Chpt. 16 - Desires

16:56, 28 March 2018

Evan and Connor walked as quietly as they could to Connor's bedroom. They tip-toed up the stairs and down the hall, making sure to not make a single noise. If they woke Zoe or Connor's parents, then that was it for them. Ever since Connor had come out to them, they had set some new rules for him. Evan was not allowed to spend the night or be at the house without their knowledge or consent. I mean, they were boyfriends after all. Evan slipped through the door and sat comfortably on the carpeted floor. Connor went in after him, then silently shut the door.

"Now let me see your chin. You scraped it." Connor held some band aids and alcohol swabs in his hand, which he had swiped from his parents' bathroom before they had made their ascent upstairs. Evan tipped his head back and watched as Connor examined the flesh wound. "This is gonna sting a little bit." He whispered as he gently dabbed the scrape with an alcohol swab. Connor was right. It did sting. Evan flinched a tad bit, then patiently waited as Connor stuck a band aid on his chin.

"You didn't have to do that... It was only a scratch." Evan said, his words filling the dark silence. "I care about you, Ev. I've never cared about someone this much." Connor cooed softly into Evan's ear, then lightly pushed him onto his back. He pinned him to the ground, and began to vigorously kiss Evan's lips, each touch of his lips grew rougher. Connor pulled away, only to say a few more loving words, "Evan. I don't know how I survived without you." He threw himself back to Evan's lips. If anyone had been watching, it seemed like Connor was attempting to eat Evan's face.

Fireworks of thought were going off in Connor's mind. Don't stop, don't stop, don't stop. His mind flitted the words all around his brain, crushing any other thought that might invade his head. Evan didn't know what to do. He was extremely astonished by this act of love from Connor, but he by no means wanted him to stop. If anything, he egged him on, running his shaking fingers through Connor's hair.

Connor began to reach for the hem of Evan's shirt, but that was when Connor's door creaked open. Connor leaped off of Evan, his face flushed and Evan stayed on the floor, his eyes unblinking. Zoe poked her head through the door, a sleeping mask sat messily on her head. She appeared to have just woken up.

"Thought I heard something going on in here." Zoe crooned.

Evan was too flustered to say a word, Connor had definitely left a lasting impression on him. He wanted to crawl over to Connor and throw himself at him, embracing him and whispering sweet nothings into his ear, which was not at all something he would do due to his anxiety and nervous nature.

"Then you'd know that we were only studying, right?" Connor cocked a brow.

"Studying what exactly? Human anatomy?" Zoe joked, winking at the two of them, then leaving them to go at it once more. She shut the door and bounded off to her room. Connor reluctantly gazed at Evan, afraid that if he continued what they had just been doing, then they'd get caught once more... But, next time by one of Connor's parents, if not both.

"Uhm..." Evan decided to break the lingering silence, his voice wavering. "I guess I should... Well, go home? Right?" Connor leapt next to Evan. "What? No, you don't have to leave. You could stay the night, if you want." Connor had never spoken so rapidly before, attempting to get Evan to stay proved to be a worthy task. He wanted him. He needed him.

Connor grasped Evan's hand, not wanting to ever let go.

"Okay. I could- I mean, only if it's okay with you! I'll stay." Evan began to play with the pockets of his jeans with his free hand, trying to keep his nerves under control. He always attempted to not be too nervous around Connor because he perceived his anxiety to be the worst part of himself, he didn't want Connor to hate what he saw. "Great." Connor sighed, casting a love-struck gaze upon Evan.

As the night began to draw to a close, Connor made a pallet on the floor, created with warm blankets and pink, fluffy pillows he had borrowed from Zoe's room. Evan made himself comfortable on the pallet, pulling one of the many blankets over his exhausted frame, comfort was all he felt. For the first time in forever, Evan wouldn't be sleeping in an empty house with no around. Connor had made sure to lock the door this time so his parents wouldn't barge in while him and Evan slept.

Connor fell onto his bed, his eyelids growing heavy with exhaustion and he soon fell into a deep slumber with his arm slung lazily over the side of his bed.

Evan slightly brushed Connor's hand with his lips, making sure not to disturb his rest.

Then Evan too had fallen asleep, a content smile on his reddened face.
