Ease My Heart

Charlie decided it's better everyone went back to the hotel, when I say everyone; I really mean it.

"Why does this gigantic judgemental demon needs to follow us?" Slither comments as he crosses his arms, glaring at Karma who had shrink a little bit smaller in size due time but still taller than everyone.

"Blueberry sadist, please. You insulting me is just insulting your friend's real looks." Karma giggles as she pokes Slither's shoulder only to have her hand slapped away.

"At least she's considerate of her words and people's feelings." The blue spider barks back, the two seem to be bickering at each other until they enter the hotel.

Charlie sighs as she stands by the reception counter, not seeing Alastor standing there like he usually does. She frown a little bit before Sin runs around, up the stairs and even down the stairs; the kitchen, backroom and around the bar.

Charlie watch as Sin scratches her head in confusion,

"Hey, grumps-" But Husk only glare at her in annoyance, making her shut up. She looks around and notices Niffty that's sweeping the floor nearby, she walks up to her and looks down at the gal.

"Mademoiselle, have you seen Angel?" Sin asks the one-eyed cute monster. Niffty looks up from the ground and up at Sin,

"I been around the hotel and I haven't seen him, well he was in the lobby when I was cleaning the couches." She tells her, Sin purses her lips.

"When was that?" She asks again, Niffty smiles.

"Precisely an hour ago!" She chirps her confirmation.  Sin bites her bottom lip and thanks the small demon which she smile in return.

Angel could just maybe go out with Cherri or something but at a time like this though? Sure he seems like the person that doesn't care but he's still considerate.

The succubus thought of something, she forgot that she sense certain people using her succubus sight. Her vision turns purple as she looks around, not seeing any outlines of Angel through the walls or the ceiling.

He's not in the hotel.

Her vision turns back to normal as she pulls out her phone from her back pocket, scrolling through her contacts and searching up Cherri Bomb's number. She texts the bomb girl and a few minutes later she gets a reply saying she haven't seen Angel for a few days.

Sin sighs as she looks for Angel's contact and gathers up her courage and texting him. She waited and waited, but there's no reply at all.

It's very unlike of Angel to never reply to her messages, negative thoughts start filling her head like water;

What if something happened to him? What if Valentino had walked in and took him back to the studio by force?

"Sinnamon, are you okay?" Charlie's soft voice asks as she holds Sin's shoulder in comfort. The succubus turns to the blonde princess as she slightly smile,

"I'm fine. But, where's Angel? I can't find him anywhere.." Sin says as her shoulders drops, Charlie looks around and Angel is indeed nowhere to be found in the lobby room.

"Cheer up! Maybe he went out to get you ice cream like he usually does!" She tries to comfort the taller girl and it worked. Sin smiles faintly and nods,

"Maybe you're right. Maybe I'm just overthinking stuff, things been hectic." Sin chuckles and so did Charlie, well their attention are caught when Melody's or rather; Karma's voice shouted and followed by Slither's.

"Please, you're so fucking pathetic and probably more sad and such a lowlife than Akira!" Karma shouts, clearly getting irritated. Akira who had done nothing wrong but reading a book, jump from the mentioning his name as he slowly sulk even more into the couch he's sitting on.

"If you're gonna be such a fucking bitch, I'd recommend you get your own fucking body you goddamn disgrace!" The blue spider barks back, Sin had never seen Slither so pissed off before. He's usually a cool, patient and chill type of guy.

"Guys, please stop.." Charlie begs as she walks over to the two demons, Karma only glared at her.

"Maybe you should say that to your goddamn dad!" She says, that's too far. Charlie blinks in bewilderment as she looks at Karma's chained collar. Only Magne families can control it due to Melody still serving under the royal family. The blonde girl narrows her eyebrows as she stood up for herself and walks up to Karma, snatching the end of the collar as she pulls on it.

She hisses painfully as she holds onto the collar, trying to pry it off.

