"what?" I looked at her as she held in her smirk.

We walked over to our table as usual, sitting down.

"hear me out. Sunghoon likes you." Jiwoo startled me with her sudden confession. I looked at her as if she was psycho.

"what?!" I repeated myself, staring at her.

"just think about it, he laughed at you and even protected you from that thing." She glared at Heejin, attempting to clutch onto Sunghoon.

"don't overexaggerate it, god, he's too popular for me." I shrugged as she nodded her head in agreement.

"oh look, it's raining." Jiwoo changed the topic, staring out of the windows as heavy rain trickled down.

---

The end of school bell rang loudly, without even caring what the teachers said, the students in a hurry scurried out of the classroom.

I slowly packed my bags, waiting for Jiwoo.

"hey, my dad is picking me up today so I can't walk home with you today." Jiwoo told me, I sighed quietly, I didn't want to walk in the rain with no umbrella alone, but I guess I'll have to.

"oh." I tried my best to not show any disappointment, "okay."

"what? you don't have an umbrella or anything?" She stopped packing her stuff.

I shook my head as she laughed.

"idiot, use your blazer over your head or something." She said as I smiled lightly, she put her bag over her shoulder.

In front of us, pushed Sunghoon and his friends along with Heejin and hers. We walked behind them as we exit the school.

"Sunghoonie~ my dad is picking me up today, can I walk with you tomorrow?" She pleaded, tightening her ponytail even more.

"I have a football game tomorrow." He said, monotone. Heejin whimpered.

"hmmph, fine, I'll see you at the football game then." She waved goodbye as she had got into the car parked on the curb.

Me and Jiwoo both had rolled our eyes, looking at eachother in disgust.

How did Sunghoon endure her for so long?

"Yerin, i'm off, see you tomorrow!!" Jiwoo waved goodbye as I waved back smiling lightly. She got into her car, as I looked at the heavy rain.

If I took my blazer off and put it over my head, I'd get a cold and feel cold. But if I didn't, my hair would get wet and I would still get a cold.

I took my blazer off, sheltering it over my head as I walked out. Most of the boys walking had their hair soaking wet, jeering with eachother.

Despite my effort to keep my hair as dry as possible, the rain still managed to soak it. I groaned, crossing the street.

I sniffled, taking my blazer from above my head, the rain somewhat didn't trickle down. I stopped, looking up and behind me.

Areum, one of Sunghoon's friends held an umbrella above my head.

"oh-!" I nervously laughed.

"hey! I thought you were supposed to be smart, do you not bring an umbrella?" She said, smiling nicely at me.

I took ahold of the umbrella she gave me.

"it's not mine, it's actually Sunghoon's but he's in the store right now and I figured he would understand." Areum grinned. My mouth slightly widened.

"oh, it's okay!! don't worry, you can give it back to him." I tried giving her the umbrella back. I am not about to be in some drama tomorrow.

"don't worry about it, come on! he'll understand, I've done this plenty of times to others." She reassured me, walking away while waving.

"wai-" I tried speaking, but she had already ran back to the store.

I don't think she understood what I meant.

Oh well, I walked home with the umbrella, placing it beside the rack. I stared at it for a while, how would I actually give it him back?

Do I leave it there with a note? Do I hand it to him.

What do I do.
