You watched as Jenna packed her suitcase, your expression a mix of sadness and resignation. You knew this moment was coming, but that didn't make it any easier to deal with. You walked up to Jenna and wrapped your arms around her waist from behind, pressing a kiss to her shoulder. Jenna stopped packing for a moment and leaned back into your embrace, letting out a soft sigh. She closed her eyes and let herself enjoy the comfort and warmth of your touch.

Y/n: "How you feeling, baby?"

Your voice was soft and gentle, not wanting to upset Jenna with your emotions. You knew Jenna was probably feeling a mix of excitement and nerves about going back to Ireland to finish filming, and you didn't want to add any more stress to her already burdened plate.

Jenna: "I'm feeling a bit bittersweet, I guess, I'm excited to be going back to work and seeing everyone again, but I'm also gonna miss you"

You tightened your hold on her, your heart clenching at the note of sadness in her voice. You buried your face in her hair and inhaled deeply, committing her scent to memory.

Y/n: "I'm gonna miss you too, baby, more than you can imagine, but we'll make it work, okay? we'll call and text and FaceTime, and I'll come visit whenever I can"

Jenna nodded, her throat feeling a bit tight with emotion. She turned around in your arms and buried her face in your chest, seeking comfort in your embrace.

Jenna: "But it won't be the same as having you with me, I'm gonna miss holding you, and kissing you, and falling asleep next to you every night"

Y/n: "I know, baby, I know, it's gonna be hard, and we're gonna have tough days, but we'll get through it, okay? we'll stay connected, and we'll make the most of the time we do have together"

Jenna nodded again, her body feeling a bit shaky with emotion. She knew you were right, and that you would both find ways to stay connected while you were apart. But it still didn't make the thought of leaving you feel any less painful.

Jenna: "I guess it won't be that long, right? I mean, we've got some more episodes to film, and then I'll be back in L.A."

You forced a smile, trying to sound optimistic for Jenna's sake. But the thought of being away from her for that long was already making your heart ache.

Y/n: "Yeah, it's not that long and you'll be busy filming, so the time will fly by before you know it"

Jenna nodded, her grip on your shirt tightening. She knew you would make it through this separation, but the thought of it was still making her feel a bit panicky. She buried her face deeper into your chest, her voice becoming a bit choked.

Jenna: "Promise me that nothing will change while I'm gone, okay? promise me that you'll still love me"

Your heart broke at the desperation in Jenna's voice. You pulled her even closer, your own throat feeling tight with emotion. You pressed a soft kiss to the top of her head, your voice filled with tenderness and love.

Y/n: "Baby, nothing could ever change the way I feel about you, nothing, you're a part of me, and I'll love you until the day I die, I promise you that"

Jenna let out a shaky sigh, her body relaxing just a bit at your reassurance. She knew she was being a bit insecure and needy, but she couldn't help it. She had always been a bit insecure about her relationships, and the thought of being away from you for so long was bringing up all of her fears and doubts.

Jenna: "I know it's stupid, but I'm just...I'm just scared that maybe being apart will make us grow apart"

Y/n: "Baby, it's not stupid to feel that way, I understand why you're scared, but you have nothing to worry about, okay? No matter how far apart we are, or how long we're apart, nothing will ever change the way I feel about you"

Jenna: "You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I don't want to lose you"

Y/n: "You'll never lose me, I'll make sure of it"

Jenna: "Promise?"

Y/n: "I pinky dinky promise"

Jenna let out a soft chuckle, her mood noticeably lifting at your playful response. She raised her pinky in the air and hooked it around your, her voice a little more confident now.

Jenna: "Okay, pinky dinky promise, that means you're not allowed to break it, got it?"

You smiled, your heart feeling warm at the sight of Jenna's pinky linked with yours.

Y/n: "I won't break it, I promise...you're stuck with me forever now"

Jenna let out a soft sigh, relaxing further into your arms. She felt reassured now, her fears temporarily silenced by the strength of your connection. She buried her face into your chest once more, her voice sounding a bit sleepy now.

Jenna: "Good, I don't ever wanna be without you"

You felt a wave of tenderness wash over as you held Jenna close. You ran your fingers gently through her hair, feeling content to just hold her and be with her in this moment.

Y/n: "I feel the same way, baby, you're my everything, and I don't ever want to imagine a life without you in it"

Jenna let out a soft hum, her body feeling heavy with exhaustion now. She was tired from packing and from the emotional rollercoaster of the past few days.

Jenna: "Can we lie down for a while? I'm tired, and I just wanna be close to you"

Y/n: "Of course, baby, let's go lay down, we can take a little nap together and just hold each other, and I'll set an alarm so you don't miss your flight, okay?"

Jenna nodded, her eyes already half closed with fatigue. She allowed you to lead her over to the bed, and then snuggled up next to you once you lay down. She wrapped her arms around your waist and buried her head in the crook of your neck, feeling safe and content.

Jenna: "Thank you...love you"

Your heart swelled once more at Jenna's words. You wrapped your arms around her tightly, holding her close and tucking her head under your chin. You closed your eyes and breathed in her scent, committing it to memory.

