You took your clothes off and got into the shower. The water felt great on your skin, the soapy smell filled your nostrils and you let all your stress and worries just wash away. You wash your body carefully using the body wash that smelled like orange and vanilla you had recently bought.  After a few minutes you finished showering and grabbed a towel from the rack and dried yourself off. Once you were all dry you walked back into your room to change.

You look in the mirror, admiring how well everything goes together and feeling pretty damn good. You head over to the bathroom to brush your hair, wash your teeth, and spray some of your Bleu De Chanel. You look in the mirror once again, liking what you're seeing. You grabbed your phone, wallet and keys as you walked out of your room and headed downstairs and out the front door.

You were humming along to the music that was playing on the radio as you drove, it always helped calm your nerves before any event whether it was dinner with your family or going out with friends. You decide to stop by a flower shop; you parked your car and headed into the shop, taking a deep breath before entering. You looked around at all the flowers and plants, marveling at how vibrant and beautiful they all are.  After a while of looking around you came across a beautiful bouquet of roses and decided to get them, so you grabbed them and got in line to pay for them.

After paying you get back in your car and drive the rest of the way to your parents' house. Once at your parents' house you park your car and get out, carrying the bouquet of roses with you. You head up to the front door and ring the doorbell. A few seconds later you could hear footsteps approaching the door before it opened revealing your sister Ji-Su.

Ji-Su: "Hey y/n/n, are those for me?"

Y/n: "You wish they're actually for mom"

Ji-Su: "Damn...at least mom will love them, come on in and take your shoes off you know mom hates shoes inside the house"

She holds the door open letting you in before walking down the hallway, leading you to the living room where your dad was sitting on the couch watching tv, he looks up when he hears you enter.

Y/n: "Hi dad"

Jim: "Hey, kiddo how's it going?"

Y/n: "Good, where's mom?"

Jim: "She's in the kitchen finishing up dinner"

Y/n: "Ok, thanks"

You walk over to the kitchen. Your mom turns around when she hears you entering.

Kalani: "Oh hey dear, are those for me?"

Y/n: "Hi mom, yes these are for you"

She smiles and walks over to you giving you a quick hug before taking the bouquet from you.

Kalani: "Aw, honey...that's sweet of you, let me put them in water real quick"

Y/n: "Ok"

She takes the flowers and puts them in a vase with water on the kitchen table, then she walks back to the stove and continues cooking while talking with you.

Kalani: "So how is everything, dear?"

Y/n: "Well, I guess"

Kalani: "What do you mean, 'I guess'...Everything ok?"

Y/n: "Yes, just stresses out, that's all"

Kalani: "About what?"

Y/n: "I just can't seem to find a new job"

Kalani: "Oh, honey...I'm so sorry to hear that, but don't worry you'll find one eventually, you just need to keep looking and you know I'll be here to support you, right?"

Y/n: "Yeah, I know...thanks mom"

Kalani: "Of course honey...could you set the table please"

Y/n: "Sure"

You grabbed everything to start setting up the table. Your sister then walks in and offers to help you finish setting up the table, to which you agree to. 

Y/n: "Do you think we can talk privately after dinner just me and you?"

Ji-Su: "Um...sure, I guess, is it something important?"

Y/n: "Kinda...yeah"

Ji-Su: "Ok, fine... I just don't wanna cause any drama or anything but if it's really important, then we can talk after dinner"

Y/n: "Thanks"

Ji-Su: "No problem"

You both finished setting up the table and walked out of the kitchen and going into the living room to talk.

Y/n: "What is mom cooking?"

Ji-Su: "She said she was making Bulgogi and white rice"

Y/n: "That sounds good"

Ji-Su: "Yeah...I'm just glad she's making something different tonight; she usually just makes American food every night"

Y/n: "I'm guessing that the person to blame for that is dad"

Ji-Su: "Yeah, you know he thinks that Korean food is weird or whatever"

Y/n: "Surprisingly he didn't think mom was weird"

Ji-Su: "Well, he thinks mom is different but in a good way...like exotic or something"

Y/n: "Exotic...bitch she ain't a fucking animal"

Ji-Su: "Seriously, he acts like we eat dog or something, it's honestly so annoying"

Y/n: "I eat cat"

Ji-Su: You're joking right? You don't actually eat cat"

Y/n: "I'm not joking, I do eat cat and it's my girlfriends"

She can't help but burst out in laughter.

Ji-Su: "Stop, you're gonna make me choke on my saliva" 

Y/n: "Bet you say that to your boyfriend too"

Ji-Su: "Shut the fuck up"

She shoves you playfully causing you to stop giggling at what you just said.

Y/n: "What was that for?"

Ji-Su: "For being a perv"

Y/n: "I'm not being a perv, I'm just stating facts"

Ji-Su: "Ok, whatever perv...I hate you"

Y/n: '"I love you too idiot"

Ji-Su: "You're such a dick"

Y/n: "Probably cause I have one"

She rolls her eyes at you as she crosses her arms and turns away from you for a moment before turning back around to look at you.

Ji-Su: "Changing topics, you said you had a girlfriend, right?"

Y/n: "Yeah"

Ji-Su: When did that happened?"

Y/n: "A few nights ago"

Ji-Su: Seriously, someone actually agreed to be your girlfriend?"

Y/n: "What does that supposed to mean?"

Ji-Su: You know what it means...you're basically a walking dumpster fire, so I'm surprised someone thought to herself, 'hey, I wanna date her'"

Y/n: "Fuck you"

Ji-Su: "Come on, you know I'm right...seriously tho, is she hot?"

