Chapter 25
09:46, 20 November 2015Taehee's POV
School was horrible.
I spent every moment trying to avoid Jimin as much as I can, but it's not easy when you're in nearly all his classes. It's been over a week since I've last made any contact with him and this meant a week, living with Hoseok, Seokjin and Namjoon. They've been really nice to me, and they're specially careful with bringing up taboo subjects like Jimin.
Taehyung has been furious with Jimin as well but hasn't said a word. On the other hand Jimin doesn't seem to really notice, he's ignoring me and he's spending even more time with Jinae.
I walked down the hallway to my locker. The next period was Chemistry but I grabbed the wrong books.
I opened my locker door and noticed a little green post-it notes. The note read 'go to hell, no one wants you here ugly idiot'.
For the past week I've been getting these notes. Not only that but someone's been been moving my chair and desk all the way to the track field outside which is a pain to bring back inside since I had to climb a set of stairs. Also someone cut up my sports uniform.
It's probably Hani up to no good trouble but it's odd. Hani usually does it up, right in my face just to add to my misery.
Not wanting to bother Taehyung, I kept it to myself.
I crumbled up the note and threw it into the bin. "Tae!" I turned around and waved at Solbi who was approaching me. She wore a frown on her face as she looked at me. Solbi jogged up to me faster and sighed.
"Have you been crying again?" I looked down and gave a slight but hesitant nod.
Right now the only thing was keeping me up and preventing me from crumbling was Taehyung. If he wasn't here then I would probably reverted back to my old self, skipped school and lived in my room.
Solbi hugged me, "are you sure that you don't want V and me to go beat up some Chimchim? Cause both me and V can take a taekwondo class."
I gave a small giggle and shook my head, "I'll get over it somehow." Solbi released me from the hug and linked our arms together instead. "But on a different note, where did you get your eyeliner? It looks amazing today." She asked and stared intensely at my eyes. "Hoseok brought home some freebies from work yesterday."
She gave a small sly giggle, "he definitely likes you!" She teased and swung our linked arms back and forth.
My immediate reaction was a head shake with wide eyes and scowl, "no way! He's madly in love with my childhood friend!"
"Trust me on this one. He's so in love with you~" she cooed, stretching out the you.
My reaction was a simple chuckle and eye roll. "Why are you so interested in my love life? What's going on with you and your future husband?"
Her eyes narrowed my figure and gave out a sound of frustration. I gave a pitiful smile, "let me guess something happened with Daehyun sunbae yesterday?" Solbi unlinked our arms and messed up her hair.
"You have no idea how frustrating it is to be dating a food freak! Last night he paid more attention to his kimchi and rice then he's ever paid to me. And guess what? He said 'I love you' last night but of course not to me but a stupid plate of cheesecake!Sometimes I wonder why I decided to date a childhood friend."
I rolled my eyes and smacked her across the head. "If he heard you say that he would cry."
Solbi shrugged and fixed her messed up hair. Strands of hair was tangled and it looked as if a mini explosion had just happened. "Hey Tae have you ever wanted to be bald just so you don't have to take care of your hair?"
I narrowed my eyes at her and gave her a 'what-heck-are-you-talking-about' face. Her cheeks turned a pale pink.
"Yah Kim Taehee don't embarrass me like that!" She whined and shook me violently. I pushed her face away and rolled my eyes, "personal space please." Solbi smirked and clung onto me even more.
Even though I was pushing her away, she was stuck to me like glue.
Also I had forgotten one key thing; classes had started a few minutes ago and both Solbi and I sounded like we were some girls at a concert.
"Ms Kim and Ms Lee quiet down before you both earn detention for disrupting classes!" Solbi and I flinched as we heard the loud, threatening voice behind us. We looked behind our backs and cracked an innocent smile before dashing off to class.
I sighed in relief as we were far away from the teacher. Solbi grinned and giggled as she noticed how distorted we both looked with our messy hair and beads of sweat forming on our foreheads.
