Part 7 - Confessions

Menma was testing his endurance by running up and down the tree while Sakura was the first to learn so she just watched Sasuke train as he kept trying to catch up with Menma then she saw Naruto with a torn up jacket and his bleeding arm and breathing heavily.

Then Sasuke landed on his feet as he looked at his latest mark on the tree which was nearly halfway up the tree then Menma stopped picked up a rock and threw it towards Naruto and Naruto turned and tilted his head but, the rock scraped his cheek and he groaned because he was even more sore than before because of that fast movement he looked at Menma's hoodie covered face.

Then Naruto said "Kakashi you go ahead I need to charge my chakra" then Menma said "Yeah in fact why don't you train Sasuke he's kinda slow for a Uchiha then Sasuke was trying not to hit Menma him being the Fourth's son who is a legend in the leaf village.

Naruto caught that and he thought 'thank goodness Sakura isn't here I do not want to hear that voice right now then a couple more seconds Naruto stood up and said "okay you guys go ahead I'll make sure Sasuke perfects this by dinner" then Menma and Kakashi both left and Sasuke said "you have that much confidence in me" then Naruto stared at him and with a stoic expression he said "well, it's not like you you've ever given me a reason to doubt you".

Then Sasuke smiled and said "idiot" Then Naruto said "you have to let loose if you wanna get to the top of the tree focus your chakra and clear your mind about everything but the top of the tree" then Naruto walked up the tree with ease.

Then Naruto dropped down and said "try it and remember to breathe" then Sasuke took a deep breath closed his eyes and started climbing the tree he slashed the mark and landed on the ground he looked to Naruto To see him smiling and pointing up and so did Sasuke to see his slash at the top of the tree and Naruto said "one more time Then we head back To dinner".

When they came in the door they were both grinning and Naruto said "Sasuke went all the up I told you he could do it by dinner didn't I Kakashi- sensei?"

Then they both sat down and were served they're plates when Inari stood up and yelled "you're all idiots if you think you can make a difference Gato is none of your business why don't you all go back to your own village and leave us alone you waste of a ninja" then Sasuke snarled and said "I saw all of my clan killed in front of my own eyes all by my own flesh and blood so if I had a chance to kill him before it happened I wouldn't hesitate" then Naruto stopped him and said in a calm voice.

"We have all worked hard to be ninjas and all for different reasons revenge or to escape some kind of pain i'm the latter I was tortured by my village everyday never able to fight back unless I had a death wish now can you imagine that being mentally and both physically tortured everyday since you could walk? No, I thought so, new question ever been taken advantage of because you were weak because no one cared about you enough to even think about saving you"

Everyone got silent Naruto looked at their shocked faces and broke the silence "I guess not"

Naruto got up and went upstairs to his room and Sasuke followed.
