Chapter 11

00:18, 2 August 2025

Damon falls to the floor. "He's been deprived of blood since yesterday and it's going to stay that way until you apologise to me." I smile. Stefan laughs and I take them both directly outside my house.

"So. I may not have been completely honest." I begin. The brothers look at each other, exchanging confused glances at each other.

I shut my eyes, and the illusion around me disappears. The forest, the trees, the dirty mud and broken plants on the floor disappear, including the shed. Light flickers to and from. The cold disappears and warm humidity welcomes us with open arms. Instead, a beautiful forest, way better than the one we were just in shows. A cute cottage, decorated from bottom to the top comes before us.

I turn around and look at the boys, "So! I guess I'm not homeless after all!"

"She's better than Bonnie." Damon whispers as he takes in his surroundings. Stefan has a blank expression. His opinion is all that matters to me. "Stefan?" I walk closer to him. "So you've been living here?" He asks. "Are you mad at me?" He says nothing.

I read his mind. He's confused. His mind is racing with endless thoughts and questions. Who is she? What is she? Has she been lying to me? Is she safe? If she was homeless what is this? Is this why Bonnie's friends with her?

"Stefan I'll answer all your questions," I grab his hands. "You've got to believe me. I'm not here to hurt you." Damon looks from the side, "Never expected this." He points at my hands.

I show the boys inside the cottage and we all take a seat around the table. "Is there any Bourbon here?" Damon asks. Me and Stefan both give him the same look. "Start talking." Stefan states. He looks serious but I can read beneath him. He wants answers. And he's scared.

"So. I'm not from here as we know." They both nod in unison.

"I was born in London. But I've been on the run for a while now. My mum's dead. I don't know about my dad, or who he is. The one I think it is, he's dead. His death was my mum's breaking point. I have two younger siblings, twins."

"As I was growing up, my parents began to fear my magic. They thought it was too much for me, and that I wouldn't be able to control it. But they were wrong. Nevertheless, they tried stripping me from my magic."

"I stayed with uncle P for a while. He was good to me. I never really heard from my brothers or about them. I assume they were told not to speak to me."

"My family had then moved to America, and uncle P told me they wanted me back. I went to America, Westview to be exact, only to find out they had my death planned. They wanted to kill me." A tear dropped down my cheek and Stefan moved closer towards me and held my hand after wiping the singular tear away.

"Thankfully I escaped. I swear one of my twin brothers used their magic but to this day I don't know."

"I've heard that when the family speak about one another, they don't mention me, so I'm pretty much dead to them. Not that I care." I add onto the end. I clear my throat to get rid of the tension in the air.

"Mama was a bit you know..." Damon insinuates crazy by pointing to his head and spinning his finger around. "She have a name?"

"Wanda." I say bluntly.
