As Momo sat in her classroom, she hummed softly. Her eyes were trained on the tall, green trees that danced in the wind. The movement of the leaves moving rhythmically made her want to go outside and sit on a hill to enjoy the wind too.
As much as she loves to see the daytime scenery, she excitedly awaited the night sky that would be extra beautiful tonight. It was a rare sight that she'd be able to catch a glimpse of for the first time in her entire life.
I can't wait. She thought sweetly, giggling to herself as she cupped her cheeks, staring out the window with content. She was unaware of the glares that were shot in her direction as she enjoyed herself. They hated that.
"What the hell is she so happy about?" The same girl from yesterday asked as she glared holes into Momo's head. Her friends shrugged, mimicking their friend's action by glaring at Momo too. "God, she's so damn annoying."
"I heard she was walking home with Tsukishima-senpai and his best friend, Yamaguchi-senpai." A female within the group piped up, pointing at Momo who hadn't moved an inch.
The girl's eyebrows furrowed with disbelief and anger as she burned a hole into Momo's head. "There's no fucking way they would walk home with that slut. It's just a dumb rumor."
The other girl nodded stiffly, feeling like she was on the receiving on the end of her anger. "Sorry, Shinohara-san."
Shinohara clicked her tongue, throwing Momo a dark look. "I hope she knows better than to do that."

"Hana-chan, how is it?" Momo questioned as she leaned over her upperclassman's shoulder. The older female chuckled, swatting Momo's head away.
"It's good. Why don't you watch from that side?" Hanako, her senpai, said as she pointed to the opposite side of the table. Momo nodded excitedly, rushing over to the other side of the table to watch from a better angle. "You know,"
The older female brushed a piece of her black hair behind her ears, glancing at Momo who met her eyes. "I never expected you to be into this kind of thing."
Images flashed through Momo's mind as those words processed in her head.
The class split off into their own tents, settling in for bed. Momo grabbed the zipper of the tent she shared with three of her junior high classmates and found that it was stuck.
"Kasai-san, can you unzip the tent?" Momo asked sheepishly, shivering slightly from the cold.
Kasai unzipped the tent slightly, throwing Momo's belongings out. "There's no space for you. Sleep outside."
Momo's mouth parted slightly as she tried to form some kind of response. In the end, the tent was closed up, and she couldn't say anything in reply, so she was forced to sleep outside.
Setting up her small sleeping bag beside the fire to keep warm, she laid down and stared up at the sky. The beautiful stars that littered the sky had her hypnotized. The cold, crisp atmosphere left Momo unbothered as she stared at the stars, mesmerized by it. The shivers that went down her spine were not from the temperature, but from pure awe.
Despite this school trip being horrible all around, that moment made it all worth it.
Momo returned to Earth when she heard the classroom door open, revealing Nagasaki-sensei walking in.
Immediately, Hanako put her head down as her introverted persona returned.
"How's it coming along, ladies?" Nagasaki-sensei asked as he made a beeline for the table that they were at. His eyes scanned the telescope that Hanako was busy fixing and nodded with approval.
Momo piped up, "It's going pretty well, Nagasaki-sensei. But," She began to push the middle-aged man towards the door playfully, giggling softly. "Hana-chan needs silence to finish it!"
He chuckled, holding his hands up in defense. "Fine, fine, I'll check back in tomorrow morning."
Once he was gone, Momo closed the door fully and returned to her spot by the table.
Hanako bashfully bowed to Momo, "Thanks...Momo-san."
"Of course! I know you don't like talking to others, so you don't have to worry about it when you're with me!" Momo exclaimed, grinning brightly at the raven haired female who looked away sheepishly.
Hanako Andou is a third year at Karasuno. She is one of the three third years in the astronomy club, along with two second years and one first year. She has long black hair that is usually tied up in a ponytail. Her eyes are a pretty green color, hidden behind her thick circular glasses.
Her personality was quite intricate since she is introverted and prone to social anxiety. It took a few months for Momo to get her to open up to her.
"Are you sure you don't want to see it with me tonight?" Momo questioned as Hanako finished up the telescope that was in need of repairs. The ravenette smiled sadly, reaching out to gingerly pat Momo's head.
"Sorry, Momo-san, but I have to work today." Hanako apologized sympathetically, showing Momo that she truly was sad about not being able to see it with her. "Why don't you invite that senpai you always talk about?"
Hanako noticed how Momo's eyes lit up like Christmas trees upon mentioning her favorite senpai. It brought a small smile to Hanako's face.
"That's a great idea, Hana-chan! Thank you!!" Momo ran around the table to give Hanako a small hug that nearly knocked her off her feet. Hanako was stiff and awkward, but she accepted the hug nonetheless.
"Be careful with the telescope. It's really expensive, so try not to move it from its spot, okay?" Hanako said as she and Momo carefully carried the telescope up to the roof. The smaller female nodded, understanding her upperclassman's words fully.
"Yes, ma'am." Momo exclaimed cheerfully, placing things down on the roof while Hanako began to put everything together for Momo.
"What's that?" Hanako asked, noticing the bag in Momo's hand. The small brunette unzipped the bag and pulled out a blanket and some small stuff.
"Star-gazing essentials!" Momo beamed, flashing Hanako a pack of pocky that she found at the convenience store by chance. This made Hanako chuckle softly.
"I hope you have fun watching the stars." Hanako wished as she smiled softly, making Momo's expression melt into a tender look.
"Hana-chan!!! You're so sweet! I love youuuu!" Momo exclaimed loudly, making Hanako quietly cover her mouth since some students still lingered around.
"You're embarrassing me, Momo-san." Hanako murmured, not used to attention from anyone since she never really had friends. It was part of the reason why her social anxiety was so bad.
The smaller female giggled, hugging Hanako gently. "Sorry!"
After a bit of setting up, both females finished up and began their journey home. Hanako was on her way home, so she could get ready for work while Momo made her way to the gym.
"The gym?" Hanako asked, noticing Momo's excitement as they neared the gym.
"Yes," She pointed at the metal doors that had the team inside. "Senpai's in there, so I'm gonna wait till his practice his over then invite him to the roof!"
Hanako nodded wearily, feeling like someone was watching them from a distance. Shaking the feeling off, Hanako smiled and pointed at the door. "You should probably wait nearby, so he can find you easily."
Momo nodded, waving at Hanako who began to walk away. "See you tomorrow, Hana-chan! Thank you for setting up the telescope! I love it!"
Hanako's heart warmed at Momo's words, feeling full since she was never able to make someone happy like this before. Putting down her head, Hanako smile at the ground as she walked home.
Thank you, Momo-san. You've really made me happy today. I appreciate it.
Momo plopped on the ground, fiddling with her hands as she waited for practice to end. The sun continued to go down while she sat in the cold, patiently waiting for Tsukishima and Yamaguchi.
A small smile lingered on her face as she thought of seeing the stars with her two senpais. It would be so much more fun than seeing it alone.
