It's been two days since you had dinner with your family and you last talked to Jenna, you still text with her but not as much as you wish to. Though she has been busy with filming, and you've been busy trying to find a job, the main reason which both of you don't talk much is due to the time zone difference.

Sam was going about her day, lounging around your house, when she received a sudden phone call from Jenna.

Hello?

Hey Sam, it's Jenna, listen I need to ask you for a huge favor

Sure, anything for you

Thanks, is Y/n home

No, why?

Good, because I want to throw a surprise birthday party for her, but since I'm away in Ireland, I won't be able to plan it, that's were I need you to come in, can you help me plan the party without her finding out?

Absolutely, just tell me what you have in mind and I'll make it happen

Great, thank you so much Sam, I  knew I could count on you

Of course no problem

Ok, now listen I have a budget that I want you to work within, I'll send it to you right now

On her end of the phone, Jenna opened the messaging app and started typing in the budget for your birthday party before hitting send, sending it to Sam.

Alright I got it

Sam said as she checked her phone opening the text Jenna had sent her, she took a quick look at it which caused her eyes to widen in the process.

Wow, that's a pretty big budget

You think so, it's only $25K

I just want this birthday party to be special, I want Y/n to have the best birthday ever if possible

No doubt it'll be the best birthday she's had so far

I hope so, now listen Emma and I will be flying back a few hours before the party that day, do you think your boyfriend could pick us up from the L.A.X when we arrive?

Thanks, could you also keep Y/n distracted that day?

Sure, I'll have her distracted all day, so she doesn't suspect anything

Soon after the call ended leaving Sam alone with her thoughts, she couldn't believe she would be planning the surprise birthday party for you, but she also couldn't help but think how worth it would be specially when she sees the loo on your face when you realize what was happening. She opened her laptop and started researching ideas for the surprise birthday part. She had a budget, timeline, and a goal in mind which was to make your birthday unforgettable.

As she scrolled through different ideas and options, she wrote notes and mad3e lists of potential party venues, entertainment, decor, food, and drinks, she also made sure to keep track of the budget, keeping in mind to keep costs on budget. Whit all the planning she couldn't help feel nervous about hiding this from you, she didn't want to ruin anything for you, but she knew that you were a smart and observant person, so she knew that she would have to be careful and strategic. With that in mind she started brainstorming distractions to keep you away from the house while she planned the birthday party.

Y/n: "Sam, I'm home"

Sam quickly closed her laptop when she heard you walking down the hallway towards the living room where she was. After a few seconds you arrive at the living room.

Sam: "Hey, gurl welcome back...how was your day?"

Y/n: "Horrible, Ji-Su and I spent hours working on building a resume for me, but we only got halfway through it"

Sam: "Rough day huh? But at least you're making progress, half a resume is better than no resume at all"

Y/n: "That's true"

Sam: "Why don't you take a break and do something fun...we could order some pizza, watch a movie and relax a bit"

Y/n: "I'd like that"

Sam: "Great, pizza it is...what toppings do you want?"

She asked as she reached for her phone and opening the Little Caesars Pizza app.

Y/n: "Just a simple pepperoni pizza"

Sam: "Ok"

She started scrolling through the menu in the app until she found pepperoni pizza, she added it to the cart along with some drinks before clicking in order and entering their address and payment information.

Sam: "Alright, pizza is order, it should be here in about thirty minutes"

Y/n: "Perfect, I'm gonna take a quick shower and change into something mor comfortable and I'll be out in a bit"

Sam: "Ok, take your time...I'll have the movie picked out and ready to go by the time you're done"

Y/n: "Ok"

As you headed to your room and into your bathroom, Sam got to work as she set up for your movie night, she grabbed some blankets and pillows from the closet, then spread them out on the couch to create a cozy nest. Then, she grabbed the remote control and turned the tv on before she clicked on Netflix and began to browse through to find a good movie.

After a few minutes of scrolling, she finally settled on a comedy action movie that she knew you would love. Once the movie was displayed on the tv she went to the kitchen to get some snacks out for both of you to enjoy during the movie. She put some chips and popcorn on a bowl and carried it back to the living room just as you were making your way back into the living room as well.

Sam: "Feel better?"

Y/n: "Yeah"

Sam: "Good...the movie is all queued up on the tv and I grabbed us some snacks as for the pizza it should be here in a few"

Y/n: "Ok"

You walked over towards the couch and took a seat next to Sam as both of you got under the blankets placing the bowl of chips and popcorn between each other.

Sam: "Ready to enjoy the movie and forget about the world for a while?"

Y/n: "Yes"

With that said Sam clicked play and the movie started playing. As the movie played the pizza arrived and you both started eating it as soon as the pizza delivery person left. During the movie both you and Sam laughed at the funny parts, gasped at the tense moments, cried at the sad parts, and enjoyed the overall company of one another.

By the time the movie ended you were both feeling relaxed and content. The pizza box was empty, and the bowl of chips and popcorn was nearly gone.

Y/n: "That was a great movie"

Sam: "Glad you like it...we should make this a regular thing, pizza and movies"

Y/n: "Agreed, I could use more nights like this"

As the night went on you started growing more and more tired. You yawned as you stretched your arms above your head.

Y/n: "I think I'm gonna head to bed soon"

Sam: "Go get some rest, I'll take care of cleaning"

Y/n: "You sure? I don't mind helping"

Sam: "I'm sure"

Y/n: "Thanks, you're the best...see you in the mornin"

Sam: "Sweet dreams"

You smiled and walked off towards your room, feeling a little better than when you had arrived home earlier in the day. You crawled into bed getting under the covers and closing your eyes as you drifted off to sleep. 

Sam cleaned up the living room, then went to her room and got ready for bed. She fell asleep quickly, feeling happy and content from the enjoyable night you both had shared.

Seems like Sam is helping Jenna throw a surprise birthday party for you. Can Sam be successful in keeping you distracted? Or will you find out about it? Most importantly will Jenna make it back to L.A. for your birthday or will she be stuck in Ireland?
