Broken Heart and Sanity

"WHAT?!" A shout of surprise could be heard as Marcy who have her arms crossed, nods in confirmation. Jay scratches his head in frustration, "I shouldn't expect less from someone as low as Lucifer." He huffs as he looks around,

"Is it possible for people down in hell to rehabilitate?" Marcy asks while sitting on the edge of her sofa. Jay looks at her and glances at Rosie who is distracting herself with story books. Jay sighs as he silently nods.

"Just like how an angel could be thrown out of heaven, one could be carried up to heaven too." Marcy's eyes lights up in excitement. But she stops when Jay holds up his index finger, "But!" He adds, making Marcy tilt her head. "It's really hard for sinners in hell to be carried up here to heaven because they been tainted for far too long and none of them even wants to rehabilitate. Now I understand why the princess of hell would want to do so, she's a pure soul." Jay smiles and Marcy pouts.

"But the princess can't come up here can she? She's born in hell, though." Marcy says and Jay nods, now that she thinks about it; what if all of her friends ends up in heaven and the princess is left alone down there? The thought of that makes Marcy's soft delicate heart breaks a bit, Charlie was really sweet when she went up to check on Melody.

Marcy groans in frustration as she throws her arms around childishly, getting really annoyed. Jay just watch the girl having a small tantrum, even Rosie turns to the side to look what happened.

"You'll need to talk with Mary first about this though, I'm not in charge of it." Jay reminds the girl as she leans on her hands that are resting on her thighs, squishing her cheeks.

"Would Mary really give me permission though?" She mumbles and Jay laughs, making she look up at him with a pout. "Why are ya laughing?" She asks, Jay holds his hand up as he tries to stop laughing. When he finally do he wipes away a tear,

"Mars, you get everything you want! Even when Virgin Mary says no, you get it in the end. It's because all you do are good for others around you." Jay smiles at his friend and Marcy smiles back,

"Then I'm gonna go ask, I can't just sit around. Kana needs me!" She says as she picks up her violin case and runs towards the door but before she leaves, she turns to Jay. "Oh and one more thing, Ava misses you too." Marcy smiles as she closes the door and runs down the hallway. Jay's eyes widens in shock as he cover his mouth. She is down there, but all it matters is that she's safe and sound.

'It's cold. Harsh and cold. It feels lonely and it feels like a thousand needles are piercing through my skin.' The voice inside her head echoes like she's talking with her voice but her lips are sealed shut. Her body feels numb and cold, she slowly opens her eyes to see nothing but darkness. She tries to get up but her body is frozen in place. She looks around to see that she's on the floor and lying on her side.

"You're here again." She hears a voice, it sounds like its her own voice but its more demonic and dark. She stays quiet as the voice scoffs, "Got nothing to say? Was the last time I came out was too much for you?" The voice laughs, it ticked Melody off but she kept silent.

The sound of someone walking comes up to her as she could see someone's feet. But it's not humane, it's demonic and it's nails are sharp claws. Melody looks up as much as she could to see a demon she knows too well, a demon she sees everytime she looks into the mirror; into her reflection.

It's herself.

It's the real her, not like the one she is right now is fake; she just prefers to look this way because she doesn't like how she looked in her demonic form.

Her body is full dark and black, unlike her; the demon doesn't wear any clothes and her body is just her dark skin. Her horns stick out and sharp, her demonic wings, sharp and long claws. Her hair is still long and silk as it gracefully moves around with her movement.

"Oh, dear; have you forgotten me?" The demon chuckles as she holds her hips and looks down at Melody. "You really shouldn't." She growls and crouch down, grabbing Melody's face harshly; her claws slowly digging into the girl's soft skin.

Her rich red eyes are met with the demon's black and white ones, the same black substance that flows down her face. It feels like she's looking at a mirror, the same demonic circle is on her forehead and five pink stars are across the girl's collarbone.

"Oh look at you, so pathetic and useless. Everyone is hurt because of you, all the pain and suffering; you." She grunts in her face, Melody says nothing; she can't even move her body at all. It's like she's in a sleep paralysis episode. "Maybe Marcy would've been so much better off without you, you're such a burden." She taunts as her other claw slowly reach up to her collarbone, tracing her claw on her skin.

One by one trace of the claw, black substance draws out as it shapes into a star; turning into the pink star.

'No, stop.' Melody begged, but the demon laughs. She knows where this is going and it's not going to be good.

