Coloured Emotions

Melody slowly wake up and sits upright on the couch as she stretch her stiff arms in the air. The woman rubs the sleepiness from her eyes as she sets her foot on the floor, looking up around the office to make sure she was alone in there which she is. The girl pulls her phone out and checks the time, it's around 6PM.

Seemed like she got the rest she needed, the girl stands up as she notices her hair being a tangled mess. She shrugs as she gets up from the couch and walks over to the window and looks out, there's a lot of demons outside in the city. Well it is almost nighttime and they're more out of their comfort zones at night like zombies. Melody turns away from it and walks over to the table, she pulls one of the drawers to pull out a hair brush that she kept in there for no reason.

The girl pulls off her hair tie off her hair and pulls it over her shoulder, starting to brush it as she sits on the chair by the table. She wonders what the others are doing by now, the girl start humming a song as she listen to her hair being softly brushed. She stopped humming when the door was knocked, it was a normal kind of knock. Not in a melodious tune like how Alastor does,

"Come in." She says as she stops brushing her hair. The door opens and a head peeks in, her soft dark purple ombre hair shining a little from the small source of light from the table. The girl smiles when her eye were met with Melody's, the said girl raise her eyebrows in question. The girl walks in and closes the door behind her with her heel, she walks up to Melody and smiles.

"Hey, hun." She greets, Melody blinks and breaks eye contact with the taller girl.

"Hello." She reply in monotone as she continue to brush her hair,

'Angel was right about how hard it is to strike up a conversation with Melody.' Sin thought to herself as she pulls a chair and sits in front of the black haired girl across the table. They both sat in silence for a second before Sin spoke up, "You seem like you're struggling to brush your hair, can I help you?" She says as she stands up, Melody was about to protest but she did struggled a bit. Usually Charlie or Vaggie would help her but she was too tired to even get out of the office.

Melody nodded as she hands Sin the hair brush, the female takes it from her and walks behind her. She carefully pull her hair from her shoulder and begin brushing through it, gasped a little of how soft it's actually is.

"Wow, your hair is like a doll." She says as she brush it, noticing how her hair smelled like lavender. Melody only hummed, "Why is your hair so long? Don't you ever have the feel to cut it?" Sin asks as she softly brush the girl's hair. There's a pause before the girl fiddles with her thumb,

"I only cut it if I ever find the day I'd want to start a new life. I had planned to cut it if I ever managed to leave my country to go somewhere else with my friends.." She trails off, "But I was gone before it could happen." She adds. Sin was silent for a second, she stopped brushing and suddenly start to tie the girl's hair into a french braid.

"Hey, can I ask you a few questions? You don't have to answer if you don't wanna." She says as Melody wondered what the hell Sin is doing to her hair but she hummed in response. "When did you die and where are you from?"

"1929, the year of the Great Depression in New Orleans, Louisiana. I was originally from Japan, Osaka." Melody says as she fiddles with her glove that is only on her left hand since her right is bandaged. Sin suddenly stops, she looks up at Melody even though she could only see her head.

"W-What is your real name..?" She stutter out, Melody knitted her eyebrows in confusion. Why was Sin stuttering?

"Kana, Kana Katzuki." She finish, Sin stopped completely. It was silent in the room as Sin suddenly sniffled, Melody turns around to see tears welled up in her eye and a bit spilled from the blue orchid. Without warning, Sin hugs the girl tightly making the girl gasp in surprise. She didn't knew why she hugged her but Melody hugged back. For some reason, the hug felt familiar. Sin smelt like flowers, the forest and cookies. The girl pulls away as she holds Melody's shoulders.

"I'm so, so sorry for what I did to you back then! I'm so sorry for leaving you. I missed you so much." She manage to say as she wipes away tears, Melody was confused. Super confused. Sin sees this as she frowned a little then smile sadly. "You don't remember me?" Sin asks as she softly brush her shoulders using her thumbs. Melody was quiet before she looks up, straight into Sin's lilac eye.

"Aratani..?" She whispers out a nickname in Japanese. Sin's eyes widened as she cries again.

"Yes!" She shouts and hugs Melody again. The black haired girl widens her eyes in shock, she immediately hug the girl back tightly. If Melody could cry right now, she would. But she couldn't. They pull away as Melody travels her hands from Sin's shoulders to her arms.

"How did you end up here?" She asks, Sin chuckles awkwardly as she gestures for Melody to turn around so she could finish her hair. She did as signaled as Sin works back on her hair.

