Chapter 6 - The Truth

They were on there way to wave when Naruto sensed two chakras whoever they were had a whole lot to learn about stealth. Then Naruto saw a puddle 'and genjutsu' he thought.

Kakashi stepped in side it and a chain came out the puddle and he was ripped to shreds. Then two ninjas revealed themselves, and one came charging out to Menma the other was focused on Naruto and Tazuna then Menma kicked one towards a tree and the other. Ninja got distracted and Naruto got out a Kunai then Naruto did the same as Menma, but Naruto picked up his hands and stabbed the kunai inside his hands.

He got out another and held it to his eye and said "you can come on out Kakashi-sensei" then Kakashi came out and tied them both up and said "you see what my student did to your brother so imagine what I will do to you if you don't answer my questions".

Then they were both shaking and managed to say "Ganzo he hired us to kill the bridge builder that's all we swear" then Kakashi looked over to Tazuna and said "we need to talk".

When they finished their conversation Kakashi said "now from what Tazuna has told me this mission has gone from C to an A rank and since its not safe I think we will have to head back to the leaf village".

Then Naruto stood up and said "No,I will not turn my back on innocents and I will never turn the blind eye on a tyrant like Ganzo" then his teammates stood behind him except for Menma.

In Naruto's head

"So proud" Minato said

"To cheesy for me" Kurama replied

Outside Naruto's head

Kakashi didn't look that surprised by the speech Naruto gave after all it was Naruto, who has fought for his life something only a handful of 12 year olds can say out loud if at all.

"Okay it's settled we are going to continue but, Tazuna I need you to be fully honest with us got it".

Tazuna nodded in agreement and they continued their way to the hidden mist village.

As they continued they walked into mist and Kakashi said "all of you protect Tazuna" they all covered him except Naruto who was too distracted by all the chakra in the mist he was trying to find the biggest source when he did he  suddenly felt the biggest source of chakra behind him.

As he turned around he saw Kakashi rushing towards the assassin but then he felt a strike and everything went black.

After the battle

As Naruto woke up he saw a Anbu from the hidden mist he couldn't speak and could barely move he must have been hit in the head the Anbu took an now  dead Zabuza with him he stared hard and looked at the acupuncture needles in his neck then they both disappeared.

Kakashi fell unconscious and Sasuke and Sakura both picked him up and Menma stood over his brother and then told the rest of them to go on ahead and they would meet them at the village.

Then they were gone Menma took off his hood and showed his face it was like staring into a mirror then Naruto laughed and said "so not so ashamed of yourself now are you brother" and he smiled then Menma snickered and said "You are not my brother you are demon and mistake that's all you ever will be!".

Then Naruto's face went blank and then he started laughing at him and said "that was one of the dumbest things I've ever heard "if I am a mistake so are you dumb ass" then Menma picked him up put his hood back on and carried him to the village

Menma threw him down in their room and Naruto got up  a couple hours later and made his way down stairs and went out side and took a deep breath and started to think when he heard a sinister voice "hello my dear Naruto " Then Naruto was confused who this person was and why he would approach him so he asked "who are you?" Then the voice said "that doesn't matter what does matter is how much you want it, how much you crave it" confused Naruto asked "crave? Crave what?" Then the voice was directly behind him and it said "strength or maybe courage my dear Uzumaki".

Naruto noticed that the words were filled with malice but not the killing kind more like a it was trying to misdirect him and Naruto knew that in a small party of him that it was working he felt himself being convinced that this stranger could help him 'what was it that made him feel he could actually understand the voice?" Naruto asked himself Then the voice said "we'll meet again my little Uzumaki" this time Naruto was stuck in place the voice was behind him and he felt the chakra choke him with it's evil weight then it was gone he could again feel himself breathe. He took a deep breath then he went into the woods he found a good training spot and Naruto took off his shirt and to see his scars gone and he started his training.

After sunrise

Naruto went back to the house and saw his team dressed and ready to go train then Kakashi said "Naruto join us we're going to train" Kakashi said holding on to a crutch.

In the forest

Since Naruto and Menma were ahead of tree climbing and water walking Kakashi told Menma to watch Sasuke and Sakura and supervise them.

While Kakashi and Naruto were walking away Sasuke asked "Where are you two going?" Then Kakashi turned and said "oh us Naruto needs special training that's all" then Naruto scoffed and said "loser" with disinterest.

Then after a few minutes of walking Naruto and Kakashi stopped and said "Naruto are you ready to learn my technique" then Naruto nodded and Kakashi said completely serious "now before you learn do you swear to never use it on your allies and only to protect".

Naruto and Kakashi held eye contact and Naruto smiled and said "I swear Kakashi-sensei".

Then Kakashi said smiling "let's begin".

Sorry it took so long but I got distracted by another story and school and I hope you enjoyed this chapter and the truth was supposed to be Menma revealing himself to Naruto in case you didn't know😁.