"I'm sorry— I mean— You better listen to me or I won't hesitate to.. uh; pull on this thing even more!" Charlie threatens but Karma only blinks, is this girl ever intimidating? Karma only smiles her sharp rows of teeth,

"Oh, mommy are you a sadist?~" She suddenly groans, Sin chokes as she coughs. Charlie's pale face turns deep red as she stutters.

"Oh fuck I don't know what to feel about that." Sin whispers to herself, the fact that Karma's voice sounded exactly like Melody's did not help. Upon seeing Charlie's red flustered face, Karma bursts out into a hysterical laughter.

"You're just inflicting more pain on Melody, sweetheart." Karma starts getting in Charlie's face as she giggles. "You don't want to be like your father, do you?" She smiles widely, Charlie widens her eyes as her voice gets caught in her throat.

"That's enough, you demon." Vaggie hisses as she points her spear in Karma's face but she doesn't flinch nor move. Karma looks at the spear as she suddenly leans on the blade, making her cheek easily slice through, leaving a deep cut. Blood slowly slips out as Karma smiles.

 

"Are you done, Angel?" Marcy asks with concern, having her hands held together as she hopes for the best.

"I-I guess." He stutters as he walks out from the back of white silky curtains, Marcy gasps as she smiles. He looks exactly like his human self, totally different than how he looked like before. "How do I look?" He asks, smiling slightly. Rosie who walks in through the door with Jay behind her, runs up to Angel and holds up a white hand mirror.

"You look so gorgeous!" Marcy squeals and the male smiles in return.

"Thanks, babe." He thanks her as Jay walks up to the three. "Hey~" Angel cooes towards Jay but he ignores the male.

"Why did you volunteer to help?" Jay asks instead, catching Angel off guard. The male looks around as he crosses his arms, rubbing it in comfort.

"Well- My best friend, Sin was really sad about Mel so I thought maybe I should help." Angel says as he looks down on his arms. "Its the least I could do." The male smiles slightly and Marcy did the same.

"You're a good person, Angel!" She clasps her hands together as she smiles, "Now let's go show Lucifer and shove it in his stupid face!" She cheers and the other three follows.

Angel and Marcy walks over to the edge of heaven, looking down at the high height.

"How am I supposed to get down?" Angel asks as he backs away from the ledge. Marcy smiles as she raises her index finger, big white golden wings stretches from her back like a dream. Angel's eyes widens in shock,

"You have wings of your own! Try thinking of flying, the wind against your face and such!" She advices, Angel looks down on hell as his eyebrows narrows.

'How the hell..' He thought to himself as he closes his eyes and breathes in and focuses. That's when he felt something a little bit heavy on his back and also a high pitched squeal from the girl beside him.

Angel opens his eyes and turns to Marcy who have sparkly eyes,

"Your wings are so pretty!" She compliments, Angel turns his head to look at his wings to see a light pink wings with spots of hot pink that looked like him. There's even various shapes of pink hearts here and there, it reminded him of how he used to look like.

"They're.. beautiful." He manages to say through his shock, Marcy smiles brightly.

"Desho?~" Marcy says, accidentally following how Kana used to say back then. Kana sometimes says some simple words in Japanese and honestly Marcy would say she's lying if she said it actually didn't sound so cute. "Kind of a hard part! Flapping your wings and keeping balance, but sometimes your wings just does it for you." She says as Angel looks at her golden eyes.

"I'll try my best then." He mumbles as he looks back down on hell, gathering his courage as he jumps down. Marcy blinks in surprise for a few seconds before shaking her head and following right after.

Angel is not flying, he's falling, fast. But in mid air, his wings stretches out as it balances his weight and helps him float. He looks around him, mesmerized at the tall buildings of hell. Even though hell is the most worst places you could be, from above it actually looks really pretty with its colours.

