[55] Please

Kagami watches silently as the boys disappear from view. She doesn't want to let them go, she cares for them.

Apart from Neji, a real piece of work that boy is. Shino, neutral.

"Kagami-chan?" Sakura mutters out, still keeping her eyes trained on Naruto's back.

"What?"

"Do you really think they are going to get Sasuke-kun back?" Sakura turns to the girl this time, anticipating her reply.

'Should I lie?'

"I think it would be possible, but Sasuke is stubborn, I don't think he is going to try and return to us anytime soon." Kagami doesn't look at Sakura as she says this, she just turns and leaves, leaving the girl to her own thoughts.\

She glances to the side quietly, noticing Lee stumbling his way towards the village boundary.

'So he's sneaking out huh?' Kagami smirks as she walks along, 'I guess I don't need to worry so much, Gai has some odd ways of teaching for sure.'

Kagami just continues on her way back towards her home. She is a little worried. This mission is a much higher classification than what they are used to, plus her boyfriend is on the front line, he has to make the decisions for the team. The best guess is that Kagami is worried that she can't do anything, she is useless in this situation. She sighs as she walks slowly into inner Konoha, her hands deep in her pockets. She glances around at the civilians, analysing there smiling and happy demeanours.

She always avoided them for that reason, they are ignorant but not purposely. They are kept in the dark to keep them safe, but then when they are affected by shinobi affairs they don't understand, they can't understand.

She looks away and glances around again, this time absolutely positive about finding her brother.

s.h.o.u.t.

"Kashi-nii!"

The mans eyebrows raise involuntarily as the voice rings out towards him. He is standing around with Kurenai, Asuma and Gai. Kagami had never called him that out of the house are anytime that it wasn't just them. Asuma's eyebrows raise questionably at his friend while Kurenai brings a fist to her mouth to cover a giggle.

"What a youthful name!" Gai glances around looking for who called it.

They watch as Kagami comes racing through the trees and speeds straight towards her brother without slowing down. She smacks right into him, Kakashi lets out a grunt as he is collided into, his arms flying forward and around the girl.

He wraps his arms around the girl and stumbles backwards a little but doesn't fall over, he has become quite accustomed to her antics. She brings her hand up and smacks him right around the head.

"Why. Are. You. Hiding. From. Me?" She smacks him over and over again as he holds her up.

He grunts and grabs her hand, holding it away from him, "What's wrong?"

She narrows her eyes at him before jumping off him, crossing her arms.

"I've been looking for you all day."

"Oh, did you miss me?"

"No, Sasuke has defected from the village."

"Ah," Kakashi scratches the back of his head, suddenly feeling guilty for avoiding his sister.

"And the Hokage has already dispatched a team," Kagami glares heavily at him.

"Oh, that's good isn't it," Kakashi smiles.

"Of genin."

"Not so good."

Kagami sighs and glances at the other jonin around her.

"She has forbidden me from tailing, I can't leave the village." She watches them carefully as she says this, surveying their reactions. "With Orochimaru so close there is a chance he might come after me."

Kakashi's head spins, his sister has never mentioned anything about Orochimaru, "Do you have something to tell me?"

She glances around, "Root collected me from a mission." She sighs, rolling up her sleeve, "I'm a successful experiment."

The four look down at the girl's arm, but above her elbow on the inside of her arm where the numbers 04 branded into her skin. Their eyes widen.

"Kagami . . . ."

The girl pulls her sleeve down, "All I'm saying is I can't help you anymore, and I need you to take care of them. I was put into the genin group to protect them and I can't do that. I will most likely be re-instated into Anbu, from there I will be cut off from you. The team might not be back in time to see me."

"Kagami, calm down, they aren't just going to move you back into Anbu." Kakashi pats the girls head lightly, trying to reassure her.

"Kashi-nii, they might. That's the thing. After that you know what happens, I have to move out and I won't be able to have any contact with any of you. I will be isolated again." She starts to fumble with her shirt, her face going red as she looks to the ground, "What I'm trying to convey is, I'm going to miss our interactions. I need you to tell your teams that. Because I won't be able to."

Asuma sighs and pats the girls head, "Kagami you need to calm down. We understand that you are worried but things don't move that fast. There will be more than a days notice to move you back."

She shakes her head, "You don't understand. It happens in the background. We don't know it's happening until it happens. I was moved between Anbu's housing and teams within 20 minutes Asuma-sensei, I can imagine it happening again. Especially since the village knows more about me than before."

Kurenai suddenly shoves Asuma out of the way, surprising the man with her sudden movement. She wraps her arms tightly around Kagami, surprising everyone in the group.

"Kagami you need to understand that you aren't alone." The woman whispers to her, "This time around there are people who aren't just going to let you get away. Think about all the people you have impacted, Hinata bearly stops talking about you."

Kagami's eyes widen at this.

Gai nods vigorously, "And they have to account for your partner." He flashes her a thumbs up.