Y/n: "You're welcome, baby, I love you more, try to get some rest, okay? I'll wake you up before you have to go"

Jenna nodded, her breathing already becoming rhythmic and deep. She nuzzled closer to you, seeking more of your warmth and comfort.

Jenna: "Okay"

She let out one last sleepy sigh and drifted off into a peaceful sleep, reassured by the fact that you were holding her and wouldn't let go. ....... You woke up slowly to the sound of your alarm going off. You groaned softly and opened your eyes, feeling groggy and disoriented for a moment. Then you remembered why you had set the alarm, and a wave of sadness washed over you. You looked down at Jenna, who was still asleep in your arms, her breathing deep and even. Your heart ached at the sight of her, knowing this was the last time you would both sleep together for a while. You reached over and turned off the alarm, then gently shook Jenna's shoulder to wake her up.

Y/n: "Hey, baby, it's time to get up, we gotta get you to the airport"

Jenna stirred sleepily, her eyes fluttering open as she slowly came back to consciousness. She made a small sound of protest, not wanting to leave your arms just yet.

Jenna: "Five more minutes?"

Your heart tugged at Jenna's sleepy and pleading tone. You wanted nothing more than to give in and just hold her for five more minutes. But you knew that if the both of you didn't get up and get moving, Jenna would miss her flight.

Y/n: "I wish I could give you five minutes, baby, but we really need to get going, we can't risk you missing your flight"

Jenna groaned sleepily, still not wanting to leave. But she knew you were right. She reluctantly sat up, rubbing her eyes and trying to shake the grogginess from her body.

Jenna: "Ugh...I don't wanna leave you"

Y/n: "I know, baby, I don't want you to leave either, but we'll text and call each other all the time, okay?"

Jenna: "I know, but it won't be the same as being with you every day...I'm gonna miss you so much"

Y/n: "I'll miss you too baby" ....... You pulled up to the curb outside the airport, your heart already heavy with sadness. You put the car in park and turned to look at Jenna, who was sitting quietly in the passenger seat next to you.

Y/n: "We're here, baby"

You tried to sound cheerful, but your voice was tight with emotion. You didn't want to have to say goodbye to Jenna, even though you knew that you had to. Jenna nodded, her own heart feeling heavy. She unbuckled her seatbelt and turned to face you, her eyes a bit misty.

Jenna: "I guess this is it, huh?"

Y/n: "I guess so"

Jenna let out a long breath. Her hands were clenched tightly in her lap, like she was trying to hold in her emotions. She gazed at you for a long moment, her eyes taking in every detail of your face, as if trying to memorize it.

Y/n: "Let's go love"

Jenna nodded, feeling a lump forming in her throat. She reached over and unlocked her door, opening it and stepping out of the car. You did the same, getting out and moving around to the trunk of the car to help Jenna with her suitcase.

You both stood beside the open trunk, neither of you saying a word. The air between the both of you felt thick and heavy, like you were both trying to hold in your emotions. You wanted nothing more than to pull Jenna into your arms and hold her tight, but you knew that if you did, you wouldn't be able to let go. Jenna finally broke the silence, her voice a bit shaky with emotion.

Jenna: "I guess I should go...my flight leaves soon"

Y/n: "Do you want me to walk you in to security?"

Jenna bit her lip, clearly torn. She wanted to spend as much time with you as possible, but she also knew that saying goodbye would be even harder if you both walked into the airport together.

Jenna: "I...I don't know, part of me wants you to walk me in, but part of me thinks it might be easier if you don't"

Y/n: "It's totally up to you love, I'll respect the decision you take"

Jenna thought for a moment, her emotions warring inside of her. Finally, she made a decision, her voice quiet but firm.

Jenna: "I think...I think maybe it's better if you don't come in, I don't think I can handle saying goodbye to you in the airport, it'll make it too real, too final, I'm afraid I'll break down and not be able to leave"

Your heart ached at Jenna's words, but you nodded in understanding. You knew it was the right decision, even if it hurt like hell.*

Y/n: "Okay, baby, whatever you want, I'll stay here and watch you go in"

Jenna took a deep breath and picked up her suitcase.

Jenna: "I guess I'll go, then"

She began to turn away, her heart feeling like it was being ripped in two. You felt a surge of protectiveness well up in you at the sight of Jenna walking away. You had to fight the urge to call out and pull her back into your arms. Instead, you just swallowed the lump in your throat and watched Jenna walk towards the airport entrance.

Jenna paused at the entrance, turning to look back at you one last time. Her expression was a mix of sadness, love, and a hint of fear. She mouthed "I love you" to you, her eyes filled with all the emotions she couldn't say aloud. Your heart ached as you mouthed "I love you too" back to her. Watching her walk into the airport was torture, but you stayed where you were, watching until Jenna disappeared from sight. You closed the trunk and got inside your car before driving back home.

Jenna is off to Ireland while you're stuck in L.A. but hopefully the time you both spend apart wont be to long....what will happen during your time apart?
