*Chapter 8

23:30, 23 September 2016

"What do you mean?" I growled as I lit up other areas of the house "Where are my parents?"

"Oh, they're taking a vacation at Lake Laogai" Long Feng smirked. His words screamed lies in my head, yet I felt like he was telling the truth.

"What about you calling me a Feng? I am a Lee" I spat. The man stood up, the green bouncing off his face, making him look even older and more frighting than he already was.

"Mika, I'm afraid you've been told more lies" he spoke softly "You see, you are my daughter."

I was frozen. My eyes widened in shock and my mouth hung slightly. "N-No! It can't be! You're lying!" I accuse, my face thawing as anger takes over.

Long Feng takes a daring step forward, "Where do you think you got your bending from? Your mother and 'father' cannot bend" he spoke as he grabbed a glove from his pocket and bended the material.

"How? How is this even possible?" I wondered aloud.

"Well you see, I loved your mother and she loved me, well at least I thought. One day she ran off and I was unable to find her. She hid you from me" he spoke, his voice almost...sad? "So you can imagine when the joy I felt when I saw HER name on the list along with her husband and child"

"Thank God she did, who knows what you would've made me become!" I shot angrily. Long Feng stood there, anger now appearing onto his features. "You would've taken over the Dai Li, you would've had all the power in the world" he spoke.

"I would've been a liar controlling more liars" I spat gripping my fists tightly. "You would be a master bender Mika, a true master" he spoke "And you can still become one".

He shot the glove at me, in which I held my hand up, catching the earth and crushing it to sand in my hand.  I bent the sand in an 8 motion, but my eyes stayed glaring at Long Feng. "I don't need or want your help"

He stepped forward again "You will, because it would be horrible if something were to happen to your friends and 'parents'" he smiled crookedly.

"You wouldn't dare" I growled smashing my hands together, causing the sand to form into a small rock again. "The Avatar and his friends will get a tip of where their Bison is, and they will leave the city" he smiled "It would be a shame if they never made it outside the Upper Ring"

"It would also be a shame if you lost your mother and that man you call a father" he added smiling.

"No" I croaked "You can't do this!" I hissed.

"Oh but I can, but if you come with me, and away from that little...team, they  and your parents will be spared and then out of my hair" he smirked.

I wanted to say no, I wanted to run to their house, to Sokka..and everyone else. But they would be put in danger.

I rose my hand to throw the rock at Long Feng head but two pairs of hands grabbed my wrists and slapped metal cuffs on them. "Hey!" I hissed struggling against the restraints. The Dai Li instantly tightened the cuffs, causing me to cry out in pain.

"Take her away, we'll deal with her tomorrow" Long Feng spat before walking out the door.

The men continued to shoot an earth glove at my mouth, keeping me quiet and they yanked me from my home.

"mmhp!" I muffled  angrily as they pulled me through the dark city streets. I dug my bare feet into the earth, trying to get some traction or something to bend.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally, we reached a sandy beach, one agent let go of me before standing slightly in the water. He rose his hands, causing a platform to rise out of the dark waters.

I had one last chance to try anything, so I kicked my foot into the air, causing sand to slam into the guard holding me. "Hey! Stop her!" he screamed as he fell into the sand.

I kicked the other foot into the air, causing the sand to slice through my cuffs. Before the Dai Li agents could even grab some solid rock,  I rose my hands into the air, causing a large wave of sand to crash over them.

Both men started coughing loudly as sand filled their lungs. I raised my hands into the air, causing the sand to grip itself to the men and raise them into the air.

Before I could slam them into the sand, small rock gloves latched onto my feet and hands, before pulling me to the ground.

After my escape attempt, the men pulled me into a large room.

Instantly my eyes settled on the large white bison with brown arrow marks covering its body.

"Appa.." I whispered as the animal looked at me.

The men yanked me towards the animal near a wall. They instantly chained my feet and hands in metal boots and gloves, keeping me from bending. Then they attached chains to the metal garments before chaining it to the wall.

"Let's see you bend your way out of that Missy" one guard laughed before leaving me alone with the animal.

The animal glared at me before growling angrily.

"Hey Appa" I sighed quietly "I know you don't know me, and I don't know you, but I know Aang, Katara, Toph..and Sokka".

The animal's eyes changed from an evil glare to a calm and clear expression.

"Don't worry boy, we'll get out of here, and I'll make sure you get back to your family" I whispered as the lights above us went out.