"I'll stop once I get a blissful dinner, Karma." She whispers in her ear as the last star out of five appears, her eyes turns black and white like the demon in front of her and her horns grows out, with that; everything goes black again.

   Charlie walks up the stairs of the hotel with Vaggie following behind her, the door of another hotel room opens as Sin walks out.

"Oh, hey Sinnamon!" Charlie chirps, Sin looks up and smiles back.

"Oh hey Sunshine." She greets, Vaggie looks at the door number as Sin closes the door behind her.

"Isn't this Angel's room?" She asks, Sin's face turns a bit flushed. Charlie looks at the number and nods,

"It sure is!" She confirms, Vaggie looks at Sin.

"What were you doing in his room-" She asks but Sin shakes her head repeatedly.

"It's not like that, Vag!" She blurts out, Vaggie crosses her arms as she grins.

"Is it now? I didn't even say anything yet." She smiles, Charlie looks at the two in confusion.

"I swear!" Sin protests, Vaggie only hummed; as if not believing her. She rolls her eyes and turns to Charlie, "Are you on your way to check up on Mel?" She asks, Charlie smiles and nods. "Cool, let me join you." The three nods as they turn to walk towards the end of the hallway but stops when they hear something weird.

It sounded like a growl, something scratching wood and an animal snarling. The three look at each other in awareness, Vaggie pulls out her spear as she walks in front of the two other girls. The three slowly walk up to the door, Vaggie kicks the door open and right as she did that; something jumps out the window as the glass shattered.

Sin runs up to the bed to see there's nothing there but a mess. The covers are torn up and the mattress and wood had been scratched up with what looked like claws. She looks around to see there's also a big claw mark on the wallpaper as it drags all the way down.

Vaggie and Charlie runs up to the window and look down, there's nothing but pieces of glass all the way down. The two look at each other then nod, knowing what may had happened. Sin is confused as the two girls runs out of the hotel room and all the way down.

"Where are we going?" The Succubus asks as she follows the two girls, Charlie runs up to the lobby's window as she looks out, taking her phone out in the process.

"We forgot that this had happened before." Vaggie says, Sin's eyebrows itches together in confusion. "Back a few years ago, almost just when I had just fallen into hell and met Charlie; Mel was pierced with an angel spear." She recalls as she looks at the spear in her hands, it's the same spear.

"I seriously panicked! So I called my dad and he told me not to worry because he said she won't die." Charlie says as she turns to Sin while calling her dad's number the second time. "But, he said she'll turn into what she really is.." She mumbles the last few words. What she really is?

"..a demon?" Sin adds, remembering Melody's memories. The two girls slowly nods. "But why are you calling Lucifer for this? Wouldn't he make things much more worse?" She asks again as she was about to stop Charlie but she shakes her head.

"Melody's soul is in my dad's hands. This is really hard to say, but.. my dad can control her." She says, gripping her phone and looking away. Hating how that sounded.

"What Charlie is trying to say is that when Mel turns into a demon, she's uncontrollable. She goes out on a rampage due to all the anger that is bottled inside of her but she can't do anything if Lucifer is there." Vaggie explains but before Sin could say anything, Lucifer answers the call.

"Uh, dad! We need your help.."

   A blood curling scream could be heard as another gruesome sound of flesh and bone being chewed satisfied the demon. She licks her lips as her smile grew wider, fresh blood slowly trailing down the corner of her mouth and down on her collarbone where five starts are across it.

She looks down to see a small demon trying to crawl away from her as terror and fear are laced in its eyes. But she only giggles as she walks closer, grabbing onto its leg as it screams and starts to trash around in struggle.

She lifts it above her head as she looks up and opens her mouth insanely big, her sharp razor teeth waiting to bite on the demon as she slowly lowers it down into her mouth and crunch. She gulps down the bits of the demon as she looks around for more little snacks, but before she could do anything;

"Karma!" She hears a familiar voice, her eyebrows narrows as she turns to the side with baring sharp teeth. There stood Lucifer with something gripped in his right hand. She knows what it is as she turns around and ready to run away but Lucifer toss whatever is in his hand up in the air as it turns into a chain, he grabs the end as he throws it forward; twirling around the demon's neck as red puff of smoke appears, turning the chain around her neck into a steel collar.

The demon trashes around as it snarls like an animal, pulling and tugging on the collar but Lucifer grips on the chain and pulls on it; making her screech in pain.

