The classes keep going on, and at the same time, life goes on. Time flies like a jet, and with the blink of an eye finally, the weekend arrives. Joss and I don't really talk about family matters after that one time he tells me about his family. I also didn't notify him about me helping out my parents on the weekend. We bid our goodbyes and went on our own way. He offered to drop me at home, but I declined it as I felt bad about his gas, and surprisingly, he also agreed in one go. Our direction to home is completely in the opposite direction, so I don't feel good about him dropping me home every day.

At Gawin's home:

" Son, make sure to get a good rest. Tomorrow is going to be a long day." Gawin's dad said before putting the spoonful of soup in his mouth.

" Kub Dad." Gawin response with a nod.

" Eat more. Drink the soup more. It's good for ur bones and muscle." Gawin's mom poured more soup to his bowl.

" Enough, mom. Are u trying to kill me? How can I drink more? I have already drunk a bowl of it." Gawin put out his hand and covered his bowl, which is now halfway filled with soup.

" Make it two, then." Gawin's mom pushed his hands aside and poured in more soup. Now his bowl is full .

" Mom...." Gawin complains.

" Drink it, drink it so u can have a good build like ur friend." Gawin's dad nods his head towards the soup.

" Right. Look at Joss. He's so muscular and well built because he eats well and look at u, so thin. Are u trying to maintain ur figure for the pageant or something?" Gawin's mom said sarcastically.

" Joss is a giant, mom. How can u compare me with him?"

" U are a giant urself. Look at u two. Joss is just slightly taller than u, but u guys are almost the same height even though for some unknown reason, u look comparatively so small near him. So, eat well, or else u won't be able to find any girlfriend here." Gawin's mom continues talking before drinking the soup directly from his bowl. " Um, it's so tasty."

" How does me having a girlfriend and Joss being muscular relate to each other?" Gawin squint his eyes.

" U guys always hang out together. If a girl sees u guys, she will always choose Joss over u." She replied with a straight face.

" It's not always about being muscular, mom."

" It's not, but in most of the cases, it is. Because we women want someone strong, who will be able to protect us and someone with whom we can walk in the night without any fear. Someone with whom we feel protected. Even if it's me, I would definitely choose Joss over u."

" Mom...."

" OK, ok . Son, at least finish the soup. Don't leave it. We are saying this because we want u to be in your best health. We want u to be able to fight off anyone who tries to bully u." Gawin's dad said slowly.

" Right! What if Joss bully u someday? U are done then." Gawin's mom added.

" He won't." Gawin replies, slurping the soup lazily.

" How are u so sure?"

" I just know it. He won't hurt me."

" It's good then. Just stick with him. Never let him leave ur side. Dad can sense the sincerity of him and the loyalty he has for this friendship. Finding someone like him is not easy in today's world. U are a lucky one. Just know that." Gawin's dad said and picked up his plate and bowl to put it in the sink.

" Ur dad's instincts is never wrong ." Gawin's mom smiles before following his husband to the kitchen. Gawin just sit silently processing what his parents just said to him. But the more he think, the more he becomes frustrated with himself.

"Did he cast a spell on them?" Gawin said, looking towards the kitchen .

The next morning :

" Honey, u got the car keys?"

" Yes! Hurry up, hubby!"

" Coming Coming. Where's Win?"

" I'll call him. Gawin! Son! Hurry up! We are late!"

" Coming mom!" Gawin ran down the stairs in a rush.

" Come come."

The three of them hit the road . After an hour long drive, they finally reach the spot.

" It's so early, but the customer has already started coming." Gawin's mom speaks as she drags the bag while Gawin and his dad carry the other bags.

" Mom, leave it there. I'll carry it. U just go inside first." Gawin says to his mother, but she insists.

" Mom....leave it there..."

" U go ahead. I'll just drag it as far as I can." She continues dragging the bag, so Gawin, who was walking behind his father, walks faster ahead of him and keeps the stuff down safely.

When he turn around, his mother came in empty-handed. "Good, u must listen to ur son sometimes, mom."

" What are u talking about?" His mom pushed him aside to unlock the restaurant. He looked at his mother's action and follows his mother inside but suddenly he heard two men laughing loudly as they talked.

" Wait.. this voice.." Gawin steps outside and find his dad coming with Joss. He rubs his eyes as he can't believe his eyes. "Joss!?"

" Son, put down the stuff here." Gawin's dad hinted Joss with his hands.

" Why are u here? Don't tell me u stalked me?" Gawin points his finger towards Joss face. Joss dodge a bit before speaking.

" Not at all. Why would I stalk u?"

" Ur mom and me invited him." Gawin's dad speaks up.

" Huh !?"

" What's the noise? What are u guys doing? Still standing." Gawin's mom complains.

" Mom, why did u and dad invite him over and u didn't even tell me about it."

" What's there to tell? Let me tell u, he must be ur friend but he's also our son so we can invite him whenever we want." Gawin's mom choose the comparatively lightest bag walks inside.

" Right." Joss speaks up from behind.

" U too!" Gawin gives him a side eye and walks inside heavily murmering. " Cute..." Joss smirks.

" Hey, son, don't mind him. He's like that sometimes ." Gawin's dad console Joss but he doesn't know one thing. Joss likes it when Gawin acts this way he finds it cute and only he can see this side of Gawin, which makes him feel somewhat privileged. In fact, he loves it when Gawin behaves like this cause this way he will be able to see the raw and unreserved side of Gawin.

" No, I don't mind at all." Joss replies with a smile.

" Good good . A man must not get mad over something like this, right?"

" Um."

" Let's go inside."
