seizure
As she arrived she saw the disturbed mood of the Tsahik because of the arrival of the human people and her pregnancy didn't made it easier to hold down her emotions. Leyra stood at the entrance while she looked at the Tsahik who was sitting in the middle of the pod.
"Tsahik, I need to talk to you." Leyra firmly said as she slightly bows her head in respect and continued looking at Ronal.
"What is it? Did the demons do something?" She asked harshly while she looked at the young Na'vi before her. Her hand rested on her bloated belly.
"No." She slowly answered. "I have a question about something." Ronal's curiosity grew at the statement.
"Go on." Ronal said while moving her sitting position slightly to make room for Leyra. The girl sat across from the Tsahik and looked at her hands. Ronal could sense that her question was serious and occupied her thoughts. Her emotionless expression softened a little bit. Even if the Tsahik didn't show her emotions often, Leyra was the daughter of her best friend, that passed away years ago and she raised the girl. She cared for her.
"You're Tsahik. Have you ever heard that Eywa has shown the future to someone?" Leyra asked carefully, not wanting to anger Ronal any further because of her stupid question.
Ronal's perplexed expression made Leyra regret asking the question that was on her mind since they arrived in the village hours ago after Kiri's accident.
"Well, through Eywa we can see memories and communicate with our ancestors and hear them. Eywa is the connection of all life on Pandora." Ronal started as she thought about it. "But Eywa doesn't usually reveal the future to someone."
Leyra sighed at her words. "It was definitely not a memory or someone who has passed, yet." She whispered as she looked helpless at the Tsahik.
"What did you saw?" Ronal asked her and took Leyras hand. She was trying to feel Eywa's thoughts through her. Leyra's face changed into a sad and scared one at the question.
"War." She mumbled. "And death."
Ronal looked bewildered and felt the sadness radiating from the girl as she looked on the verge of tears.
"A death from a beloved person." She mumbled, a tear sliding from her eye. Ronal's heart ached at her look and thought about how she would feel if she knew that her mate would die in near time. Ronal hugged the girl for the first time in years and Leyra felt the motherly way of her hugging. Leyra silently cried into her shoulder a she gently wrapped her arms around her torso.
"What if Eywa showed you the future for a reason?" Ronal said. "Maybe you have to safe the person so nothing worse would happen."
"How can I save him, when there will be war?" Leyra asked hopeless.
"I can't give you the answer. You have to find the way yourself." Ronal responded as she stroked over Leyras head.
Tonowari bursted into the Marui and was caught off guard at the sight of his mate and Leyra hugging. He gave them a confused look as they broke their hug.
"The scientist are no help. I heard it when I was ears dropping." Tonowari confessed. "My beloved mate, would you help Kiri?" He asked her as she approached them and kneeled beside Ronal giving her a kiss on the cheek. He noticed the tear strains on Leyra's cheeks but didn't dare to ask, but Leyra knew she could talk with Tonowari about anything and he would wait patiently for her to open up to him.
"Of course I help." Ronal answered back. "You should intensify the training for our warriors."
"Why?" he asked confused.
"War is coming." Ronal looked at him sternly while Leyra looked a little bit uncomfortable.
"War? How would you know? We don't have rivals with other clans." Tonowari said confused as he looked between his mate and Leyra.
"Eywa showed Leyra the future." Ronal responded while looking at Leyra.
"But Eywa didn't revealed the future in centuries." Tonowari replied shocked.
"As I said, Leyra has a deeper connection with Eywa than any of us, so she is definitely going to be the next Tsahik." Ronal said sternly.
"But I don't want to ma-" Leyra started to protest but was cut off by Ronal.
"It is decided. You don't need to mate with our son." Ronal explained and Tonowari nodded in agreement. Leyra let out a relieving breath as she looked at them grateful.
"We continue with your Tsahik training tomorrow."
"And be early at our warrior training place. We have to start training harder, if war is coming." Tonowari ordered and Leyra nodded while Ronal stood up and wandered around the pod.
Ronal gathered some things for the ritual she was about to do, to help Kiri. "Leyra, you're coming with me. I need your help." Soon they both made their way to the Marui of the Sully's.
Kiri was still unconscious, laying on the floor as the scientists started to analyze her body with the advanced technologies they have brought with them. The machines were connected to her through wires while Norm examined her brain on a smaller machine in his hands.
"There is no bleed, no fracture in her brain." Norm, a human in an Avatar body explained to the parents of Kiri. Jake was squatting down beside his daughter as he looked at the machine were Norm pointed down on Kiri's brain. Neytiri was pacing around the hut full of worry while the siblings weren't allowed inside so they all waited before the Marui as the humans worked on a solution to what happened to Kiri.
"No signs of Hypoxia. The brain looks good." Max, a human scientist, added to their analysis and handed the photo of Kiri's brain back to Norm.
The waiting young Na'vi saw Ronal and Leyra approaching the Marui while Leyra was carrying the more heavy stuff they needed for the ritual. Ronal had a basket in her hands as they walked to the entrance. Neteyam was standing at the entrance and got in Leyras way before she could walk in after Ronal. He opened his mouth to say something to her but she interrupted him.
"Move." She harshly said, not daring to look into his eyes as she couldn't get over what Eywa had shown her. The only thing that mattered to Leyra was saving Kiri. Neteyam's face frowned at her tone and he moved to the side. Did he do something that pissed her off?
