Twenty Five
18:55, 30 October 2018*** No One's POV ***
Hadlee's head rolls backwards, hitting against the wall and leaning on it. She lets out a dry cough, dehydrated and starving. The door to her stuffy room opens, revealing a couple men. She groans immediately, knowing what was about to happen.
Walking over, one of the men grab her by her hair, tugging her up and onto her feet as she yelps from the almost familiar pain. Pushing on her head, he leads her out of the room and down the hall, four men joining the two in order to make sure she doesn't get away.
How? She asks herself. How would I possibly get out when I'm this weak?
They push her into a room smaller than her last one, two new men following her inside while the other stand outside of the door for security purposes.
One of the two walks over, pulling a knife from his back pocket and using it to force her onto her knees. As the other men leaves, he unzips his pants, pulling out his hardened member and grabbing her hair to bring her closer.
"No." Hadlee mumbles, going against his force, shaking her head and trying to lean backwards.
"Yo, dickwad, boss wants you downstairs. And you know it's against the rules set for her. Let's go."
He lets go of Hadlee, rolling his eyes, zipping his pants and leaving the room. "The fat slut deserves it."
Hadlee backs herself up as far from the door as possible, dry sobs leaving her as she brings her knees to her chest.
The clearing of a throat causes her to look up, noticing who had stopped the man.
"Ben." she whispers.
He lifts his hand, placing his finger to his lips before pulling out a protein bar and tossing it across the room.
She grabs the bar, looking over to him and thanking him with her eyes.
He licks his lips, closing the door the majority of the way and walking over, giving her his water and letting her take multiple chugs down.
When she starts to feel sick from the amount she's downing, she hands the bottle back, once again thanking him with her eyes.
He nods, looking down at the bar. "Eat it quickly, hide the wrapper."
She nods and he soon leaves, not wanting to get caught helping what many call the enemy.
Once the door is shut and locked, Hadlee weakly rips into the wrapper, eating the bar as quickly yet slowly as she can. Trying to enjoy the food entering her body but being too hungry to care all at the same time. When it's gone, she hides the wrapper in what seems to be a sealed closet, unable to be opened, sliding the wrapper under the door and through the crack.
She gulps it down, biting her lip and leaning her head back against the wall, thankful for Ben.
*** with Justin ***
Entering the house, Justin enters the living room, finding that his old friends are there but not caring at the moment.
"Alright, someone needs to tell me what the hell is going on." he says, looking around at the crew.
"Nothing, Justin." Gordon says, shaking his head.
"Bullshit." Justin exclaims.
"Justin." Rylee starts, leaning forward and sighing.
"No." he growls, glaring at her. "I'm the goddamn leader now. I'm to know everything and I know there's something no one is telling me. I'm not dealing with it anymore."
"Man,"
"I am going to give all of you two hours. If no one comes to me and tells me what the hell is going on or where the hell Hadlee is, because I know it has to do with her, I will do anything and everything to find out. Everyone will be involved and you all can ensure you'll be out of a job." he growls, his jaw clenching as he walks up the stairs and to his room.
Once he has arrived, everyone downstairs looks at one another.
"I still can't believe Justin and Hadlee are like together." Caitlin says after a moment.
"I know. We knew she was dating someone but she never said who and we never realized it was our Justin." Ryan agrees.
"She never told you his name?"
They shrug.
"Maybe." Rebecca states, shrugging. "It just didn't occur to us that it might be Justin."
"Guys, I think we should tell him."
"He's bluffing. He won't get rid of us." William sighs. "I know Justin. He's angry. Regardless, he wouldn't leave."
"I think we should tell him that yes there's something going on but we can't tell him because of Maverick." Finn says, shrugging. "That way Justin knows we're on his side but we didn't give the actual problem away either."
"I don't know guys. Maverick was serious about us not telling him anything."
"Y'know what, fuck Maverick man! I have never fucking seen Justin this way about a girl before and the fact that Maverick can't see how much Justin loves his sister is fucking ridiculous. Mav's a load of shit and we know it." Damon states.
"Maverick's not a piece of shit but the way he's handling Justin and his sister together definitely is." William corrects. "Maverick's good at working with us in the gang. But when it comes to his sister he makes poor decisions and I think we all can agree with that."
"I think he's right." Chaz speaks up, pointing to Finn and catching everyone's attention. "I'm sorry if I'm not in place to speak but it seems like the perfect way to get around Maverick's word. Telling Justin that something's up but that you're not allowed to inform him just tells him that you're on his side but it doesn't lead on to Maverick that you've told him anything."
"He's right." Quinn says, nodding. "I think we should do what Finn suggested."
William sighs. "Fine. But, we're meant to meet Maverick at his house in fifteen minutes. We tell Justin now but tell him to wait twenty minutes before leaving here and going to confront Maverick."
They all nod in agreement and William sighs, calling to Justin from the bottom of the stairs.
Within a minute, Justin enters the room, crossing his arms and looking around at everyone.
"Alright, Justin," William starts, sighing. "Look, we're sorry we've had to do this but we've figured out a small loophole. You just gotta trust us."
Justin nods shortly.
"We can't tell you exactly what's going on. But, we can confirm that there is something and it has to do with Hadlee." William informs him.
Justin gulps. "Why can't you tell me?"
"Maverick." Damon says, stepping forward. "Which reminds me, we've gotta go meet up with him."
"Wait twenty minutes then leave here and come to the house. He's only allowing us to meet there from now on until everything is settled with the current situation."
"You're listening to him when I'm in lead?" Justin asks, giving them a look.
"Justin, you know why." William tells him.
Justin licks his lips before nodding. "Fine. Go."
Everyone stands, including Caitlin, Rebecca, Chaz and Ryan. They all leave without another word, leaving Justin standing in the middle of the room, wondering what the hell to do for the next twenty minutes... then settling on one word. Pace.
