[40] Cool
04:24, 4 July 2020Kagami lurches forward suddenly, scaring the three sitting with her. Kagami is a bit uneasy for a second before her head can wrap around her situation. Yua just forced her awake. Kagami glances around her grip on her brother's Jonin vest tightening. Her gaze hardens on Gaara, Shukaku's chakra visible to her has her eyes flash silver.
Yua could feel the chakra and jolted her awake because she thought she was in danger. Kagami glances at her side, noticing that she has the attention of Sakura and Shikamaru.
"I felt an odd chakra." She lets go of her brother's vest and concentrates on the fight again, slightly concerned about how badly Gaara could beat the Uchiha in an instant.
Shukaku is restless and Kagami can tell, he is obviously waiting for something but she's not sure what. She sighs and glances around, noticing the Anbu now fidgeting and moving around more.
Soon.
Kagami turns slightly to her brother, who nods ever so slightly to tell her that he understands her. She watches the fight intently, watching to see if the Uchiha boy can actually do any good against the red-head. Her eyes start to close slowly again, forcing her to sleep.
'Yua, what are you doing?'
'Just sleep, you need it.'
Kakashi's eyes widen as his sister falls asleep once again, her head lulling back onto his shoulder. He holds her head lightly, making sure she isn't going to fall in case he needs to move suddenly. His eyes focus on the fight again, hoping that nothing goes wrong.

If it could go wrong, it went wrong. Kagami jolts awake as Sasuke lands a blow on Gaara, causing everyone around her to become more alarmed than they already are. She stands up and stares down at the pulsing chakra coming from Gaara.
"Get ready," she mumbles to the three sitting there, "We need to move, people are going to die."
As if hearing the call, Kagami suddenly feels large stretches of weak chakra moving towards the Hokage mountain.
'Civilians?'
'Correct,'
Kagami snaps back to her brother but freezes when she notices feathers falling from around her. She gives Kakashi a nod, who returns it, before flashing off towards the Hokage, ready to warn him.
She grabs onto the gutter of the roof and pulls herself over, landing swiftly on the tiles before running straight towards the Hokage's seating. She surveys the area quietly as she runs, no one coming in from the outside. Pretty much just the Anbu in the crowd have started attacking the Ninja in the group.
She glances up quickly, noticing Orochimaru and the Hokage jump towards the roof away from her, causing her to narrow her eyes.
'What's he planning?'
Her footsteps hit rhythmically along the tiles, towards the Hokage's seating area. She jumps dangerously, aiming to grab the side of the tower, but is shifted as a large boom ricochet towards her. She twists suddenly against the wind, barely managing to grab the side of the railing. She glances towards the noise and curses.
She watches, wide-eyed as a multi-headed snake summoning crashes its way through the boundary wall and attacks the village.
'Yua, were you right?'
'Pretty much spot on, Sound and Sand Nin are attacking now, that snake needs to die quickly or Konoha isn't going to make it.'
Kagami nods slightly, once again pulling herself up, just in time to see four Nin approaching the Hokage and Orochimaru. She sprints forward, her feet moving faster than she knew possible, jumping again and landing just in time on the third roof, a barrier pulling up immediately after she touches the tiles. She slides along them, her feet bringing up tiles as she stops in front of the Hokage, katana in one hand and kunai in the other.
She breathes heavily, not knowing what will happen next.
"Kagami, you are in danger now." Lord Third seems unnaturally calm about the situation, putting Kagami off guard.
"Hokage-sama, I've been in danger my entire life, this is no different." She crouches further towards the ground, her eyes making contact with Orochimaru's.
Her hairs stand up on the back of her neck and shivers travel down her spine unpleasantly. She can't focus on him for long before she shifts her gaze to the side, surveying the four rookies holding up this barrier. Her mind starts spinning again, wondering how they will get out of this, the only way seems to be to kill Orochimaru on the spot.
But for some reason, Kagami believes it won't be so easy.
"To think I would get to fight you again," Orochimaru chuckles to himself.
"Hm, it doesn't seem I will be able to get out of this easily."
Kagami notices three Anbu land right outside the barrier, crouching to the ground and mumbling to each other.
"You don't really mean that," Orochimaru's mouth stretches into a smirk, "You would find it harder if someone came in and got in the way, right? Lucky for me, Hatake-scum has done just that."
Kagami doesn't waver, she keeps a sharp stance in front of her leader.
The tiles under Orochimaru's feet crack as he shoots forward, the Hokage meeting him.
"Ninja Art: Tile Shuriken!" The tiles around the Hokage snap up but Orochimaru is faster, his tongue turning into a snake to grab the Hokage.
Kagami snaps forward, slicing the snake in half before it reaches the man, but immediately retreats again, not wanting to get in the way.
