Leena's POV

"EYO GET UP LAZY ASS"

i groaned awake as i hear pounding on the door. i checked my phone and its still 8 am.

"i swear im gonna kill this bitch" i muttered underneath my breath. oh if you're wondering who 'this bitch' is, its my best friend cameron or as i call her cam.

we basically live together so she's like my friend, my parents, and my emotional support all at once.

its a wild idea but around a month ago, cam asked me to move with her. she came out to her parents as a lesbian and well it didn't go well for her. she got kicked out so she stayed at my house. but after a couple of days, she told me that she have to move to LA for her college. and surprise surprise she asked me to come with her. i didn't want to at first but she seems like she needs someone to go with her. so i give in and asked my parents if i can. and they somehow said yes. they told me that i could find a job in LA and they just got me a new mercedes for my graduation. so now here i am. stuck with her in LA without my family.

"AYE ARE YOU STILL NOT AWAKE?" she shouted. i yawned and got up from my bed.

i grab my clothes and went outside to the bathroom. yes this apartment is small and we only have one bathroom which is outside both our rooms.

"awh the sleeping beauty is finally awake" she teased. she was making breakfast in the kitchen and was getting ready to go to her class.

"fuck off" i flipped her off as i went to the bathroom to do my hygienes.

this is gonna be another boring day. im still waiting for the e-mails about my job. i applied on a cafe, a workplace that i know nothing about, and some kind of a boutique store. but i still haven't received anything about it.

i sighed as i plop down on my bed. i got nothing to do and im bored. cam is already on her way to college and im here living like my 50 year old dad that does nothing.

after staring at the ceiling for a minute i decided to go outside. maybe i'll go to the mall or a cafe? who knows im just gonna plan it along the way.

i wear my shoe and my hoodie and do a little make up. i locked the door and went to the elevator.

i waited for a couple of seconds and found out that there was a guy behind me. i dont feel comfortable so i ran to the stairs. im probably just paranoid but, gotta stay safe girls.

the only thing i hate about living here is that theres so many creeps around the building. hell im pretty sure there's also a drug dealer living here.

i reached the main floor and ran to get a taxi. i dont know why im rushing so much but i just hate the feeling of people around me.

i went inside the taxi and greeted the driver. "where to miss?" he asked politely. "uhm to Galco's please" that was the only place i could think of.

i still dont know much about the city and currently we're living in Highland Park.

i dont even know why cam chooses to rent an apartment here since her college is so far from here. maybe its because things are quite cheap around here.

before i even know it, i've arrived. i gave the money and i decided to do something.

"uh can you wait for me here? it wont take long and i'll pay extra" the driver just nodded. once again im telling you i hate being around people and i hate walking alone.

i went in the store and went straight to the soda section. me and cam went here before so i know which is the best one.

i grab the grape soda and went straight to the cashier. "that'll be $3.25" i give my $5 to her and when i look to my right, i saw someone getting in the taxi.

"shit" i grab the soda and the change and ran straight towards to exit. but then i felt someone hit my right side and i fell to the ground.

"BRO WHAT THE FUCK WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING" i heard someone yell. her voice was deep but soothing.

i got a little bit lightheaded as i try to stand up. i felt arms holding me up but my vision is still a little blurry.

"you good?" the voice asked me. i tried to focus at my surroundings until i saw her face.

her hair was blue, she got pretty eyes and she looks beautiful. she got a concerned look on her face tho.

"y- yeah im- im fine now" i stuttered. gosh why did i stutter?

she said something again but i was to busy analysing her. she wore this oversized hoodie and pants.

and she got tons of chains around her neck.

"hey you sure you good?" she chuckled. god shes cute. "yeah sorry i was a bit distracted" i giggled back.

"distracted by what babygirl?" i am screaming inside.

"n- nothing i should probably head home" i awkwardly said. "you're gonna walk by yourself?" she asked a bit concerned.

"yeah im just gonna get a taxi" she suddenly grabbed my hand and took me to the parking lot. am i gonna get kidnapped?

she pull out a car key and oh my god she got a challenger. im guesssing she saw my shocked face cause she's smirking so hard.

she opened the passenger door and signal me to get in.

the whole ride was just songs playing on the radio and comfortable silence. i've never been this comfortable with a stranger before.

"is this the place?" she asked as we stopped at the front of the apartment.

"thank you for the ride" i smiled at her. "anytime babygirl" she smiled back.

"im billie by the way" she said as i was about to get out of the car.

"im leena" she smiled and we said our goodbyes.

i ran through the lobby to the stairs and went in our room.

i barged in my room and plop to my bed once again.

all i could think of is her name.
