Cheryl's PoV

Friday 24th June 2014,

Dear Diary,

So...how can I begin? Well, I'm out of that hotel and now I'm in this nice house which was on sale. I was surprised that I got it the next day I put in an offer for it. All my money is Mexican peso now so that makes life so much easier. I applied to be a waitress at that diner 'Carlos' Salsa' and I'm still waiting for them to reply on that. I'm sure they will let me in. I would be serving drinks and meals to the customers so that's good.

Everyone is exploding on my phone. There's a probably a thousand odd texts, I haven't checked in 3 days or something. I must've made JB depressed but I hope he doesn't think it's all his fault because it's mostly the public's fault. They just don't know when to leave someone alone. A human being at peace once in a while.

But now, I'm a human being, enjoying life at the warm, sandy beaches of Mexico and always at peace. I haven't made any friends yet but I am now acquainted with some of the locals here. And I think that's a start if anything. Buster and Coco are now with me again and they like it here too. I take them out for walks once a day now which I never had time to do. Sometimes, they didn't get to go out in a week which must've been bad for them. But it was because of all the work.

The waitress job is part-time throughout the week and I would get Sundays off which I love. So that's enough of me today,

After writing my second entry, I closed my notebook and pulled the covers of my new bed over me. I fall asleep straight away.

..........

*7am*

I opened my eyes and looked at the time. I thought, why not have an early morning walk with the dogs?

I smiled at the idea and rolled out of bed. I drawn the curtains open to be met by the fire-shaded sun again. I then went to the bathroom to have a quick shower, do my hygiene and then head downstairs. I wake the dogs up and they looked just as happy as I did. I fed them and put water into their water bowl before preparing a chicken enchilada for breakfast.

Since I had been in Mexico, some of the waiters and waitresses had given me some tips and recipe books to cook my own Mexican meals. I was really excited to learn something here other than the UK where everything just got boring.

After I finished breakfast, I got dressed in a casual summer outfit. I stocked up on more summer type clothes since it's pretty hot here. I had on a light blue tank top, and white shorts that were frayed at the bottom. I then put on some white and blue striped sandals and a pair of old black sunglasses. I had no makeup on. I wanted my skin to breathe every few days since I didn't have the pressure of always having to look perfect.

Then, Buster, Coco and I headed out to the sandy streets. A few of the locals waved to me.

"Hey Zorin!" Carlos, the diner manager waved."Hi!" I waved back."I received your application and you've got the job! We really needed someone else to help out at the diner. I think you would be very good at serving and talking to the customers. Hopefully, your cooking skills are good because sometimes we are short of chefs so you could step in." He said smiling."Yes! Um, thank you Carlos, I'm honoured. I'll work very hard, trust us. Thank you for the opportunity." I said."No problem, Zorin. Be at the diner tomorrow at 12pm, you will be working from 12 till 6 pm weekdays and then 11 till 4 on Saturdays. Okay?""Yep. See ya.""Bye, enjoy your day."

I couldn't believe it.

I've got a house, I've got a job and an amazing life right now!

I carried on strolling down to the beaches with the biggest beam plastered on my face. The dogs looked very happy as well.

Happy with our whole new life.

And you know what?

So am I.

.......

*11:55am the next day*

I arrived to my first day of the job five minutes early. Which was an achievement because I sucked at that normally.

Everyone else at the diner gave me a warm greeting and Carlos' best employee, Rico, showed me around the kitchen and gave me a few pointers on waitressing and cooking Mexican food. I was glad to be working with a group of kind people. I felt at home.

Work all went really smoothly for my first day. I knew that I had made the right decision to work there.

After work, I went back home to the dogs. I got changed out of my waitress uniform and took the dogs on another walk. Then, I cooked a fajita for dinner. Then, at around 11pm, I went to bed. Excited for the day that would come next.

I may have finally found paradise.

I've found peace and comfort.

And the feeling of normality.
