(Another red head collected? HAHAHAHHA Anyways, this song is "Hero" by Cash Cash ft. Christina Perri! Recognize it? I figured. Now go read this chapter ( ˘ ³˘)♥︎

Akali's POV

~You think I'm lost falling apart,

But your lies just made a stronger heart! My life, is just about to start~

~Now I don't need your wings to fly........No, I don't need a hand to hold in mine this time~

My singing must've caused Sasori to wake up because there's just been a series of doors that were being unlocked in the mansion.

I sighed and followed his footsteps quietly. He must've been in a state of shock since I just melted the ice that I put over him since yesterday. He passed out after that, but I don't really know what his body could do. So I just let him run around.

It seems like he ran in a circle as we met on the living room as he was running away. Or was he?

"You......why didn't you kill me?"

I didn't answer. I threw him the shirt I was carrying since he's still showing his body and I sat on one of the chairs, gesturing him to do the same.

"I have a lot to disclose to you. So you might want to sit."

I said with a sigh. He's alert alright. I expected no less from an Akatsuki member. But his extreme persistence is just annoying the hell out of me and we're just wasting time since his physically incapable of escaping this place.

"I asked you a question. Why didn't you kill me?"

"Because I need you. I need all of the Akatsuki alive to stop.....something that all cannot. I'm going to need the strongest humans for it."

Sasori looked at me with confusion.

"So you're saying all of the Akatsuki will die?"

"Yes. And only those who used you will remain to terrorize this world."

"How do you know that? Do you know the future?"

"Yes."

"How can I prove that?"

"You being alive right now is the proof. If I hadn't saved you, your death will be by the hands of the puppets you call your parents."

I said and tossed a ball of ice on the ground. I then put another piece of ice on my temples and showed him my memory of watching him die. His eyes widened, but then his face never showed emotion. His body is a puppet after all.

He then chuckled, those chuckles then turned into sarcastic ones.....filled with his suffering. Well, I didn't know how to describe it.

"I should've just died huh?"

"I respect that if that's your decision. It's hard existing after all."

I offered him a cup of tea which he just stared at. I drank mine and set it down with a soft clack.

"You have regrets........I can tell. I died once too, so I kinda feel what you feel."

"Died once huh? Sure."

He scoffed and drank the tea in one swig. I frowned.

"If I told you everything I knew, you would have existential crisis. But then again, I only need to tell you what your purpose is, right?"

"Yes now spit it out. I hate waiting."

"But first I must ask.......are you capable of tears?"

I genuinely asked. There's still a part of him that's human. His heart. And the only way that I can get him to join me is if I can convince him with a good talk.

"Oh Naruto bless me with your talk no jutsu powers."

"If I say yes, will you finally tell me?"

".......I don't know. I'm just here because I'm playing part time psychologist, that's all."

Sasori's eyes narrowed in anger.

"I don't need that bullshit—"

"You do. You really do."

I said, cutting him off.

"Would you listen to me if I told you that I also know your past?"

His eyebrows furrowed. He must be so suspicious of me now but I can't afford to make is rep of me lower. So I just did what my guts told me to do and,

"I know what it's like to lose parents at a young age. Almost all of us do."

"What are you getting at?"

"I want you to tell me how you feel. I want you to let it out so after I use you, you can die peacefully. That's what you wanted, is it not?"

He laughed at my seriousness and I just looked at him. I don't know what's running inside his head. I may never know, but I'm going to try."

"Ha.........and what if I say that I  want to live? Will you stop this?"

"Well.......as long as you're alive, you won't tell anyone what you feel, yes?"

His face looked down at my statement.

"With telling me this, at least you already shared your regrets to someone before dying."

He combed his red hair with his hand. He's contemplating. This is good.

"Wow, you don't feel bad about manipulating him huh?"

"What do you want me to do......cry? Would that solve anything?"

"No. But sometimes, it's what you need. You haven't cried much since you were a child and—"

I was stopped by the sound of tears dropping onto the glass table that we share. I frowned and stood up, sitting next to him and patting his shoulder.

"Want a hug?"

He looked at me through teary eyes. He looked unsure, and I know he still has walls around him so as a precaution, I held out my hand. Cautiously he took it, and right then and there, it looked as if I was hugging the younger version of him.

The one that's been crying at night, missing his mother and father's hugs and kisses.

When I snapped back to reality, I was hugging Sasori.....but—

Third Person's POV

Akali limply looked at her hand. It was splattered in blood and so she was curious onto what was bleeding. It was her stomach. Sasori's poisoned blades was stabbing her deep in her stomach even when Sasori's arms was still wrapped around her waist.

"Heh. You're so gullible—"

Sasori smirked as he looked at Akali's face, tears dried against the wooden grain of his face.

But what he didn't expect was Akali's expression. Her eyes wasn't containing any emotion rather than the smile on her face and the blood dripping at the side of her chin.

She slowly raised her bloodied hand and caressed his face, his shocked expression genuinely making her smile.

"I-I.......under...stand. I trust you...Sasori."

Akali smiled her brightest as she slowly lost consciousness due to the buckets of blood she was literally spilling.

