Part 15-Speechless

*I've canceled the plans for a new story so I'm just gonna covert my ideas into this story. Also,the photo at the top is my attempt of drawing Clem based off of my description in this story* Today,was a typical day. The sun shining bright in the blue sky. The clouds with an ever so lightly hue of gray. The trees, a light brown with little green leaves hanging from them. I ran my hand through my brunette hair, ripping all the knots out as I did. I've never really have gotten to brush it since it's the apocalypse and it's very rare to find a brush. I sat at the picnic table outside,tracing my hand over the nooks and crannies of the wood. The wood seemed fairly old and worn down. I contemplated about last night,with Louis. I mean yes,it felt...amazing but,what does he think of it? When I try to remember what happened it's all just a blur,just like the whole AJ situation. My little goofball deserved better than to be bit and shot. Shot,by the person he trusted most. We all could've been a family,together. Louis,AJ,and me. Louis and me could've raised AJ together like...parents. The parents my goofball never got to meet. The Rebecca situation and Alvin thing...I was so young. I could barely understand what was happening. Rebecca died right after the birth ash Alvin was killed over jealousy. Kenny however took care of the bastard that killed Alvina and I saw it all. Speaking of Kenny,I miss him like hell. No matter what he protected me. He did anything to keep AJ and I safe,anything. Kenny was broken,like a mirror shattered into so many tiny pieces that you can't put back together. Kenny was like a brush without paint. A canvas that's blank. A game without the pieces. However,I trusted that man with my life. When he killed Jane,I couldn't even react. Although,I came to my senses and realized that he was just protecting AJ and me. I don't even have the guts to talk about Lee. Or even think about him actually. That man died for my life. That man died protecting me. Look where I am now. I'm happy and I have people who I care about and vise versa. Loud,heavy footsteps came up from behind me. I didn't turn around because I'm actually kind of scared to see who it is. I know it sounds silly but I get paranoid. "Hey.",the voice spoke up. Whoever the person was came over and sat down next to me. I looked to the left and me to see Louis sitting by me with a cheeky smile across his face. "Hey.",I said with a small chuckle, "About last night..." "Yeah,I..I'm sorry I..Did I hurt you or..?",he spoke while looking at the ground and avoiding eye contact. Why was he apologizing? "Lou,why are you apologizing? We should do it again some time." I gave him a wink,kind of like he does to me sometimes. He looked up at me,his jaw dropped. His face turned a burgundy shade of red. His eyes looked like they were ready to pop out of there sockets and his jaw looked like it was gonna fall off. "I-I-You enjoyed it?!",he said while stuttering. "Doofus.",was all I replied along with an eye roll. "Wait,you actually enjoyed it?!",he said,still in awe. "Yeah,you?" "Hell yeah. I could just pick you up and by and kiss you right now. I can't believe you actually enjoyed it." I rolled my eyes at his comment and crossed my arms. "Then do it.",I said in a sarcastic tone. I'm surprised no one knows about our relationship yet. Sophie wasn't been around,thank god. Minnie has been but she's actually nice so,nothing could really ruin our relationship right now. He picked me up from the picnic table and carried me bridal style. "C'mere.",he said said while bringing his face closer to mine. He smashed his soft lips against mine. "Louis,has a girlfriend!",an unfamiliar voice called from the distance. He immediately pulled away from the kiss,still holding me in his arms. He looked up to see Vi standing from the school's entrance with Minnie,laughing. Lou opened his mouth but no words came out. I jumped out of Lou's arms and walked towards both of them. "Clem,you didn't tell us that Lou and you are a thing?!",Vi said between laughter. My cheeks grew hot and my palms became sweaty. I scratched the back of my neck,"Er,just don't tell anyone yet,please." Vi rolled her eyes and crossed her arms "Vi..",Minnie said from behind her. "Ok,ok,I won't tell anyone" "Ah, thank you.",I said with a grateful smile. She winked at me before walking off with Minnie. I walked back to Louis and looked