A warped GPS pulse echoed through empty cyber‑streets. SL4SH should have been standing in the Static Carnival, ready to collect Majin. Instead, he and Fatal Error were ankle‑deep in glitched grass beside a purple Comic Sans sign that read: WELCOME 2 FASTLAND.

1 | Sanic

A blue, crudely drawn blur screeched to a halt before them—stick‑legs, wide eyes, and an unsettlingly confident smile.

SL4SH (muttering): "Oh no." Fatal Error: "Identify." ??? (striking a pose): "I'm SANIC⏤da fastest threre iz."

It took twenty insults, three demonstration laps that fractured nearby geometry, and Fatal's grudging admission ("His speed warps RAM values... impressive") before Sanic joined the roster—pumped, unpredictable, and spelling every third word wrong.

SL4SH logged a private note: This will definitely explode later.

2 | Chaotx

Next stop: Cracked Angel Island, where Chaotx (Knuckles) guarded a ruin of emerald shards. The red echidna variant refused to join without "testing their hands."

A dust‑storm brawl followed—Sanic ricocheting like a ping‑pong ball, while SL4SH and Fatal traded heavy strikes against Chaotx's iron fists. When Chaotx finally relented, SL4SH offered the one thing that swayed him:

SL4SH: "Rewrite hoards prime emerald code. Help us, and they're yours."

Chaotx's stern façade cracked into a grin. Fist‑bump sealed.

3 | Stunky

Their final recruit was an unlikely meme‑lord named Stunky—a blue headgoge reclined at a roadside café dispensing endless chilled milk cartons with a handheld got milk? logo blaster.

He refused any serious talk until everyone sat in silence, sipping. The milk, bizarrely, healed minor data‑fractures and tasted of nostalgia.

Stunky (slurping): "So y'all tryna un‑god some rewrite dude? Count me in, he banned my milk emojis."

SL4SH pinched the bridge of his nose. Ridiculous squad complete.

4 | The Rewritten Arena

Rewrite, deity of continuity edits, presided over a neon coliseum of shifting narration. Before the team could touch him, three custom guardians spawned:

Majin‑R — laughter modulated to 8‑bit shrieks.

Sonic.exe‑R — pixels oozing tar.

Lord X‑R — jaw unhinged, code‑veins pulsing.

The fight was chaos in stereo:

Chaotx absorbed Majin‑R's soundwaves, counter‑punching until laughter shattered.

Fatal Error overloaded Sonic.exe‑R's negative values, peeling him inside out.

SL4SH fenced Lord X‑R while Sanic shot past, yanking tendons like party streamers.

Stunky flash‑flooded the field with milk, short‑circuiting Rewrite's text boxes long enough to drop the guardians in a single splash.

5 | The Joke That Broke the God

Rewrite descended, delighted.

"Welcome, protagonists! Let us edit fate together—"

He froze when Sanic sprinted circles around him, scrawling misspelled taunts (ur not da boss of meee lol) faster than Rewrite could erase.

Milk soaked the god's quills. Stunky slurped loudly. Chaotx cracked his knuckles. SL4SH leveled his blade; Fatal Error flexed glitch‑claws.

Rewrite's eloquence devolved into sputtering fury:

"Cease these—these memetic atrocities!"

He swung reality like a cursor, but Sanic's speed clipped every sentence before it rendered, spraying broken syntax. Stunky's milk shorted out paragraph breaks. Chaotx hammered unfinished plot turns. Fatal spliced root permissions while SL4SH carved the final period.

Rewrite collapsed, drowning in half‑written words.

6 | Words Before Deicide

Stunky (raising a carton): "Got victory?"

Sanic (dabbing mid‑blink): "2 EZ, rewrit boy."

Chaotx (cracking emerald shard): "Lesson: Never mock fists—or milk."

Fatal Error (eyes blazing): "The joke became a guillotine."

SL4SH (tip of sword at the deity's throat): "Commas can't save a false god from the end of his story."

They formed a haphazard circle.

All Five (in giddy‑serious unison): "TO DEICIDE!"

One chorus of blade, fist, glitch, meme, and milk‑blast vaporized Rewrite into a cloud of scrambled letters—gone, unwritten.

7 | Intercut – Closing the Distance

Back in the Prime Timeline, Fatal Error followed a bright, fresh fracture—Rewrite's deletion echoing like a bell. He touched the rift's edge: coordinates, creator ID... two signatures he'd begun to recognize.

Fatal Error (voice low): "Your maze is shrinking, puppet‑masters."

8 | Elsewhere in the Grid

Unaware, Vagrent sketched Timeline 012's initialization rune while Slait calibrated emotional stakes.

Slait: "Another canvas?" Vagrent (smiling): "And another god to fall. Reset the board."

Pixels flared—yet, faintly, a hunter's glitch rippled through their control room... growing louder.