"Shit! Why are you like this....."

Sasori ran to a bedroom and slowly removed his knives and made it receed back inside his body. He quickly started healing her and patting his body of any vile of antidote he has. When he found one, he quickly injected it onto her skin and lifted her shirt a little, bandaging the wounds he caused and healing it from time to time.

Once he deemed it alright, he stopped healing her and sat beside her bed, slight exhaustion occupying his system.

He finished changing her and injecting all the antidotes she needs. All he needs to do now was to wait for her to wake up. And so he waited, thinking about the bullshitery that he just did.

"You were supposed to be angry. You were supposed to feel betrayed. Why didn't you hit me?"

He questioned the unconscious Akali as he stared at her face. He sighed.

"Why do I feel like I'm the bratty one even if I'm literally older than you."

He asked as he closed his eyes shut and sighed.

"You're weird. You tell people to cry because you know what they've been through. You manipulated me and I willingly fell for it..............hah...fine. I'll do what you want. Just wake up. I feel so bad."

.                       .                     .

Akali's POV

An angry Arima screeching was the first thing that I woke up. I tried to get up but  my side immediately hurt. Agh right, Sasori stabbed me. Was it yesterday already?

I hummed a tune quickly to subside the pain and I slowly got back up, noticing the red head sleeping with only his head  and his arms on the edge of my bed. I raised one eyebrow. I guess he was emotionally tired that he slept even if he didn't have to. He is somewhat a puppet.

I carefully carried him on the bed, because I don't want to be stabbed again and walked outside, fishing rabbit meat out of my inventory and feeding it to the angry Arima.

"Just one me day Arima. We'll be able to go back."

I said and kissed her nose. She nodded and nuzzled her whole head and carried my body with it.

"Hey."

Sasori said, sitting on the porch. I patted Arima and she put me down.

"Hey. You lonely? Want me to kidnap your boyfriend?"

"W-what?! Deidara is not my boyfriend!!"

"Your words, not mine."

Sasori glared at me and threw a flip flop at my direction which I dodged lazily with a chuckle.

"I'm gonna have to leave you here for a couple of days.....months alone. Will you be fine?"

"How are you sure I won't leave?"

"Do you possess hyoton and a big flying bird that can fly through the eye of a storm? If so then I can gladly let you walk away from here. Plus, we'll get in trouble. All of your buddies know you're dead and my buddies knew that I killed you. Imagine what would happen if we were to appear both unscathed?"

"Okay okay fine............just.......ᵇᵉ ᵇᵃᶜᵏ ˢᵒᵒⁿ."

"Huh? Were you saying something? I didn't quite hear—"

"I said come back soon! You brat!"

"Kay old man! I haven't talked to you about that issue yet so....."

"Yeah, let's go inside."

....

.......

...............

By the time I finished talking to him about how Kaguya will be summoned and how there's another threat called Game Master outside this domain, he looked like he was confused.

"*sigh* I don't need you to understand right away. I saved you because I believe that you are capable to protect this world from harm's way. Mull it over. If you have something to say, contact me through here."

I formed an ice ball on my hand and threw it at him. He caught it and examined the said thing.

"Just throw that on the ground, you'll be able to contact me."

I looked at him when he's still quiet after what I said. He's thinking of something.

"I'll come with you. Don't worry, I won't run away."

"That's not the point Sasori. I can't have the Akatsuki take you away from me. I'm more than sure that the moment they see you they will either kill you or if you're lucky, take your back. I'm still powerless against them. And I need them alive more than anything so......trust me on this. I won't leave you to die here. I'll probably come back in months time."

"If I haven't come back in 3 months, I'm probably dead. So here. That's a summoning seal for Arima. She'll take you out of here and onto where I'm revived."

"Revived?"

I smiled at him menacingly and stood up.

"Oh that's just one of my many many secrets. For now, trust me and I'll be back. Okay old man?"

I grinned with my ridiculously sharp teeth and patted his shoulder.

"I have a training facility here. You can use that for experiments and whatnot. I'll be leaving."

I said and jumped onto Arima. The said owl flapping her wings and stretching it.

"Bye Sasori~!"

I shouted before plunging back into the eye of the storm.

Third Person's POV

"Tsunade-baa chan, where's Akali dattebayo?? We've been looking for her all over Konoha!"

Bursted the blonde knucklehead at the fifth Hokage's office, along with her two red headed teammates who wanted to see her for the longest time. There was the Ino-Shika-Cho team too, and team Gai. All wanted to see her and welcome her back.

Tsunade pinched the bridge of her nose in annoyance. The white haired brat just got back and she immediately caused her a headache.

"She's still taking care of the aftermath she caused. I immediately sent her to save Gaara just as she arrived so she must have things to take care of. Now get out of my office, I'm busy!"

Shooed the Hokage as she slammed her door shut over the faces of the shinobi. Naruto puffed his cheeks and walked down the stairs.

"I hope she didn't leave again dattebayo...."

Meanwhile with Akali

"Why are you suggesting that now?"

"Becaaaause! You haven't worn it once! And your one year less eighteen! So wear it already!"

"And what if I don't want to?"

"...."