him in the eye. "They said they won't say anything." He let out a long sigh of relief. "Thank god. I'm gonna go hunting with Aasim today. I'll see you in a a bit.",he gave me a peck on the cheek, "I'm gonna go find Aasim. I'll be back in the bit." "Okayyyy.",I said while making the last few letters of the word longer. I walked over to where Vi and Minnie sat,hand in hand. Minnie looked up at me and waved with a big smile on her face. Vi noticed me and gave me a small wave using her free hand. "Marlon would've been excited and happy for you too.",Minnie spoke up, "I mean that is if he was still here." She let out a long sigh and a looked at the ground. "But, the Marlon I knew was fake. I don't blame AJ for what he did." She let go of Vi's hand and crossed her arms and legs. Her short red hair covered on of her eyes. Vi had the same hair style but her hair covered her right eye while Minnie's covered her left eye. "Clementine?",she said while she looked up at me. I put my left hand on my hip and used my right hand to adjust my cap. "Yeah?" "What happened to you at the delta? If you don't wanna talk about it then it's ok." She patted down her hair and then crossed her arm again. I sat down next to Minnie in the bench. I lowered my cap and looked at the ground. "I-Abel hit me and..touched me and...ugh,that's all I'm gonna say." Violet's eyes widened. She looked to at ground from the left of her. Minnie gasped and looked at me with shock and sorrow. "I had no clue..I'm sorry Clementine.",Violet spoke. "Heh,it's not your fault. At least I get to be a pirate now. Argh!" They both chuckled at my stupid,goofy comment. "I'm gonna go and take a walk." I got up from the bench. I walked towards the big metal gate and opened it. I got outside and closed the gate behind me. I walked as the leaves crunched underneath my weight. The breeze brushed against my face leavening small shivers down my spine. I pulled my hair out of my face and put it behind my ear. In the distance I saw the almond trees,beautiful as ever. The white blossoms where so serene,it almost felt like a dream. If this is a dream then don't wake me. The stream glistened against the sun light. You could see pebbles through the stream's transparent water. I walked up to the tree closest to the stream and traced my fingers over the initials Louis and I carved. 'C+L' it read with a heart around it. I traced my hand over the heart that lay deep in the tree's bark. I walked closer to the stream and sat down at the edge of it. I ran my fingers through the water and looked down into it. The pebbles consistent of different hues of gray and a cranberry color. From the distance I could hear a grunt and a loud clunk on something metal. Hopefully the raiders aren't back. I got up and hid behind one of the almond trees. My breathing became heavy only because the memories of the delta came rushing back to me. I peeked out from behind the tree to see Aasim standing and shaking his head with his hand in this hip. I shrugged it off,just assuming it's a animal or something. I got out from behind the almond tree and decided to walk back home. I walked as the leaves crunched along with trigs snapping. Today was an awfully good day,too good to be true. I made my way towards the gate. Minnie saw me and paced towards to the gate to open it for me. "Your back.",she gave me a genuine smile. I nodded and sat down on the picnic table. Aasim came bursting through the gates,panting. He put his hands on his knees and looked at the ground trying to catch his breath. "Aasim?" Violet walked over to him and put her arm on his back. "I-It's Louis. I-I.." My head started running through with so many thoughts at once. Is Louis bit or missing or d-dead? No,he can't be. Not my Louis. "What,where's Louis?",I looked at him with a panicked expression. "I'm so sorry." "Wait what?" I gasped at his remark. What does he mean? My Louis can't be dead. "Louis isn't..Louis didn't quite make it." Big globs of water. I just stood there. "What happened?!",Vi came from behind me. I couldn't speak or move or anything. I just stood there like an idoit. "We ran into the raiders that hurt Clem and they...they stabbed him in the neck." The wind blew against my face,sending shivers down my spine. I just felt lost. Lost,like a child in an orphanage. Lost,in a sea of emotions just waiting to drown. If this is dream then please wake me from this nightmare.
