CHAPTER - 9
14:45, 2 September 2025Next day :-
Jungkook got suspended from college for a week and faced a scolding from his father. But what weighed heaviest on his heart wasn’t the punishment—it was the thought of being cut off from Taehyung for an entire week. The emptiness gnawed at him like a living thing, and every moment without seeing him felt unbearable.
A week later :-
Finally, Jungkook returned to college, his heart pounding with anticipation. He expected the familiar sting of Taehyung’s teasing, the sharp words that had somehow become the rhythm of his days—but something had changed.
The halls were eerily quiet when he walked past. Whispers ceased. Eyes darted away. The students who had once mocked him now kept their distance—not out of pity, but fear. Fear of the boy who had once been their easy target, the nerd they had tormented, now unrecognizable in his silent, terrifying strength.
Jungkook didn’t care. None of it mattered. All that existed in his world was Taehyung. His heart lifted at the thought of finally seeing him again… only to be crushed as he realized Taehyung was nowhere to be found. The boy who had filled his life with torment and attention now avoided him completely.
For Taehyung, the sight of Jungkook’s quiet, burning longing made him feel small in ways he couldn’t explain. The memory of that day—Jungkook’s sudden, furious strength—haunted him. Every time he looked at Jungkook now, his pulse quickened, his chest tightened. He missed him terribly, yet pride and confusion made him stay away, leaving him tangled in emotions he’d never felt before.
Jungkook, on the other hand, felt hollow. He had no anchor without Taehyung’s presence. Even Jimin’s efforts to distract him fell flat. His mind, his every thought, was consumed by the boy who now refused to acknowledge him.
A week later :-
Taehyung continued to ignore him, pretending Jungkook didn’t exist. Yet something soft, dangerous, uncharted, was forming in his chest—an unwilling tenderness toward the boy who had been his target and yet captivated him in ways he hated to admit.
Meanwhile, Jungkook’s world unraveled. He completed Taehyung’s homework, bought him juice, approached him countless times—but each gesture was met with indifference. Nothing pierced the wall Taehyung had built. Every rejection carved deeper into Jungkook’s heart, leaving him desperate and trembling for the one person who had always dominated his thoughts.
Time moved forward, and the bell for the third period rang. The teacher instructed the students to open their books. Taehyung opened his book mechanically—and froze.
Inside, a note lay neatly across the page. His eyes scanned the words
"Come to the rooftop during recess. I’ll be waiting for you there."
Curiosity pricked at him, sharp and urgent.
Taehyung's p.o.v - The fucking audacity!
