Chapter 13

16:15, 5 June 2017

I felt myself gravitate towards SVU again. I got Eli back into school, and I went back to the 1-6, and took the elevator to the SVU floor.

I walked slowly into the room, and I walked between the desk and to Cragen's office. The crew wasn't there, so I knew they were on a case, and I guess right now would be the prefect time to start again. To help them catch another bastard.

I knocked lightly on his door, before he sighed his response and I walked in.

"Hey Don." I smiled, and he looked up.

"Liv! What are you doing here?" He asked, and I sighed.

"Well, I was wondering if you needed another Detective?" I questioned, and he nodded.

"We can always use you, Liv. When are you coming back from London for good?" He questioned.

"Eli and I are back for good."

"What about Elliot?" He questioned.

"We are separated, and I can't go back to working at the firm, since he isn't there anymore. I think I'm ready too, Don."

"There is going to be paperwork, Benson." He replied, and I nodded.

"I know. I'm gonna need clearance from a shrink, and then normal testing."

"Yes, I guess you still remember the drill. I'll get the Chief on the line and see if we can get you back."

Elliot and I didn't address our relationship when he came to town the first time. All he wanted to do was repair his relationship with Eli, and I guess I was okay with it, because then I didn't have to think about it at all. But when the second time came around, Eli was at basketball camp, and we had to figure this out.

"Here." I spoke, as I handed Elliot a beer before sitting down next to him.

"Thanks." He breathed, and then took a long sip of the beer, and sighed.

"You didn't have to come." I stated.

"I did." He replied, and I frowned.

"Why? You didn't want to discuss our marriage last time, so why now?" I asked, and he groaned, before rubbing his hand down his face.

"I wanted to repair my relationship with Eli. He is extremely important to me." He replied.

"I'm not anymore, am I? I'm too damaged." I sighed. I stood and walked into the kitchen, deciding that I needed something stronger than just wine.

"No, you are important to me, Liv. I love you so much." He replied quickly. I heard him walk into the kitchen and came and stood across from me. I leaned against the counter and he looked me over.

"Is this really working? We barely speak, and we only do when it comes to Eli. I want to really be happy. I want you to be happy." I frowned, and he looked up at me.

"Are you seeing someone?" He asked, and I was quick to shake my head.

"No. I'm still married to you. I'm not a slut." I replied, and he rolled his eyes.

"Stop trying to put words in my mouth. You know that I do not think you are a slut. If you found someone that you think you have a future with, I don't blame you."

"You're with someone." I breathed, before pouring more whiskey into my glass.

"I've went out on a few dates." He admitted.

"We never should've gotten married." I whimpered.

"Why the hell not?" He spat.

"Because when we were just friends, when the loss of our child didn't complicate everything, we were happy. We were best friends, and told each other everything, and now that can't happen, because you didn't even tell me you were dating someone." I replied.

"She isn't as important as you are." He admitted, and I pushed my hair back and groaned.

"I can't, El. I want to be happy!" I exclaimed, and Elliot was quick to walk around the counter, and pushed himself into me and kissed me passionately.

This was the first time that we have kissed since the death of our child.

"What?" I breathed.

"Shh." Elliot replied. He kissed me again, and it wasn't long before we walked towards my bedroom, and I didn't know if I was going to regret this or not.

I woke up the next morning, and we were tangled together under the sheets. I was sleeping with my head on his chest, and his arms were wrapped around my body. I took slow breaths, figuring out how to do this.

"Morning." He yawned, and I swallowed hard.

"Hi." I breathed. He kissed the top of my head, and smiled.

"That was amazing." He spoke.

"Yeah." I replied slowly.

"Are you alright?" He asked.

"Yes. Just need to get up." I stated.

"Okay. I'll go make breakfast." He smiled.

As soon as he left the bedroom, I turned on the shower and quickly dialed Amanda's number.

"Hello?" She spoke.

"Amanda, I need help." I spoke quickly.

"What's wrong? Where are you?" She spoke panicked.

"I slept with Elliot last night." I breathed.

"Oh. Um, okay. How do you feel about it?"

"I'm scared, Manda. I have no idea how to feel about this." I sighed.

"Okay, clearly you are scared since you called me Manda. Um, did you want it?"

"I kinda did. I didn't stop him." I breathed.

"Are you just scared that he is going to want to take you two back to London?"

"Sorta." I frowned.

"I doubt that will happen. Come on, Liv. Spend some time with him. He loves you."

"What if something happens?"

"Like you getting pregnant? Wouldn't you like that?"

She spoke those words as tears ran down my cheeks.

"I would love to have a child, I'm just scared." I whimpered.

"Oh, Liv. You are going to be fine! I know it. Just breath and smile." She spoke, and I sniffled.

"Thanks." I breathed.

"Of course. You know that I'd do anything for you. If you need anything, call me."

When Eli got home, he was surprised when he walked in and saw me and his father cuddled together on the couch.

"Liv? Dad?" Eli spoke, and I blushed.

"Hey, bud! How was the camp?" Elliot asked, completely unfazed by this.

"What are you and Liv doing?"

"I'm moving back, Eli. I want to be near you guys."

"Really?" Eli spoke, his eyes lighting up.

"Yeah. We are going to be a family again."