Neytiri noticed the arrival of the two Na'vi and stopped in front of them to greet them. Ronal watches the Avatar and human working on the girl and disgust was written in her face but Leyra looked rather interested at the technologies they used.
"I see that we are not needed here." Ronal said and turned around to leave again but Neytiri grabbed her arm. "You are Tsahik." She hissed slightly and looked at her hopefully. Ronal glanced back to the scientist. "Remove these things."
Neytiri turned to the humans, "Out! You have done nothing!" She yelled angrily and the scientist collected their stuff with Jakes help. After that he led them out of the Marui while Ronal and Leyra kneeled beside the unconscious girl. The two brothers looked from the entrance to them and watched as they started the ritual. Tuk clenched to the leg of her mother and also watched them with teary eyes.
The Metkayina women performed a healing ritual. Ronal was chanting words in the Na'vi language while Leyra was poking Kiri's stomach with a thin needle where a special liquid was at the tip.
"Kiri mentioned something that she could feel Eywa, feel and hear her heartbeat." Jake said to his Avatar friend outside the Marui.
"That's classical frontal lobe epilepsy." Norm explained to him.
"Epilepsy?" Jake repeated shocked with widened eyes. Maybe it was a bad idea to bring her to a new environment when it was already different and difficult for her in the forest.
"You see visions and experiences religious ecstasy like the one she described." Norm clarified. "Plugging into the Spirit Tree is some sort of a trigger. You definitely can't let her do that anymore."
"What? Ever?"
"Jake, if she seizes underwater again, it could kill her." Max said as he listened to their conversation.
Back inside the Marui, Ronal and Leyra still worked on healing Kiri as they inhaled the bad energy from her body and exhaled it back into the air. Soon Kiri's eyes slowly moved under her eyelids and everyone stopped in their tracks as they waited for Kiri to awake.
"Kiri, you're awake." Tuk sighed as Kiri opened her eyes and they landed on her younger sister. Ronal sighed in relief as she sat back in exhaustion while Leyra steadied the pregnant woman with her hands on her back.
Kiri burst into tears as she saw her whole family gathered around her. Neytiri took her hand while trying to comfort her child. "Kiri, my sweet child. My sweet little girl." Neytiri whispered as she cried with her daughter. Ronal and Leyra made their way out of the Marui to give the family some privacy.

Later in the evening Kiri approached Leyra who was laying in the sand, staring up to the sky and thinking about the two boys she really liked. Kiri sat down beside Leyra into the sand.
"They finally left me alone." Kiri sighed. Her family didn't left her side since she woke up and it got on her nerves.
"We thought you died." Leyra whispered a she remembered Kiri's lifeless body in Neteyam's arms. "We all were so worried and nothing the scientist did helped."
"I wanted to thank you, Leyra. You and the Tsahik saved my life." Kiri responded as she pulled Leyra into a tight hug.
"I would save any of you." Leyra mumbled in the crook of her neck and looked at her when they finished hugging each other.
"Norm, the Avatar, said that it was a seizure and that I never could connect to the tree of souls again." Kiri explained sadly as she laid down in the sand next to Leyra and looked to the brightest star in the sky while she thought of her mother Grace.
"Oh Kiri." Leyra exclaimed sadly. It is one of the worst things to not be able to connect to Eywa and she couldn't imagine how Kiri felt right now.
"I saw my mother when I was connected to Eywa." Kiri started saying. Leyra didn't knew much about Kiri's mother, only that Grace was human and practically died while she got pregnant with Kiri. She thought back to what she saw and, unlike Leyra, she could talk with her mother while being connected to the Spirit Tree.
❋
Kiri found herself in the lab of the human station as she approached a woman who was sitting at a desk and researched something. She realized it was her mother when the woman, with red hair, turned around.
"My beautiful daughter." Grace said at the sight of her Na'vi daughter while she stood up.
"Hi Mom." Kiri greeted her and walked into the open arms of her mother and she closed her eyes while hugging her thightly.
When she opened her eyes again they were in the forest in the Home tree.
"What is it baby?" Grace, now in her Avatar body, questioned at the troubled look on Kiri's face.
"Why am I different? What does the great mother want from me? Who was my father?" Kiri asked what she wanted to ask her whole life. Grace was silent as she couldn't give her daughter an answer.
"Oh, my god." Grace choked out before she vanished in front of Kiri.
❋
"But what is it with you and Neteyam?" Kiri asked the girl beside her.
"What do you mean, Neteyam and I?" Leyra asked nervously and looked over to Kiri.
"He mentioned something about you not talking with him since we were at the tree of souls."
"Oh-" Leyra mumbled. "Well, Eywa showed me something and I got confused and scared because I-"
"Love him?" Kiri interrupted with a questioning tone in her voice. She noticed how her brothers looked at the girl and their childish behavior got replaced. They were more mature than when they arrived here.
Leyra fumbled with the sand under her fingertips and blushes lightly. „Love is a strong word." She mumbled while dodging Kiri's yellow eyes.
„But I care for him deeply. And for Lo'ak."
„I know. I can see it." Kiri smiled and put her hand on her shoulder. „And my brothers like you so much too."
Leyra smiled while thinking of the two brothers.
"But I can't talk about what Eywa showed me. I'm afraid when I talk about it, it will come true or change the future to a worse one." Leyra said while looking at Kiri, who nodded understanding.
"Whatever it is that you saw, Eywa did it for a reason. I just know it." Kiri responded and squeezed her hand reassuringly.
