17:55, 5 August 2025[Sorachai & Amara – Bedroom]
Mr. Sorachai stands silently by the window, staring outside, lost in deep thoughts. Mrs. Amara glances at him and softly says—
Amara:“You’re thinking about Pond too, aren’t you?”
Mr. Sorachai turns to look at her. His eyes carry exhaustion and a heavy weight.
Sorachai (sighs):“Yes… I’ve been thinking about something…”
Amara (curious):“What have you decided?”
Sorachai walks closer to her, his voice tinged with pain.
Sorachai:“Amara… I’ve decided we should give in to Pond’s demand.”
Amara freezes, completely shocked.
Amara (in disbelief):“What… what are you saying? Do you even realize what that means?”
Sorachai (firm tone):“I know exactly what it means, Amara. But if I don’t… then your son, Phuwin… he’ll file for divorce. He said it himself.”
Fear and tension flash across Amara’s face.
Amara (pleading):“Then convince him! Tell him to drop this madness.”
Sorachai (deep voice):“You know your son. Once he makes up his mind… he never backs down. Still… I’ll try. I’ll talk to him.”
---
[Phuwin enters Pond’s room]
When Phuwin returns from Mr. Sorachai’s room, Pond is waiting inside, restless. The moment Phuwin walks in—
Pond (impatient):“Did you talk to him?”
Phuwin (nervous):“Yes… I did. But Pond… Dad… Dad isn’t agreeing.”
Pond (frustrated):“Phuwin… you need to convince him.”
Phuwin:“I’m trying, Pond.”
Pond:“Try again. Talk to him once more.”
Phuwin:“I will… I’ll talk to him.”
---
[Later – Pond’s Room]
Pond sits alone on the bed, stress written all over his face, phone in his hands but heart drowning in a storm. The door suddenly opens—Mr. Sorachai walks in. Pond instantly stands up.
Pond:“Dad…”
Sorachai (serious):“Pond… we need to talk.”
Pond (nodding):“Yes…”
Sorachai (firm):“Pond, you’re my sensible son. Please, let go of this stubbornness. That girl… she isn’t right for you. She has no family, no money, no status. You’ll regret this, Pond.”
Pond (voice rising):“Dad, please! Stop badmouthing her. Say whatever you want… I’m going to marry Namtan.”
Sorachai’s face hardens in anger, his voice sharp.
Sorachai (angrily):“And what about Phuwin? Have you thought about him?!”
Pond (confident):“Dad… when did I say I’ll wrong Phuwin? I’ll stay with him just like before. Nothing will change for him. He’ll get every right he deserves, Dad.”
Sorachai (furious):“Then why did you tell him… if he fails to convince me, you’ll divorce him?!”
Pond (calm but cold):“Yes, Dad. If you don’t agree to this marriage… then I will divorce Phuwin.”
Sorachai controls his rage, taking a deep breath before speaking in a chilling voice—
Sorachai:“Fine, my son. Have it your way. Tomorrow, the wedding will happen. That girl will enter this house. But remember—this marriage is only happening because Phuwin wants it. Otherwise, no one… and I mean no one, would dare bring that girl into this family while I’m alive. Understand? Never forget this favor.”
Pond (slowly):“Yes, Dad… I understand.”
Sorachai:“Be ready for tomorrow.”
He storms out, leaving Pond frozen in silence.
---
[Hallway]
Sorachai calls Phuwin over. Phuwin approaches, eyes filled with desperate hope.
Sorachai:“Phuwin… son, the wedding is tomorrow.”
Phuwin:“Dad… you said you’d fix this. Then why… why are you saying the wedding is tomorrow?”
His voice cracks, tears rolling down. Sorachai places a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
Sorachai (soft but firm):“My child… don’t cry. Listen to me. I have to get Pond married… or God knows what will happen. But remember this—Pond belongs to you. Only you. That girl… she means nothing. You are first, she is second. Keep her in her place. Don’t let that filthy girl ruin anything. Be strong. No tears. And make sure Pond feels guilty for what he’s done. Hurt him… but stay close to him, or that girl might manipulate him.”
Phuwin (teary but determined):“Yes, Dad. I understand.”
Sorachai:“Good. Now go.”
Phuwin leaves silently.
---
[Sorachai & Amara’s Room]
Sorachai (cold tone):“Amara… the wedding is tomorrow.”
Amara (worried):“Are we doing the right thing?”
Sorachai (dark voice):“Nothing will go wrong. I’ll make sure that girl knows her place. If I don’t destroy her… then my name isn’t Sorachai Thanwan.”
---
[Phuwin’s Room – Night]
Phuwin enters his room, heart in chaos. Pond comes in right after, standing in front of him.
Pond:“Phuwin… thank you. For convincing Dad… thank you.”
Phuwin only hums faintly and sits on the bed. Pond watches him, then sits beside him. After a long silence, they both lie down.
Pond turns to face Phuwin and whispers—
Pond:“Phuwin… I’m sorry. I know I’m wrong. But I’ll never leave you. No matter what… you’ll always have me, just like Namtan will.”
Phuwin says nothing, just keeps staring at the ceiling. Pond grows restless.
Pond:“Phuwin… why aren’t you saying anything?”
Phuwin (cold):“What should I say?”
Pond:“Then why aren’t you talking to me?”
Phuwin:“There’s no point in talking.”
Pond:“What do you mean?”
Phuwin (broken whisper):“Just sleep… tomorrow is your wedding.”
Phuwin turns away. Tears silently fall from his eyes. Pond just stares at him, feeling the weight of his own guilt.
---
[Next Morning – Downstairs Hall]
Phuwin sits with Mr. Sorachai and Mrs. Amara, sipping coffee in heavy silence. Upstairs, tension brews.