"Well, diving straight down was never my way of practicing to fly but hey you made it!" Marcy says, giggling to herself. Angel looks at Marcy, she's so bright and pure. It's honestly hard to believe someone like her can keep someone as violent as Melody at bay, Angel thought as he looks away and makes a face.

Angel looks around and points to Lucifer's manor. Standing tall and big as it's surrounded with big and tall metal gates.

"That's where Lucifer is, are you sure we're going to be okay?" Angel asks, Marcy looks at him with raised eyebrows. "I mean, if we go in there; we're the only two angels and surrounded by these demons, doll." Angel explains, Marcy thought for a second.

"If you're that concerned, I'll call for some backups!" She smiles as she pulls out something from the pocket of her skirt, a white whistle. She brings it up to her lips as she blows into it, a loud ringing sound of the whistle echoes. Angel watch as nothing happens and Marcy putting the whistle back where it came from,

"Uh, babe.." Angel was about to say something but in a split second; three extermination angels appears behind her like bodyguards.

"Hm?" She hums in reply, looking at Angel with such confused innocence it's kind of scary. Angel shakes his head,

"Nevermind-" He cuts himself off short, "Let's just go down there and finish up this mess." He says as Marcy nods, having a serious face on in an instant.

The two flies down alongside the extermination angels and towards the big gates of Lucifer's big palace. When they land on the ground, the gates suddenly opens and invite them towards the building.

Marcy without a care in the world, walks forward and up the stairs that leads to the big doors. Angel follows the girl from behind as the extermination angels that acted as bodyguards tailed behind the two angels.

The doors opens on it's own as a demon is in the middle of the room.

"His Majesty is unavailable at the moment, you may wait in his office." It says, but despite its manner of words. Angel can sense the disgust of venom and hate laced in their voice upon seeing pure blooded angels down here in hell.

"Thank you." Marcy says, giving the demon a small smile that still shows that she's serious and doesn't have time to meddle around. The short angel follows the demon towards the office with Angel tailing behind her.

When they arrive, the demon opens the door as Angel and Marcy walks in. But the demon refuses to let the extermination angels inside.

"It's alright, you three stay out here and protect the door, does that sound good?" Marcy says, giving them a pure smile which the angels nods. Angel and Marcy walks in the office as the demon shuts the door behind them in a slight slam. "Rude." Angel hears Marcy grunts out in annoyance, it sounded kind of funny.

Angel chuckles and right at that moment, a different door in the office opens up as Lucifer walks in. His posture straight, arms behind his back and his precious poison snake apple cane in his hands.

"I did what you wanted, the deal is off." Marcy says as she crosses her arms. Lucifer looks at Angel as his smile grew wider, it looked as if he was about to laugh.

"Alright, a deal is a deal. Let's go see our precious Miss Karma." He says as he shrugs, Marcy smiles in success as she holds in her childish excitement. But Lucifer still held his smile, it seemed as if he had something up his sleeves.

    "Boringggg, boring!" Karma whines as she toss and turn on the couch as if she owned the couch. Leaving less space for others to sit due to her size.

"When the hell do you even freaking leave?" Slither hisses, Karma looks at him and surprisingly didn't mock him back.

"Until all of Melody's anger is eased." She answers as she blows a strand of her black hair out of her face.

"And how do you do that?" Vaggie asks, Karma keeps playing with her hair.

"A lot of ways, killing, eating demons, splattering blood, violence; you get the jizz." She says as if it's something normal, Charlie covers her mouth in horror.

"Is there nothing that doesn't involve someone's life?" The moth demon girl asks again, twirling her hand around. Karma looks at Vaggie with an uninterested look on her face. There is silence for a moment as Karma turns and faces the backrest of the couch.

"Comfort." She whispers, nobody could hear it properly.

"Pardon?" Charlie asks, Karma closes her eyes.

