[21] Grudge

13:50, 1 February 2019

"I'm sorry, for the tenth time."

"Forgiveness is not an option within this conversation."

"I don't have an opinion in these decisions."

"You have the right to highly recommend me to not be fit for a mission."

"No one listens to me,"

"Because you never listen to them."

". . . . ,"

A very tan face appears in the face of the two siblings, "HEY! HEY! HEY! Kagami! Why are you angry at Kakashi-sensei? Believe it?"

"Because I want to be," the female sibling stares him down.

"Okay. . . . ?" Naruto runs back to the other two teammates and shakes his head, trying to be secretive about the fact that he's pointing at and yelling about the silver hair siblings. Secretly obvious.

"I'm telling you, there is nothing I could or can do." Kakashi rubs his head slightly, trying desperately to make his sister talk to him.

"And I'm telling you, there is nothing I could and can do if you get attacked on a mission." She hisses up at him before heading over the the genin to order them around for training.

Kakashi sighs heavily before heading over himself.

"Warm up, I'm not going easy today,"

"Do you ever?"

"I'll cut off your tongue,"

"I'm going, look see? I'm running, very fast—away from you."

"Good."

"Believe it."

"Ah-AH! HEY! PUT HIM DOWN! BELIEVE IT!"

'Why is Naruto yelling like an idiot?'

'When is he not?'

'I agree, Kagami, good thinking.'

'You idiot.'

Kagami shakes her head and heads towards Naruto's voice. She turns a sharp corner and comes to a stop just before she hits the back of a blonde haired girl. She walks around her and up to Naruto, staring him down heatedly.

"Stop yelling like a lunatic. It's annoying."

"B-but—"

"N-Naruto was j-just tryi-ing to h-help," Sakura manages to get out a sentence, at least a slightly understandable one.

"Help with what?"

"Him! He has Konohamaru!" Naruto points to the person Kagami walked around before making her way over to the two.

Kagami turns slightly to look at the boy clad in a black jumpsuit before looking back at Naruto and nodding.

"Keep making a ruckus," she jumps away into the distance, practically disappearing into thin air to those around her.

Naruto pulls a weird face before doing exactly what he was told, not because he was told to, just because that's what he does.

Kagami sits silent in the tree to the right of the standoff, one team of her left and the other on her right, both exactly the same difference from the both, meaning she could attack or defend without being dedicated beforehand.

She watches silently as Naruto yells at the two Sand Nin to let the Hokage's grandson go.

'Kid,'

'What Masaru?'

'Can I walk in between the groups and make a big deal out of the situation?'

'No.'

'Can I scare the intruders?'

'Yes. As long as you look rabid.'

'Deal.'

Masaru jumps out from the girl's hiding spot and skids to in front of the Sand Nin. His eyes flow a dark red as he growls at the two siblings.

Kagami takes this as a good distraction to attack, her leg muscles tense and she pushes off the tree branch, but is pushed back by a wall of sand. It wraps around her and drags her back towards the tree. Her eyes widen as she is held next to a boy hanging upside down on the beach she was just observing from.

'Why didn't I feel his presence? YUA! Tell me!'

'Shukaku is inside of him.'

Kagami tenses within the sand, it constricting around her a little.

'What's his plan?'

'He knows I am in you, that's why the boy wants you. Shukaku wants me dead.'

'What do I do?'

'Get away from the boy, and never go near him again.'

Kagami starts to struggle, sweat staring to pour down her temple. She floats towards the ground a little, her head coming in line with the boys. Masaru looks at her, noticing her uncomfort from the link between to two. The boy turns his head to look at her, dead in the eyes.

"Stop struggling, it will get tighter if you don't."

She does stop, only to narrow her eyes at him.

"Let me go, now." She states, while trying to poke a hole in the sand.

Masaru narrows his eyes and backs away from the siblings, retreating next to the two genin, Yua obviously telling him to.

"No, he wants you. He will never let you go." The red head looks away from her and back to his siblings. Just in time to finally make input into the conversation. "Enough, Kankuro."

"G-gaara!"

The red head disappears in a swish of sand, Kagami disappearing with him. He re-appears in between him siblings, Kagami still wrapped in sand and next to him.

Sasuke narrows his eyes at the red head, and then at Kagami.

"Hey! Let Kagami go! Believe it!" Naruto takes a few steps forwards towards them, but is stopped by Sakura grabbing his arm.

"He looks like he might kill you." She whispers to the boy, who immediately starts to swear and steps backward and stands next to his teammates again, scared for both of their compromised safety.

"Coward." Masaru's eyes widen when he realises he said it out loud instead of just between Kagami and himself.

Meanwhile this happened Gaara scared his brother into letting the boy go and into shutting up. The sister seems to keep her distance from everyone, staring at us and only occasionally glancing at her brothers.

"Hey!" Masaru was the one to yell this time. "You heard us! Let her go!"

Gaara ignores them and turns around to walk away, Kagami going with him.

"Hey! What's your name!" The blonde, Temari, turns to look back.

"Me?" She squeaks, pointing at herself.

Sasuke shakes him head, "No, you with the gourd on your back."

Gaara turns around slightly and stares at the dark haired boy, "Gaara of the Sand. Who are you?"

"Sasuke Uchiha."

"Smug bitch face."

'And you did it again, Masaru.'

'Fuck.'

'Fuck indeed.'

Yua snickers lightly but stops when she remembers the problem at hand.

'Kagami, just go with him to wherever he's going, and then when he realises you just try to escape.'

'Hai.'

'I'll tell you when the prime time is,' she clicks her tongue, 'And I will have to notify your brother—'

'Bu—'

'—whether you are angry at him or not. This is for your safety, life or death really.'

'Hai.'