"Let me tell you a story then. I was dating someone and he was really abusive but my sad ass didn't realize that, he made me kill a woman that was supposed to pay him. I knew what I was doing was wrong but what could I do? 'Love' blinded me." Sin stops for a second as she finishes Melody's hair. She walks back to her chair and sits down to continue,

"I ended up breaking up with him a few months later, I killed him when he woke up that night. He really fucking deserved that shit. He broke me and fucked me over, making me kill more and more people. Soon, the police caught me and jailed me. But they were so stupid back then, I managed to escape and well — this is where I died." She chuckles as she plays with her curled locks.

"I ran into the woods, thinking it might be my best escape. Luck wasn't on my side when I stumbled upon some cult freaks, they saw me and thought that I was the sacrifice their weird 'god' wanted. But I managed to fool them, saying I'd bring someone else for the sacrifice. Well I did it and somehow joined them, but I really should've taken your advice back then." She sighs as she leans back on her chair.

"Never trust someone so easily. I fucked up and literally got fucked up. They killed me and I ended up here, what a surprise!" She says sarcastically in the end, Melody presses her lips together as her hand softly touches the french braid Sin had did on her hair,

"Judging on how the last time I saw you when we were alive, I'm not even surprised you're a succubus." Melody says as she leans on the table and rests her head on her hand with her elbow on it. Sin smirks,

"Oh?~ How did you know?~" She cooed as she puts an index finger on her cheek. Melody shrugs as she leans on her hand even more, making her cheek squish.

"The second you hugged me, I felt something. You were trying to use your powers on me, sucks to be you it doesn't work on me." Melody grins, her sharp teeth showing. Sin snaps her fingers in disappointment,

"Shucks! I should've known it didn't work, I was just trying to know what you feel." She laughs, Melody couldn't help but smile a little. But then something hit her, Melody looks up at Sin — her rich red orbs piercing. Sin stared back, honestly already being used to her eyes that looked like it was glaring but actually wasn't.

"Aratani.. do you where she is?" Melody asks quietly as she brings her hand off from her head and on the table, hugging her arms — already breaking eye contact. It didn't take long for Sin to know who it is, to her dismay she shook her head — making Melody bite on her tongue.

"Sorry, Melody. Before all of those shit happened, I haven't seen her either. But all I know is, she was alive but it's been a decade. But I doubt she'll ever end up here." She reply quietly, right after Sin finish Melody buries her face in her arms on the table. "Sorry, baby." Sin says as she reach and softly pet the black haired girl on the head.

Suddenly the door opens, Angel pops his head in without even knocking, making the two snap their neck towards him.

"Ah, I thought you're already fuckin' dead." Angel chuckles towards Sin, the said girl leans back from Melody and shook her head towards Angel. Signaling it's not the best time to joke around, he flatten his lips as he shrugs. Sin turns to Melody and softly pet her arm, nodding to her as she gets up and walks out of the room — pulling Angel with her and closing the door behind them.

Sin leans against the wall and sighs, Angel holds his hips with his two lower spider arms and cross his arms with the other two.

"So what happened in there, you took some time and she looked kinda.. sad? Even though her face never really shows anything." Angel says as he snort at his own words. Sin shake her head,

"I just found out something fucking crazy." She says, Angel raises one of his eyebrows in question.

"And that is?" He asks as he leans in closer.

"Melody is someone I'm close to before I was dead, I feel so fucking happy inside." Sin says as she smiles to herself, Angel gasps but it kinda sounded fake.

"So you're saying she's some fucking cool chick?" He asks, Sin nodded.

"I don't know what the fuck you did for her to hate you and threaten you a lot but she's actually someone really kind, nice, soft and actually very sensitive." She says, chuckling — remembering the first time she saw her which was this morning. She seemed like someone completely different.

Without even noticing, Alastor was actually nearby as he walks pass the two and knocks on the office door which Melody lets him in and the door close behind him, before he entered the room. Sin watch him as she saw that he was glancing at her before the door shut, that made her a bit uncomfortable.

"Sensitive? That chick looks like a brick!" Angel laughs and Sin playfully hits his arm but only giggle.

"I don't know what made her that way but hey, try being nice to her. You won't regret it." She smiles, Angel thought for a second.

"I always have been though, kitty!" He laughs again and Sin pouts slightly as the nickname he called her.

"As in your 'always have been' nice is getting into her personal space and being annoying?" She jokes as she crosses her arms, Angel shouts a 'Hey!' as the two laugh with each other. Angel starts to talk to Sin as she listened, but her thoughts were somewhere else. 'I just noticed that Alastor been spending time with Melody quite a lot. For all I know is, that demon shouldn't be trusted no matter what he does.'

"You there, princess?" He asks as he waves a hand in front of her face. Sin blinks and jump, nodding her head.

"Sorry." She says as she smiles slightly, Angel tilt his head.

