'ak turned to her as well. „What? What happened to your leg?"
„I'm fine." Leyra choked out and tried to hide the pain in her voice. „Go." She breathed and looked at the Na'vi around her.
„Alright." The four of them hold onto the ilu as it swam away with them.
Leyra let out a shaky breath when she was alone. She couldn't properly breath in. Looking down her body she saw blood pouring at a fast pace out of her chest and the water around her turned red. She felt her consciousness fading slowly while she tried staying above the surface. She caught a glimpse of Jake swimming past her on his skimwing.
„Jake!" She shouted, but she didn't know if he heard her as her voice was nothing but a weak whisper.
Then everything went black.