The other jonin step back, "Partner . . . ?" They voice their confusion. Suddenly Kurenai's eyes go wide.

"You and Shikamaru are finally together?!" Kurenai squeals loudly, squeezing the girl to death and lifting her off the ground.

Kagami lets out a low choke, letting the woman know she can't breathe. Kurenai drops the girl down, making her stumble back lightly, her brother having to put his hands on her shoulders to steady her. Kakashi turns to Asuma, a dark glint in his eyes as he makes eye contact with him. Asuma shrinks back from him, scared by his friends sudden hate towards him.

"If he hurts Kagami," he wraps his arms around her waist and picks her up, holding her like a teddy bear, "I will hold you accountable."

Asuma gulps and nods quickly, stepping behind Gai slowly. Gai flashes a smile to them and gives him a thumbs up.

"Everything will be okay, you Hatake's worry too much." He drops his hand, "I must go visit Lee now, he is still in hospital."

Kagami glances up at the sensei, "He sneaked out of the village, after the team that's going to save Sasuke."

The man stops, "But he is not recovered! Who is on the team? I must inform them to send Lee back immediately!"

"Naruto, Neji, Choji, Kiba and Shikamaru." Kagami looks down at her fingers again, playing with her brother's which are still interlocked around her waist.

"Ah, the truth comes out, you are scared for Shikamaru." Kurenai smiles softly at the girl.

She narrows her eyes, "And Naruto and Choji. But yes, I'm scared for Shikamaru, the mission is high ranked."

"I must go make sure Lee remembered his medicine!" Gai speeds off towards the hospital, leaving them all to stand in silence.

Kakashi sighs, "C'mon Kagami, let's go talk to the Hokage about this."

She nods but doesn't need too, Kakashi just turns around and Kagami turns with him, her body still being carried by him. But as they turn around they are met with an Anbu.

"Kagami Hatake."

An off-duty Anbu, their uniform still on but their mask strapped around their waist instead of on their face.

"Danzo-sama has requested your presence. Immediately."

Kagami gulps as she looks up at her brother, waiting for him to release her.

"She will go later, we have urgent business to attend too." Kakashi starts to walk forward, Asuma and Kurenai following closely.

But the Anbu steps in front of them, blocking their path.

"He requested your presence immediately." The Anbu narrows his eyes at them, his lips forming a scowl.

"We heard you the first time, and I'm sure you heard when I said, we have something to do first." Kakashi gives the Anbu a small smile before stepping back into his two friends and body flickering away.

The four land in the Hokages office, all of them stumbling backward lightly as they land. Kagami reaches out to grab onto something but just ends up looking like a child wanting to leave their parents arms. The Hokage stares at the scene, a small grin making it to her face as she watches it play out.

"What's going on?" She asks them as they all straighten themselves up and regain balance.

"Ah, I'm here to ask about this mission to retrieve Sasuke." Kakashi walks forward lazily, his sister swaying in his hands as he does.

"There is nothing else I can do, I can't waste more resources on a genin." Tsunade raises her hands, interlocking her fingers in front of her face. "But it may be good for you to follow after them if they don't return soon."

Kakashi nods before looking down at the girl in his arms, he sighs.

"Danzo wants me, I think he has caught on." Kagami interrupts her brother.

Tsunade lets out a disgruntled noise at this.

"Have you told anyone?" Tsunade narrows her eyes, glancing at the jonin in the room.

Kagami shakes her head, "Of course I haven't," she almost scoffs. "But you know he is always watching. I wouldn't be surprised if he has this place bugged. You know about the one he gave me, they are practically the same but I won't be loyal to him."

Kakashi narrows his eyes at the two.

"Kagami, I want you to go after the team saving Sasuke. Don't engage just make sure no one becomes a casualty. Just get out of the village, Hokage's orders. Kakashi, you will go after them if Kagami contacts you. I want you, Asuma, Kurenai, to stay on stand by, we never know how this might go, plus with Naruto one the mission, we have no one to help in case the Kyuubi takes over."

'Masaru,'

'Coming,'

The wolf appears next to them, slightly bigger than the last time she saw him.

"Stay here," Kagami orders him, "If I run into a problem I can contact you through Masaru, there is no delay. I will leave immediately."

The door opens, Danzo strolling in with other village officials behind him. Kakashi immediately places Kagami on her feet, stepping in front of her to hide her behind his larger frame.

"Tsunade-sama, I was starting to worry you were wasting shinobi on the Uchiha." He walks forward slowly, ignoring the others in the room.

"Just spending needed resources, Danzo." She narrows her eyes at him before turning back to the Hatake's.

She nods to them, telling them to leave together to avoid contact with the man. Kakashi places a hand on his sister's shoulder, Asuma and Kurenai placing their hands on his before disappearing, Masaru following after them.

"Go Kagami, be safe." Kakashi nods to the village gate, which stands right in front of them.

She nods to him, "Be here when I come back," Kakashi nods, "Please."