Solbi left me first since she had Korean history.
By the time I got to the chemistry room I noticed one problem right before entering. There was only two free seats left, one next to Jimin and another next to a guy who recently asked me out.
Why am I the one who always has the worst luck?
Skipping is out of the box since I've been skipping classes a lot, and I'm on my final chance before my mum gets called in.
I shut my eyes and breathed in before pushing the door open. I gripped on tightly to my chemistry book as everyone inside the classroom, including Jimin, looked at me. "Sorry I'm late."
Thank god my chemistry teacher was Mr Jang. If anyone is ever late to his classes, he simply smiles and asks them to take a seat.
"It's alright Ms Kim, you can take any seat that you want." He shows his gummy smile and gestured to the two seats. I took a step forward, one seat beside Jimin or the seat beside the creepy guy which is also behind Jimin's seat. I pulled out the seat next to the creepy guy and cringed as the guy smirked.
Nope no way.
I pushed the seat back in and quickly took the seat next to Jimin. As I sat down, Jimin moved his seat away and closer to the window.
Class resumed and I took down notes, trying to ignore the irritation aura coming from Jimin. I wonder if he opened the present after all. I really want to ask but I'll probably just receive a snort back and a hurtful comment.
I secretly pulled out my earphones and turned on some music. I smiled satisfied when F(x)'s ending page played.
These girls are the best.
I continued writing notes down from the board before pulling my lightly curled hair into a ponytail. It was nice that Seokjin was great at doing girl hairstyles (for some reason) and I appreciated his enthusiasm to make my hair all nice.
Jimin's elbow rubbed against mine and I pulled away, remembering the tight grip he had around my wrist when he last touched me.
For the rest of class I continued ignoring the fact Jimin was right next to me and did my work, sloppily. Every time I moved my elbow away, he would follow.
It was as if he was tormenting me.
When the bell rang, I gathered up up my things in one scoop and dashed outside. Now that was a mistake.
I was tripped over by someone right as I got outside.
"Ouch." They said rather mockingly. I frowned at the sound of their voice and looked up but was greeted by not one but two familiar faces.
"Hani? Jinae? You two are working together now?" Hani smirked as Jinae flicked her hair back. "You betcha and we have some real fun install for you coming up so don't think you're off the hook just yet."
Anxiety took over and my body shook. Two of my main enemies are teaming up together now.
They soon left and I watched as people who was leaving the classroom, gave me strange looks. When Jimin walked by, he didn't look remotely worried; he acted as if I wasn't there.
Those dark feelings of wanting to disappear was coming back. The walls that I've built are crumbling again. I'm glad Taehyung's here, he's the only one fixing the walls and keeping them up.
My eyes flickered and Taehyung appeared before me with Jungkook.
"Taehee are you alright?" Taehyung asked as Jungkook lifted me up without ease. I grinned, "why wouldn't I be?"
The two looked at each other before looking back at me. "For one you were sitting on the ground in front of the chemistry room by yourself for an awful long time. You didn't even respond when Jungkook shook you."
Jungkook nodded and checked my forehead. "Jungkook I'm okay." I moved his hand away and pulled my lips into a fake smile.
He hesitantly pulled away. I turned over to Taehyung and picked up a piece of paper that he just dropped. It was an English test.
"2 points? But each question was worth 5 points." I paused and looked at him pitifully. "These are just pity points aren't they...?"
Taehyung blushed and snatched the paper out of my hands. "I'm korean."
I giggled and shrugged, "whatever. When's your re-test? I'll help you study for it. Jungkook, you can come as well, I heard that you got 26 points on your last English quiz from Minji."
Jungkook messed up his hair frustratedly, "Minnie said she wouldn't tell!" In all honesty I kind of shipped the two but it seemed like Jungkook only saw Minji as a childhood friend.
"Okay so that settles it! I'll meet you two later at the dorm!"
I ran off, leaving the two boys in front of the chemistry lab.
I can't give up now.
Not when there's so much more at stake.
