The next morning, you woke up feeling refreshed and ready for the day. You stretched your arms above your head and got out of bed, walking over to the bathroom to get ready for the day. Once you were done, you made your way to the kitchen and poured yourself a cup of coffee. As you sat at the kitchen table, sipping your coffee and scrolling through your phone, Sam walked into the kitchen looking tired.

Sam: "Morning"

She said followed by a yawn as she poured herself a cup of coffee and took a seat across from you.

Y/n: "Mornin', sleep well?"

Sam: "Yeah, I slept fine...you seem to be in a good mood"

Y/n: "I am"

Sam: "That's good"

She chugged her coffee and got up from the table.

Y/n: "You're in a rush"

Sam: "Yes, I gotta get ready and hustle to go make that money, you know"

Y/n: "Speaking of money, do you mind if I borrow twenty bucks? I'm a little short on cash...I'll pay you back soon, I promise"

Sam: "Sure, no problem"

She said as she walked over to the living room to grab her wallet, she had left it on the coffee table before walking back towards you and handing over a twenty-dollar bill.

Y/n: "Thanks Sam, you a lifesaver"

Sam: "You're welcome, just don't make it a habit"

Y/n: "I won't, I promise"

Sam smiled and headed back to her room to get ready for the day. Meanwhile, you finished your coffee and headed out to your parents' house to keep working on finishing your resume with Ji-Su. ....... As you neared your parents' house, you started to feel a little bit nervous. You weren't sure if Ji-Su would be there, and you didn't want to work on your resume alone. However, as you pulled up to the driveway of your parents' house, you saw Ji-Su's car parked in it, which put you at ease. You parked next to her car and got off before walking up to the front door, ringing the doorbell. A moment later the door opened revealing Ji-Su.

Ji-Su: "Hey, you made it, I thought you weren't coming"

Y/n: "Yeah, well I gotta finish the fucking resume so..."

Ji=Su: "Come on in"

You entered the house taking off your shoes before following Ji-Su up to her room, where you both sat down at her desk and got to work on finishing off your resume. You'd discuss your work experience, education, and skills. Ji-Su helped you create a professional-looking resume that was tailored to the types of jobs you wanted. ....... It took a few hours, but by the end of the day, you had a polished resume that you were confident in sending out to potential employers.

Y/n: "Thanks for the help"

Ji-Su: "No problem, I'm happy to help"

Y/n: "Have you talked to your friend's parents if they are hiring or..."

Ji-Su: "Yes, I asked them if they are hiring and they said yes, they need a new manager since their old one quit, I'll give them your resume and see if they will ask you in for an interview, when they hear about you they will definitely want to have you"

Y/n: "Thanks...I hope so"

Ji-Su: You welcome, I'll give you a call as soon as they reach out to me"

You thanked her again and headed back to your car. You couldn't wait to hear back about the potential job lead and get one step closer to starting your career. With a renewed sense of purpose, you hopped into your car and drove off towards your house, ready to take on whatever challenges layed ahead.

Meanwhile back at your place, Sam had just returned from work and was exhausted and ready to relax, so she headed to her bedroom and changed out of her work clothes and into much comfier ones and headed into the living room settling into the couch and turning the tv on. She scrolled through Netflix, looking for something to watch, when suddenly the front door opened, and you walked in.

Sam: "Hey gurl, you're back early...how was your day"

You smiled as you walked over toward her and joined her on the couch.

Y/n: "It was good, I finished my resume, and I might have a possible job lead"

Sam: "That's good news, I'm so happy for you, I'll have my fingers crossed you get that interview"

Y/n: "Thanks, I'm feeling pretty optimistic about this one, maybe things are finally starting to look up for me"

Sam:" That's the spirit"

Y/n: "So...do you have any plans for the rest of today?"

Sam: "Not really, just gonna relax and watch tv while I wait for Alex to come over for game-night"

Y/n: "Fuck, I totally forgot about game-night"

Sam: "Of course you did...we'll need some snacks and drinks"

Y/n: "Sounds like a trip to the grocery store"

Sam: "You read my mind"

You quickly stood up from the couch and grabbed your keys and wallet, both you and Sam then headed out the front and towards your car. You hopped in and drove towards the grocery store. ....... Once at the grocery store you parked your car and got off, Sam following behind as you grabbed a shopping cart and making your way into the store. As you stopped to get some strawberries Sam's phone vibrated in her pocket indicating she had got a message, as she grabbed her phone, she noticed she had gotten a text from Jenna.

Hey Sam How's the planning going?

You made your way back to the cart with the strawberries and saw Sam on her phone which made you curious to know what she was doing.

Y/n: "Who you texting?"

Sam: "Alex"

Y/n: "What he say?"

Sam: "That he's looking forward to game-night and was wondering what snacks to take"

Y/n: "Tell him to take those chili chews peach bites he took last time"

Sam: "Ok"

Sam took that opportunity to reply to Jenna as you continued looking through the aisles.

Sam put her phone away and started helping you with deciding what snacks and drinks to purchase, but as she started helping you, she noticed that you had a bunch of different chip bags, dipping sauces, and candy. You did have a few essentials and groceries for your house which made the shopping cart overflow.

Sam: "You do know this is game-nigh right...I think we have enough chips for the whole neighborhood"

Y/n: "Yeah, but I just want for us to have enough snacks, you know? I remember las time we didn't have enough, and we had to eat fucking stale saltine crackers"

Sam: "I get it, you don't want a repeat of the stale saltine incident, but seriously we don't need to buy the whole chip aisle, let's focus on getting a good variety but maybe not too much, remember I'm paying and don't have that much money"

Y/n: "Fine"

You rolled your eyes at her playfully, before you started to put back some of the chip bags you had picked out, settling on some hot Cheetos, Doritos, and Takis. You also put back dipping sauces and some candy, only keeping the ones you knew were everyone's favorites.