"Comfort. Melody been alone for eternities of her life with no one by her side, she's lonely, cold and broken." Karma says, her voice a bit irked as if she's trying to not sound sad. "But there was never anyone there for us." She mumbles as she sighs, the whole lobby turns quiet.

"Melody wished that she could just really die." Karma says again, everyone's heart felt a pang of sympathy. Charlie was about to say something but the front doors of the hotel bursts open, revealing Marcy and someone behind her.

Sin jumps from the sudden slam and almost tripped down from the high bar stool she's sitting on.

"Alaiyo!" Sin exclaims, Marcy looks at her and smiles brightly. Karma sits up as she looks at Marcy, she freezes.

"Where's Kana?" The angel asks, everyone turns to Karma which Marcy does the same.

The big demon blinks as she only stared back at the angel.

'The only person who truly cared.' Karma thought to herself, visions of Marcy frantically panicking while doing research and looking at how her best friend died. The girl was in distress and couldn't sleep for months after her friend's death was announced in the news paper and the radio.

Marcy's eyes widens as she walks up to Karma with such sympathy and holds up her sharp clawed hands in her small and soft hands.

"Are you okay?" Marcy asks with a smile but Karma doesn't say anything as she only stared.

"Damn she's more terrifying than before." Angel says from the doorway, everyone looks at him. "What?" He says when they stared at him, Sin screams.

"WAIT HOLD ON-" She shouts as she gets off the stool, again; almost tripping. "ARE YOU-??" She asks, speechless as she looks at Angel with a slight blush across her face.

"The one and only, princess!" Angel grins and Sin stood there, shaking. The mafia looking man looks at his best friend, who have a tear in the corner of her lilac coloured eye. "Kitty? You okay?" Angel asks but Sin shakes even more as she tries to wipe bits of tears that are threatening to fall.

"You bitch.." Sin hiccups, making Angel panic. "I looked everywhere for you! You made me panic and worry over nothing!" She shouts, everyone turns to the two. Sin backs up on her heels, ready to run off to hide from everyone but a pair of iron grips on her arms stops her from moving.

"I'm.." Angel starts as Sin looks up at him, "I'm sorry, princess. All I wanted was to cheer you up by helping Melody. Please don't cry, kay?" Angel smiles, the succubus's face turns beet red upon his smile. Without warning, the male pulls the succubus into a soft hug, making her freeze.

"Dad!" Charlie exclaims, making Sin push away from the hug to look at the door. There stood Lucifer, smugly smiling.

"Oh hey it's the clown." Karma snorts at Lucifer, if this was an anime; Lucifer's background would probably be a cracked glass. Angel holds in his laugh as he snorts and breathing in and out.

The king of hell says nothing as he walks over to Karma and Marcy, looking up at the tall demon.

"The deal is off, Miss Karma." Lucifer says, she was confused at first before she looks forward to see Angel completely human and a halo is floating on his head. The fact that Angel and Sin is still holding each other made Karma wanted to tease them but she's too confused at the moment.

"Did he-?" Karma asks and Lucifer nods, the demon turns silent as her mouth is agape.

"As part of the deal of achieving my daughter's dreams, I'll be giving you back what you owned." Lucifer says as he holds his hand up and a soul lights up like fire on his palm. Marcy moves to the side a little as Lucifer pushes it forward into the girl. In an instant, the big collar around her neck turns into the red amulet that looks identical to Marcy's blue ones as her eyes turns lidded and her knees turns weak.

Red sparkly smoke covers the girl as she turns back into Melody and she passes out. Marcy catches her and sets her down on the couch as Lucifer only watched. Sin gets away from Angel as she runs up to Melody, looking down at her and so did Charlie and Vaggie.

Even Husk who were behind the bar and watching the entire thing walks up to see her.

She had turned back to normal but there's a 'stains' of  black on her skin like the skin of Karma's.

Marcy turns to Lucifer who had backed away a little bit due to everyone walking up to the girl.

"Miss Karma no longer serves under the Royal Family."