"FUCK YOU, LUCIFER!" The demon snarls, but Lucifer only tug on the collar even more making the demon hiss in pain.

"Watch your language with me, Karma." He warns the bigger demon that can easily squish him under her big claws.

"Sit on a fucking knife you pathetic fallen angel." She growls as she finally calms down and hunches over due to Lucifer pulling the collar alongside with him.

"You're coming with me." He says as he pulls her with him, the demon rolls it's eyes and scoffs.

"No promises that I w-"

"You're not breaking anything in the castle, Karma." Lucifer quickly says before the demon could finish her words.

"You fucking slut." She cusses but hisses right after when he tugs on the collar again.

When they arrived by the castle, there's five demons in the front of the castle entrance. They all have worried expressions and tense energy floating around them. Lucifer smirks, waiting for their reaction when they see how much of a terrifying demon their little friend is.

"Quit tugging on my fucking neck you kinky bastard!" The demon growled when Lucifer pulls on the collar again, everyone turns to them and all of their eyes widens in terror.

"Here we are." Lucifer says as he pulls the collar forward, Karma hisses in pain again as she glares forward. Looking down at the small demons in front of her, knowing damn well she's hovering above them like a god. She pays no attention to them like they're not important to her as she tugs on her collar a little bit to loosen it.

"You're goddamn lucky I'm not a fucking masochist." She growls at the king of hell then turns to the five demons in front of her that can't keep their eyes from her. "Take a damn picture, it'll last longer." She hisses, irritated.

"Are you sure this is Mel?" Sin asks, pointing at the demon as she looks at Charlie. The princess slowly nod, taking the information in herself.

"She wasn't this big before.. I guess the amount of anger she bottles up are how big she is." Charlie says as she frowns at Sin, the succubus says nothing.

"Mel?" The demon snorts as she chuckle, slowly turning into a hysterical laugh. "You mean that stupid waste of a goddamn space? Oh darling she's fucking dead, dead!" The demon laughs as she holds her stomach. Akira steps forward as he shouts,

"What? You can't be kidding!" Karma stops laughing as she looks down at Akira, she reaches forward as the male steps backwards. She grabs his small face as she lifts his face up, looking at his forehead. The second she sees the cursed mark, she grins and chuckle darkly. Karma pushes his face back as Akira stumbles backwards a little bit.

"You don't even care about her, boy." She grins, Akira stays quiet. "You just want your curse to be lifted so you can leave her pathetic self." She chuckles and watch the male glare at her.

"What do you mean that Mel's dead?" Sin asks with furrowed brows. Karma turns her head towards the succubus,

"And why do you care? You left her to die alone and you don't even bother looking for her when you died! You damn well know you've read about her death on the newspaper." Karma laughs, Sin's face turns pale. "Don't try to play games with me, Ava! You never gave a shit about her happiness!"

Lucifer smiles while others (expect Karma) had a horrified look on their face. It's all true, she sees right through their soul and lies. Suddenly a servant walks up to Lucifer and whispers something in his ear as he nods,

"Karma, I'm leaving you here. You better not do anything reckless." He says as he holds up the end of the chain, swinging it to show everyone as he drops it. Karma giggles,

"I'm not promising anything, Luci." She glares at the king of hell as he only smile at her and walks away with the servant.

"Who are you, exactly?" Slither asks, crossing his arms. Karma who was looking at her sharp claws that are covered in dry blood glances at him,

"The name's Karma, pathetic boy." She smiles as she shows her sharp rows of teeth. "I could say I'm the demon inside of your little friend, the one thing she's afraid of becoming and the one thing she been trying to hide away." She tells them, her voice getting darker and demonic each word she says.

"Everything bottled up will burst in the end, dear. You can hold nothing if your heart is broken and has holes in it, can you?" Karma smiles even wider as her eyes travels around the five group of demons. Every each one of them stays quiet, Karma turns to Charlie and Vaggie.

"Ah, isn't these the two demons who pretended to care when they never do?" Karma giggles as she sees Charlie frowns and Vaggie narrows her eyebrows.

"That's not true, I genuinely care for Melody! She been taking care of me ever since I was a child!" Charlie protests, a bit irritated. But Karma only laughs,

"Oh, you're hopeless! You really don't realize you're the main reason why she's stuck here? You don't even see the times Lucifer abused her, darling!" Charlie's eyes widens as Karma walks up and peers down into the princess' face.

"None of you cared when Melody was suffering all alone in the dark."