---
[Rasee & Virat’s Room]
Rasee (smirking):“Huh… Pond just ruined his own life. Honestly… I’m so happy about this.”
Virat (snapping):“Do you even have a heart? Phuwin’s life is falling apart… and you’re enjoying it?”
Rasee:“Oh, stop. I told you earlier—we should’ve married Phuwin to Gemini. But no! Now see what’s happening!”
Virat (disgusted):“You’ll never change. Always full of jealousy and spite. Remember—this won’t bring you anything.”
Rasee:“Whatever. Don’t ruin my mood.”
---
[Living Area]
Fourth sits near the stairs, worried.
Fourth:“Dad… did you really agree to Pond’s marriage? What about Phuwin?”
Sorachai:“I had no choice, Fourth. For now, this is best for all of us.”
The air thickens with tension as Rasee and Virat walk in.
Sorachai:“Listen, all of you—no one talks to that girl. About anything. Understood?”
The room falls into uneasy silence.
---
[Evening – Pond’s Room]
Phuwin quietly walks in, holding a suit. He places it on the bed.
Phuwin:“Pond… here are your clothes.”
Pond doesn’t respond. After a pause, he changes and comes out. Phuwin sits on the bed, scrolling his phone. Pond steps closer, stopping right in front of him.
Before Phuwin can stand, Pond gently holds his wrist.
Pond (voice breaking):“Phuwin… I know I’m wrong. Please… forgive me. Please. I’m begging you.”
Phuwin opens his mouth to speak—but a knock interrupts.
Pond quickly lets go as Phuwin opens the door. Mr. Sorachai stands there.
Sorachai:“Pond… hurry up. We don’t have much time.”
Before leaving, Sorachai softly caresses Phuwin’s head. Pond glances at him one last time, then walks away.
Phuwin locks the door, collapses on the bed, sobbing.
Phuwin (whispers through tears):“I’ll never forgive you… never…”
---
[Courtroom]
Pond, Sorachai, Namtan, and Nattaya stand before the registrar. Papers signed. A cold, joyless wedding.
Nattaya:“Mr. Sorachai… wait. One more thing. My daughter gets 50 million every month. I don’t trust you. And since this is Pond’s second marriage, my daughter won’t be treated unfairly.”
Sorachai (furious):“What nonsense is this, Pond?”
Pond:“Namtan… what is your mom saying?”
Namtan (innocent tone):“Why, Pond? She’s only thinking about me.”
Pond clenches his fists, rage simmering.
Sorachai (snapping):“I won’t entertain this rubbish! Let’s go.”
They leave.
---
[Mansion – Evening]
The family sits in tense silence as Pond and Namtan walk in.
Namtan (sweetly):“Pond… where’s your room?”
Everyone looks shocked.
Sorachai (booming voice):“What do you mean by that?!”
Namtan:“Uncle… I’m his wife now. I should stay in his room.”
Sorachai smirks coldly.
Sorachai:“You forget something. Pond’s first husband is still here—Phuwin. And he stays in that room. Understand?”
Namtan:“But Uncle… I have as much right as Phuwin.”
Sorachai:“No. Your room is already prepared. If you want to stay, stay there. Pond will live with Phuwin.”
Pond (stepping in quickly):“Namtan… please. Not now. Just… stay in your room tonight.”
Namtan (hesitant):“But Pond—”
Pond:“Please.”
She exhales sharply and forces a smile.
Namtan:“Okay.”
---
[Night – Pond Enters His Room]
Phuwin hears the door click. He turns. Pond walks in, locking it behind him.
Before Pond can speak, Phuwin rushes forward and hugs him tightly, crying uncontrollably.
Phuwin (desperate):“Please… Pond… don’t go to her. Please…”
Pond’s heart shatters. He holds Phuwin close, stroking his hair gently.
Pond:“I’m not going anywhere. I’m right here.”
He lifts Phuwin onto the bed, cupping his face and wiping his tears.
Pond (softly):“Please… don’t cry, Phuwin. Please…”
Phuwin grabbed Pond tightly. His breaths were tangled with sobs, tears streaming down his face, soaking Pond’s shirt.
Phuwin (crying, voice broken):“Pond… why? Why did you marry her? Is it… is it because you don’t like me? Am I… am I a burden to you? Is that why? I won’t… I promise I won’t bother you anymore… I really won’t…”
Every word hit Pond like a knife to the heart. He pulled Phuwin closer, fingers gently threading through his hair, and spoke in a soft, shaky voice—
Pond:“Please… calm down, Phuwin. Don’t cry like this… and you’ve never been a burden to me. I’m the bad one here. Not you.”
He wiped Phuwin’s tears, cupping his face with both hands, as if trying to piece back something broken.
Pond (even softer):“Please, Phuwin… stop crying.”
Slowly, Phuwin fell silent, his breathing heavy as he looked at Pond. Pond brushed away the tear-streaks on his cheeks and forced a small smile—a fake smile, only to comfort him.
Pond:“Come on… let’s get some sleep.”
He gently laid Phuwin on the bed, pulled the blanket over him, and then lay down beside him. Without a word, Phuwin buried his face into Pond’s chest. Pond froze for a moment… then slowly began stroking his hair.
The room was filled only with the sound of their breathing. Gradually, Phuwin drifted into sleep… but Pond couldn’t. His eyes stayed open, fixed on the ceiling, as his mind waged a war within.
Pond (in his thoughts):“What… what have I done? How could I do this? I… I love Namtan, don’t I? That’s why I married her… then why is this happening? Am I wrong? Yes… I’ve made a mistake. Phuwin… he doesn’t deserve this. He never did. But… what do I do now? I can’t stand to see him like this…”
A storm of guilt raged in his heart. He cursed himself over and over, and lost in that turmoil, he finally closed his eyes in the darkness of the night.