"The same old weak jutsu hey? Sucks to get old doesn't it Sarutobi-sensei?"
Kagami chuckles as the substitution of the Hokage melts, catching Orochimaru off guard, but he falters, glancing at Kagami for a split second before glancing behind him. The Hokage has the upper hand now.
"Earth Style: Great Mud River!"
Orochimaru goes flying down the tile roof, mud sticking to him.
"Fire Dragon Bomb."
Fire shoots from the Hokage's mouth, covering Orochimaru easily. Kagami suddenly wonders if she is actually needed. A loud shout of pain comes from Orochimaru.
"Very good," the snake chuckles as he appears again from the ground, seemingly slithering out of it. "Really, I've been grossly underestimated."
"Hm, a hateful fellow as usual." the Hokage glares down at his former student.
Kagami almost chuckles at this, finding the drama a little entertaining for once.
"A high-maintenance student is cute right, Sarutobi-sensei?" His tongue falls out of his mouth and flips around, causing Kagami to grimace in disgust. "Isn't it about time we stopped playing around?"
Kagami's stance hardens, ready for whatever comes next, she watches bewildered as the two suddenly change outfits into fighting attire.
'Odd,'
'Indeed,'
The roof shatters around Orochimaru, little bits of tile flying into the sky.
"I won't go easy on you just because you're doddering."
"I look forward to it. Depending on your jutsu, I might have you start over at the Academy!"
This time Kagami can't help it and she lets out a little chuckle, her gaze shifting towards the younger to see his reaction. He doesn't say anything but the distaste in his eyes is noticeable.
The Hokage moves first, attacking Orochimaru. He brings his hands up together, making a jutsu without words. Two massive waves of shuriken zoom towards the snake, but he brings up his hands to make a jutsu of his own. Kagami's eyes widen as coffins appear from the ground, shuriken slamming into them.
The Hokage seems to be focused on hitting the third and final coffin, trying to stop it from opening. Kagami pulls out her own and throws them as well, hoping to be helpful in some way. Yes, she is a magnificent Kunoichi, but she is nothing compared to these two. The best she can do is aid the Hokage when he is close to danger.
Kagami glances around, noticing the Anbu outside of the barrier tensing up when they see the coffins.
"What will you do now, Sarutobi-sensei?" Orochimaru starts to laugh again, this time putting Kagami on edge.
She decides to move forward, standing diagonally to the left and behind to Hokage, he needs space, but she doesn't want to have him injured while she could've done something. She stares at the coffins, awaiting what kind of experiment Orochimaru has waiting inside.
Her eyes go wide as the doors fall off, showing the first and second Hokages standing limply within them. They both look up, stepping slowly out of their enclosed boxes. She steps closer to the Hokage, hoping to be of assistance to him. They step forward slowly, standing up tall next to each other.
'I can only guess, but that third casket would have been . . . Lord Fourth?'
The two un-dead look up and stare at their former student.
"Long time no see. . . Saru."
"Oh, it's you . . . You've gotten old, Sarutobi."
"I never thought I would meet the great brothers in this manner. I am mortified."
Suddenly something smacks Kagami straight in the face. She glances over at the Third then back to the other two. The Third is their student so he wouldn't have to, but would she . . . ?
"Hokage-sama," All three men standing in front of her glance at her, the Third nods slightly, telling her to continue. Kagami gets light butterflies in her stomach under the gaze of all three Hokage's. "Do I need to bow?"
The current Hokage deadpans, sweat dripping down his face as he turns back to his Sensei's with an odd look.
"Pardon her, she was grown up under odd circumstances." Though as he looks closely at the two, he notices that their eyes are solely trained on her.
'So it didn't take them long to notice, hm?' Sarutobi shakes his head, hoping that for the sake of Kagami that they don't mention anything to her.
"Please prepare yourselves." The Thirds eyes narrow, "Lord First Hokage, Lord Second Hokage!"
Kagami stands still, trying to figure out Orochimaru's next move, but the fact that she may be dishonoring her idols is starting to nag her. She has read countless stories about the two and found them both very interesting characters. She wishes she could have met the two during their peak as great shinobi. They have been praised as the best ninja of their time, the white-haired one being the Second and the brown the First. The First has been said to be the best ninja in history. But now she is meeting them as dead people.
Well, it's better than nothing.
"Reanimation, huh?"
Kagami snaps out of it as Lord Second speaks again, directing it towards Orochimaru.
"This youth summoned us with the Forbidden Jutsu, then?" The coffins fall to the side, revealing Orochimaru from behind them, "He's something else."
The Lord Third narrows his eyes at his sensei's, the First doing the same back.
"In that case, Sarutobi, we must fight you."
'So cool.'
