Part 25-I'm here

Clementine P.O.V I looked up at the "stranger." Actually, he was no stranger. He was Javier Garcia, my long lost uncle. Behind him were Sophie, Kate, Gabe, James, and the girl who had helped me at the delta. "J-Javi?" I said with nearly zero confidence. His eyes widened. "How the fuck do you know my name?" He asked with confusion. Kate walked up behind him and kneeled down next to him. "J-Javi-" She was cut off by a walker grabbing Gabe. He yelled for help. Kate and Javi both ran over to Gabe, Javi pulling out his baseball bat from behind. He swung the bat at the walker, killing it. Gabe panted while Kate had her arm around his shoulder and asking him questions. Gabe only nodded in response. James sighed. "Close one. Better watch out next time." James said while wiping something off of his jacket with his hand. Sophie sighed before coming over to me. I could feel her staring at me, but I didn't say much. "Guys! There's more walkers!" Gabe called. I looked out into the horizon to see a bunch of walkers coming towards us. I swiped my bag and yelled at everyone to follow me. Everyone grabbed their bags and started to follow me. "And what exactly do you have planned?!" Ruby yelled towards me while she was holding the trembling hands of Willy and Tenn. "I don't know, Ruby! Maybe you should try stepping up to the plate and being a leader! How about you see how fucking hard it is?"   She scoffed and didn't say anything else. I continued to run as fast as my legs could take me.   You may ask why we didn't just kill the walkers. Well...the walkers outnumber all of us by a lot. So uh...we really have no other choice but to run until we find something. I started to slow down after running so long when I saw a small wooden cabin in the distance. My boots made a halt when we finally reached the cabin. I looked behind me to see everyone panting and trying to catch their breathes. I pointed to the cabin door. "I'll go in first you guys follow behind me." Everyone nodded or didn't say anything and tried to catch their breathes. The cabin door made a squeak as I pushed it in. Inside was one walker who was crawling. I reached into my back pocket to find nothing. Shit, I must've lost it back there. Javi ran in front of me and swung his bat onto the walkers head, smashing it's skull. Blood and guts splattered onto the baseball bat as the walker was being killed. He brought his bat away from the walker and put it back on his back. "T-Thank you." I said. He only nodded in reply. I looked around the cabin. It had two windows, one on the left wall and one on the right. Both windows were placed in the middle of the each wall they were on. It held two bunk beds, one on the right and one on the left. In between the beds was a drawer with a small candle on it. I placed my bag down to the very left of the door and took a few deep breathes. Everyone came into the cabin. The last person in closed the cabin door, making sure to latch up the door. Javi began wiping down his bat. Ruby talked to the kids. Minnie comforted Violet. James sat on a bottom bunk with the girl who helped me at the delta. Gabe and Kate were talking about...something. Javi looked at his bat before putting it on the dresser and walked over to me. "Mind telling me who you are?" I gulped. Kate walked up behind him and gasped. "Clementine?" She covered her mouth and gasped. I simply nodded. "It's been so long! I-I can't believe we're all ok. I-It seems like forever since I've last seen you." Javi started to speak before I could answer Kate. "Clementine? Holy shit.."  He started to look behind him and around. He looked confused and quite concerned to be honest. "Is AJ here? I haven't seen the little guy in years!" This quickly brought back flashbacks. AJ.. My facial expression softened into a small frown. I crossed my arms and looked down at the floor. "Sophie?!" I heard Minnie say from across the cabin. I could hear some rustling before the sounds of muffled words. I glanced over at the two to see Sophie and Minnie with arms wrapped around each other swaying back and forth. The girls made me smile. They were so close, so happy. And then there was me, the girl who murdered, manipulated, and much more just for her lover. Damn. Gabe was staring at me and smiling. I looked over at him and tipped my hat. He only laughed in reply. Javi placed his thumb on my face and started to feel the giant scar and some of the other little ones. Some of the cuts on my wrist were visible, but they have been for awhile.   "Woah..Clem, what the fuck happened to you?" He said referring to the scars.   I sighed. "An encounter with the delta. I'd rather not go into detail about it."   "A-Alright." He said and then walked over the Gabe and explained what's going on. Kate sat against the wall and pondered. I walked over the James and the girl. They were chatting about something. I tapped James on the shoulder and smiled down at him. "H-Hi?" He said still confused of who I am. I pointed to my hat and scars, trying to give him hints of who I was. He scrunched up his face before gasping. "Y-You're the girl that I helped at the delta, right? I believe your name was Clementine?" I only nodded. The girl next to him recognized me and smiled. "It's nice to see you, hun!" She said all bubbly. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around to see Gabe with a wide smile. "H-Hey Clementine! It's nice to see you after all this time." I only hummed in response. "So what were you doing in the woods anyway?" Kate came up from behind him and put a hand on his shoulder. I started to explain the whole Louis situation to her. She only nodded her head in response, understanding. We both decided that it was time to get the group together and form a plan.

Little did I know that this...this whole situation would change my life for the good forever.