Akali looked at the floating shark plushie, who has a dark cloud over him and a teardrop on his left eye. Akali prevented herself from laughing as the Shark obviously sulked.

"Oh would you look at that. There's a waterfall there. Let's go Arima?"

The white haired girl said and lovingly patted Arima's feathers. The owl screeched and flew down as fast as she can.

"I'm gonna take a bath first. Go do whatever, just don't stray too far."

Arima gave her a closed-eyed smile as she hugged the plushie Pollux under her wing, the said shark plushie still sulking but is feeling too fluffy to judge.

Akali shook her head in amusement and took a quick bath under the waterfall. Surprisingly enough, she felt squeaky clean as she finished. She then wiped herself off and took the kimono that Pollux first gave her. It is quite beautiful, but too eye catching.

"Damn I look like Orochimaru's subordinate. Can't I like, wear this in blue??"

"Will do. Come here."

Akali got out of the water and onto Pollux's side, and as she did so, Pollux snapped his fingers and changed the purple color into a much lighter bluish one. Pollux held Akali's shoulder and made her turn around as he magically make something appear, tying her hair in a ponytail and clipping it with the said item.

"What's this?"

"Crown. 'Cause you're a queen."

"Aww. Sweet. Is this also a welcome gift?"

"You wish. If it wasn't for my fashion taste you would've been wearing rags."

"Guilty."

She said with her hands playfully raised. Pollux went back from his human form to the plushie form again as both of them rode Arima and flew off.

"Why the plushie form?"

"Cause I want to be seen. And you don't allow me in my human form much in Konoha, so what better than this?"

"You have shark form tho?"

"Do you seriously want to see a living breathing shark with millions of teeth floating around at 10:45 in the morning?"

"......good point."

Akali said with a chuckle as Konoha came into view. Arima screeched loudly and circled Konoha from above before flying down in one of the empty training grounds. Once Arima set talon on the ground, Akali jumped off along with Pollux who floated beside her.

"Bye Arima. Be aware for Sasori's call okay?"

"WHO WHO WHAT WHAT?"

"You know, the puppet that we took on the private island?"

"SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH!!"

"I'll take that as a yes then. Bye Arima~"

With closed eyes, Akali waved. Sending off the winter owl with a smile.

"Now, I'm off to visit Miria-nee. She must've been worried."

"AKALI-CHAN DATTEBAYOOOOOO!!!!"

Akali flinched when she saw an orange blob speeding towards her in dangerous pace. So as instinct, she sidestepped it and held it's head with a steel grip.

"Ow ow ow ow Akali-chan, it hurts ttebayo!"

"Naruto? I thought you were a raging bull for a second."

She smirked and slung her arm around his shoulder, rubbing her knuckle on his head.

"Welcome back, dattebayo! We were looking for you everywhere!"

"Well, I had things to take care of. Thanks for welcoming me back."

Akali said with half-lidded eyes and a chuckle. Naruto grinned at her and dragged her by the wrist.

"Where are we going?"

"To your favorite place dattebayo! Everyone's waiting!"

The voice got caught on her throat as confetti exploded in front of her eyes. Suzaku and Miria held the confetti guns as the rest shouted;

"Welcome back Akali!!!"

Happiness radiated at the whole TakoYuzuri as they warmly welcomed the white haired girl back. Some were clapping with smiles in their faces, some were shouting, some hugged her and some were quietly happy for her.

"This is why they think wars are fought and worth dying for. It's because they want to preserve this moment of happiness even for a short while."

Pollux stated. Akali looked fondly over her friends who were arguing playfully over who will slice the cake. In Akali's heart, this is the most happiness that she ever felt. Probably the last for her life.

"Yeah.........I don't know if this right. I'm going to miss this. As I descend to hell."

"Hey. I'm with you. I mean, I'm a corrupted bastard child after all. If you're confused about what's right and wrong, good or not, I'll be here for you. We'll always be a team."

Akali smiled at the shark plushie and hugged it. She doesn't want to hold onto this moment. She doesn't want to be swept by these feelings that's never going to last.

But for today, even just for today. She wants to let down her guard. She wants to feel the fickle absurdity of happiness.

And exactly that, she did.

Akali's POV

"Kid, your sanity is........running out. I told you, there was consequences when I told you what I knew!"

I shook my head to clear my head somehow and looked at my sanity.

"What's so wrong about that? I can just sleep that out and it will—"

"You don't understand! Even if you fully accepted the truth, that Lucian is tormenting your avatar from the inside!! If you don't hurry, you WILL die and perish in the 9th circle of hell. Just— just go faster! Prepare for war earlier. Fuck the plot— this is......well, not life and death more like saving yourselves but still."

"I know. I can't stay like this forever but do you have to yell that to me in the crack of dawn? I just woke up sh*thead."

"Okay okay fine, then would you rather we do it now—"

"Okay calm down!! Geez. So impatient."

Once was a ruthless detective, she was cold hearted towards the ones she brought to justice even if each of them had a reason why they did each crime. She was challenged by Deus ex Machina to change her ways, to be in the shoes of those she turned a cold shoulder, to kill in order to survive.
