"The Scorch"

The door opens, the cold night air instantly hitting you."Come on!" Thomas says as he starts running. The other Gladers follow him, but you hesitate.Teresa looks back at you, "Y/N, we gotta go!""I know, but...I think-" You say, as you look back. Teresa grabs your arm and starts running with you dragging behind.The boys are ahead, and Minho looks back at you and Teresa.The sand makes it difficult to run, but you manage to get far enough away.

You look back over your shoulder and you can see gaurds from WICKED starting to search for you.Thomas pulls everyone inside some shelter."Thomas, what's going on?" You ask.Thomas sighs as he sits down, "There were bodies...strung up to the wall with tubes coming out of them. They were draining them."Everyone looks horrified.Newt looks at you and frowns, "Y/N, what did Janson mean, when he said 'so are you'?"

You look down as you answer, "I used to work for WICKED...I'm slowly getting my memories back and I think...I think me and Janson were together..."Everyone gasps, Teresa is the first to speak, "Like...in a relationship?" she asks with worry. You nod, "I think so..." Thomas narrows his eyes, "So how can we trust you? If you get these feelings back for Janson, then you might betray us." Minho nods, "I hate to say it, but Thomas is right...I mean, he still seems to like you so how long until you like him back...?"Newt shakes his head and puts a hand on your shoulder, "Guys...we don't know that. I mean, it was just a flashback, you might be mistaken. And, those feelings seem gone now."

You smile at Newt and he smiles back, but Winston doesn't seem impressed. "She seemed to have feelings for him at the complex." Winston says with a frown. "I would never betray you guys..." You say, frowning."Oh yeah?" Thomas asks, raising an eyebrow."Everyone, calm down. We've known Y/N for a long while now, she would never betray us." Teresa says, sitting down on the sand."Let's just escape WICKED for now...so, what's the plan Thomas?" Minho asks.Thomas shrugs, "I haven't got a plan...but Janson mentioned a resistance in the mountains...we could go there?"

You slowly start to zone out from the conversation, as your memories start coming back again...

Memory:"Y/N, a word, please?" Comes a voice from behind. You turn around and see Dr Ava Paige walking over to you.You nod, "Sure..."Dr Paige looks serious, "I heard you have a...romance per say with Janson... I don't want you to get distracted, not when we're so close to a cure!"You nod slowly, "I won't get distracted...this cure means everything to me."Dr Paige nods as she walks off. You feel a tap on the shoulder and you turn around to see Janson. He smiles and kisses your forehead playfully,"Hey, Y/N, I hope Dr Paige didn't give you too much trouble..." He says with a chuckle.

"Y/N! What is it now...are you remembering more things?" Minho asks, waving a hand infront of your face. You frown, "I'm sorry...I just...my memories come back to me pretty quickly..."Newt shakes his head, "So, what do you remember?" He asks, as all eyes are on you. "Oh...nothing much." you say, lying quickly, "Just...Dr Paige talking to me about the cure." Thomas narrows his eyes, "So nothing about Janson...?"You shake your head quickly, "No, nothing about Janson."