Y/n: "Hell is she hot as fuck"

Ji-Su: "Ans she isn't blind or stupid? That's shocking" 

Y/n: "How?"

Ji-Su: "Because, if she saw you and got to know the real you, she should have run for the hills"

Y/n: "Well, she didn't"

Ji-Su: "Clearly...alright, I'm done being mean to you, so what's her name?"

Y/n: "Jenna"

Ji-Su: "Jenna, that sounds familiar"

Before you could even answer your sister, your mom called everyone from the dining room as she placed the food at the center of the table so that everyone could eat. Once everyone is sitting down at the dining table your mom does a prayer before everyone serves themselves food and starts eating.

Jim: " Lee, I heard that there was a fight the other night over at the club you work at"

Lee: " Yeah, well people get drunk and crazy sometimes"

Jim: "I suppose that's true"

He said while specifically looking at you, this didn't go unnoticed by your sister who quickly grew confused, but she just chooses to ignore Lee's comment and just focused on her food just like everyone else except you.

Y/n: " Why you looking at me like that?"

Lee: "Oh for no reason at all"

Jim: What's going on you two?"

Y/n: "Nothing dad"

Lee: "Go lie to someone else Y/n"

Kalani: "What is he talking about dear"

Lee: "Come on Y/n tell them or I will"

Kalani: "Tell us what?"

Y/n: "Nothing"

Lee: "She was the one who got into the fight at the club"

Kalani: "But she isn't old enough to go into one"

Y/n: "He let me in"

Jim: "Is that true Lee"

Lee: "Yes"

Your sister just sat there still eating as she listened in on the conversation everyone else was having, while she tried to not get involved. 

Jim: "Why would you do that?"

Lee: "Answer him Y/n, he's asking you a question"

Jim: "I was not asking her I was asking you, why would you sneak her into a club knowing she isn't old enough?"

Lee: "Because she asked and I didn't see a reason why not to let her in... she's almost old enough for one anyway, it's not like it's going to kill her or something"

Jim: "That doesn't change the fact that what you did was illegal"

Lee: "I guess not, but are you really mad about it? It's not like anything bad happened"

Jim: "Nothing bad happened, she got into a fight and could have gotten hurt"

Lee: "It was just a few punches, not like she died from it, besides she won the fight"

Your mom looked up at you with a proud look on her face as she heard your brother say you won, she whispered "That's my girl...I raised you right" loud enough so only you could hear what she said. Your dad on the other hand slammed his fist on the table and raised his voice at Lee startling everyone else.

Jim: "I don't care if she did or not, she shouldn't have been in that situation in the first place, damn it Lee what part of that don't you understand"

Lee: "Whatever"

Kalani: "Can you two please stop all this arguing and eat" ....... After dinner everyone cleans the kitchen up before walking to the living room, but you grabbed your sister's arm stopping her from walking.

Ji-Su: "What are you doing?"

Y/n: "I told you I needed to talk to you after dinner"

Ji-Su: "Right, where should we talk then?"

Y/n: "Your room"

Ji-Su: "Ok"

You let go of her arm as you both started walking up the staircase and down the hall to her room. Once in her room she sits on her bed and gestures for you to have a seat too, so you close the door and walk over to seat down next to her.

Y/n: "Ok, so I need your help"

Ji-Su: Help...with what?"

Y/n: "I landed someone at the hospital, and I need to pay for their medical expenses, but the problem is that I don't have enough money to do that so..."

Ji-Su: "You need me to help you pay for it"

Y/n: "No, I just need you to help me find a job as soon as possible"

Ji-Su: "Why me?"

Y/n: "Because, you're the only one I know who has inside info on major companies here because of the parents of your friends"

Ji-Su: "Ok fine, I'll ask my fiends parents if they know of any open positions and let you know"

Y/n: "Thanks"

Ji-Su: Yeah, yeah whatever...what's in it for me tho?"

Y/n: "You can get anything you want as long as I can give it to you?"

Ji-Su: "Anything?"

Y/n: "I know that look and I know I'm going to regret what I'm about to say, but I really need a job so, yes anything"

Ji-Su: "You sure you want to go through with this? There're no take backs"

Y/n: "I'm sure"

Ji-Su: "Ok, there's something I have wanted for a while now"

Y/n: "What?"

Ji-Su: "A mac book pro"

Y/n: "Ok, I'll buy you one"

Ji-Su: "Really?"

Y/n: "Yes, so do we have a deal or nah"

Ji-Su: "Yes, we have a deal"

Y/n: "Ok...I'm leaving now so goodbye"

Ji-Su: "Bye"

You stood up from her and walked out of her room, you headed downstairs and into the living room saying goodbye to your parents and your brother. You walk over to the where you had placed your shoes and grabbed them, as you put them on your mom walks over to you.

Kalani: "Here honey, take some food"

Y/n: "Thanks mom"

Kalani: "You're welcome"

You finished putting on your shoes and grabbed the food from your mom's hand and giving her a quick kiss on the top of her head and then opening the door.

Y/n: "Bye mom"

Kalani: "Bye dear, drive safely and text me the second you get home ok"

Y/n: "Ok"

You leave and get in your car to drive home. As you are driving you think about all the events that happened during dinner but most importantly you can't help but think about Jenna and how you wish she was there with you now. Little did you know that Jenna was thinking the exact same.

Well, dinner with your family was chaos. Will Ji-Su find you a job? and most importantly you miss Jenna.