"Something's on your mind?" He asks as he leans closer on her face to look at her closer which made the girl back up to the wall a little.

"Uh—! No, it's nothing!" She blurt out as her eyes widened. Angel blinks in confusion as he backs away, Sin chuckles awkwardly and mentally curse to herself inside. "I'm— I'm gonna go talk to Vaggie for a moment, see ya!" She says as she slips away and almost ran to the backroom. Angel watch her go as he tilt his head in confusion but he only shrugs his shoulders as he walks to the kitchen to take himself a popsicle.

It's been a few days after he met her. 'Hazbin Hotel, huh?' He thought to himself as he swings his chain around in his right hand, looking at the card he had received from her in the left. In front of him stood the huge building of the hotel, multiple shades of red decorated the walls of the hotel.  He shrugs as he walks up to the door and knocks on it since the doors are closed, he could hear soft shuffling from inside as the door opens up — revealing the same girl he saw the other day. But something was different about her, there was no horns on her head, making her look insanely human. The girl smiles up at him due to him being taller, she opens the door more wider as she steps aside — letting the male in. He enters as the girl closes the door behind the two.

The moment he entered the room, he can see someone behind the bar, the reception counter and someone by the couches. The girl that was behind him walks a bit forward as she softly shouts for a name,

"Charlie! We have a guest!" She calls out, within a second a blonde haired girl runs out from the office room with a big smile on her face. She runs up to the male and greets him,

"Welcome to the Happy Hotel! I'm Charlie and you'll love it here!" She chirp, he nods in greeting.

"Slither Scales, I'm thrilled to see what you have in here for me." He smiles his sharp rows on teeth but it soon disappears. The second he mentioned his name, Angel shots up from the couch — scaring the living wits out of Sin.

"Slyvan?!" He shouts, making Slither turn his head to the voice. His face was still blank as Angel jumps over the couch and runs up to him — attempting to hug him but he dodged, making Melody move to the side too; leaving Angel to fall on the floor.

"Angel." Slither whispers out, Angel stands up as he fixes his hair properly, "Why are you here?" He asks as he raises one of his eyebrows.

"I could ask the same for you, Slyvan." He says as he holds his hips. Charlie travels her eyes from Slither to Angel, over and over again.

"Are you two related?" She asks, Slither turns to Charlie to answer as Angel tries to hug him but Slither held his hand out to keep Angel from reaching him.

"You could say that." Slither says as he glares at Angel, starting to get annoyed.

"He's my kinky cousin!" Angel shouts as he let out an 'oof' the second Slither push his head down to the ground to keep him shut. Sin watches from the couches, her head poking out. Melody blinks as she walks away and stands by the reception counter where Alastor stood. The radio demon could see Melody not liking the lousy people, but her face was still blank. Vaggie walks out from the backroom and towards Charlie.

"Oh, you two are cousins! That's lovely. Would you like to stay here, Slither?" Charlie clasps her hands together. The blue spider nods as he manage to get Angel away and follow Charlie to the reception counter. Alastor hands the key to them,

"I'll escort you to your room." Melody says as Slither picks up the key from the table, he nods with a uninterested look on his face. Charlie smiles and nods to Melody, she walks back into the office with Vaggie following. Melody watch them close the door as she turns to the blue spider, "Follow me." She says as she turns around and walks up the stairs. The spider did as told as the two disappear from sight.

Angel slouches in defeat as he walks back to the couch, sitting back down. Sin picks on her nails as she sat back down, Angel looks over at her.

"Who was that?" Sin asks, glancing over to Angel. He smiles, his sharp teeth showing.

"My cousin, he's really controlling but he's really hard to get to." Angel says as he slouches on the armrest. Sin hums as she glances the last time the two was seen,

"Do you think Melody will be okay with him?" Sin asks, Angel shrugs.

"He may be my cousin, but he still respects people. But he toys with me around which only to make him feel like he's in control." Angel says as he gets up and walks into the kitchen, leaving Sin alone with her thoughts.

Alastor watch the two and Angel leaving. Maybe now it's his chance to talk with Sin.

"Sin, was it?" He calls out from behind the reception counter. Sin looks up from the mentioning of her name,

"Oh? Are you trying to hit on me?~" Sin teases as she grins, Alastor laughs.

"Oh, gumdrop why would I hit a lady?" He says, as if playing dumb. Sin's grin drops as she rolls her eyes. "Anyway, come here. I have something I want to talk to you about." He says, his voice suddenly sounding serious. Sin flatten her lips as she gets up from the couch, walking up to the counter and leans herself on it.

"I've been thinking, what kind of person does Melody likes?"