Y/n: "Better?"

Sam: "Much better, now let's focus on the drinks and the rest of our groceries"

Y/n: "You know, I've been wanting a beer and since you're the only one old enough to buy some, I was wondering if you could by me a pack"

Sam: "I would, but-"

You knew Sam would make up a random excuse to not buy you beer, so you gave her puppy eyes and put on a pouty face as you interrupted her.

Y/n: " I reallllyyyyy want a beer pleaaaaaase"

She chuckled and playfully rolled her eyes at you like you had done earlier to her as well.

Sam: "Alright FINE...let's go to the alcohol aisle"

You and Sam headed to the alcohol aisle, Sam noticed a six-pack of your favorite beer, so she grabbed it and added it to the shopping cart.

Sam: "Happy?"

She asked you, still chuckling at your antics. You grinned and nodded at her.

Y/n: "Very"

You both made your way back through the aisles, grabbing all the last-minute items before heading to the register and checking out and heading home where you found Alex already waiting outside as he sat down in the steps of the front porch, you parked your car in the driveway ad got off getting everything down and walking to the front door opening it and allowing everyone in behind you.

Y/n: "Hey, Lex did you bring the chili chews I told Sam to text you to bring"

Alex: "Sam nev-"

Sam made sure you weren't watching them before she signaled to Alex to lie to you about them texting.

Alex: "I mean I forgot to get them, maybe next time tho"

Y/n: "Yeah, maybe"

You put away all the groceries while Sam turned on the Xbox and Alex helped set up the games and board games for the night. You took a seat on the couch next to Alex, holding your can of beer and waiting for Sam to join you both so you could start game-night. After a few seconds more Sam grabbed a soda and joined both Alex and you on the couch.

Sam: "What are we starting with first?"

Y/n: "How about we start with Uno?" Sam: "You're looking to start off with a little drama and competition, I like it"

Y/n: "It wouldn't be game-night without a bit of chaos, right?"

Alex: "Exactly"

Sam shook her head and grabbed the deck of Uno cards.

Sam: "Alright, let's see who's the ultimate Uno master, I'm betting on myself this time"

Alex: "In your dream's babe, you're going down"

Y/n: "Bring it on losers, I've got a good feeling I will win"

Sam shuffled the cards and started dealing them out.

Sam: "Let the game begin"

All of you began playing Uno, enjoying the friendly competition, you'd laugh and joke around as you played, each of you trying to one-up the others. 

Y/n: "Ha! Take that suckers"

You exclaimed as you placed down a plus four card causing Alex to groan loudly. Sam grinned and laid down a reverse card and placed a plus two card causing Alex to roll his eyes at her as he picked up two more cards.

Alex: "This game is unfair; I swear you two are teaming up on me"

Sam: "Oh come on love, you're just a sore loser"

Y/n: "Two against one, we can't be stopped"

Alex: "Alright, I'll admit, you two make a good team, BUT don't get to comfortable, I've got a few tricks up my sleeve"

Sam: "Bring it on, we'll see who's laughing in the end" ....... Y/n: "What the fuck"

Sam: "Bitch what"

As the round kept going Alex placed down multiple plus two and four cards, causing Sam to collect extra cards from the deck of cards. Alex just laughed at both of your reactions.

Alex: "Who's laughing now...not you two that's for sure"

Y/n: "No way this is happening, I refuse to accept this bullshit"

Sam: "Yeah, that's cheating, you can't just pile up all the wild cards like that"

Alex: "Yes, I can there's no rule against it, besides it's just a game, stop being such sore losers"

Y/n: "Sore losers? More like rightfully angry winners...this is rigged"

Sam: "Yeah, there's no way you won fair and square"

Alex: "Ok, okay, fine I'll admit maybe I did have a bit of luck on my side today, but I did not cheat"

Y/n: "A bit? Bitch you had all the luck"

Sam: "Whatever, let's just move on to another game before we end up throwing something"

Y/n: "Agreed"

Alex: "Fine let's play Mario Kart then"

You switched to Mario Kart on the Xbox and started playing. You raced track after track, laughing and jokingly trash-talk to each other as you played. The room filled with the sound of car engines revving and power-ups being used.

Alex: "Take that losers, I'm winning"

Sam: "Ugh, you're the worst, how do you keep winning?"

Y/n: "Maybe because he's a nerd who has way too much free time to practice"

Alex: "Hey, I'll have you know I have a very fulfilling life outside of video games"

Y/n: "Yeah right, we all know you spend more time with controllers than actual people"

Sam: "Settle down child, let's not be to hard on him, at least he's good at something"

Y/n: "So he ain't good in bed?" Sam: "I never said that"

Y/n: "But you thought about it"

Sam: "Shut up and let's keep playing"

Y/n: "Fine"

You continued playing, switching to different games and having fun. You played board games, card games, and even did a dance off in Just Dance. The night went on with friendly competition. You forgot about your worries and just enjoyed the time you spent together with each other.

Sam: "That was a great game-night for the most part"

Alex: "Definitely"

Sam: "Now let's clean up and head to bed"

You all helped clean up the mess you all had made, you said your goodbyes to Alex as Sam walked him out, to properly say goodbye to him before he headed back to his place. You on the other hand were to drunk and lazy to walk over to your room so you just crashed on the couch and promptly fell asleep. 

Once Sam got back inside and saw you peacefully sleeping on the couch, she grabbed some Aspirin and a water bottle, placing them down on the coffee table for you to take in the morning to ease the headache you will have due to the hangover. She got a blanket from the closet and covered you up with it before she headed into her room and called it a night.

You had a successful and fun game-night with your friends, and you're done with your resume; will you get the job lead tho?
