Chapter 8
09:55, 18 July 2021I panicked a little bit when I realized I was on a stage looking out at over at least 7'000 people, probably more. I looked to my right and saw De La Cruz with his guards just standing there staring. When I looked to my left my family was there. I looked over at Miguel and saw he was moving a microphone closer to the stage but still out of sight and me mouthed "La Llorrona" to me and he grabbed a guitar. I started singing. "Ay, de mí, llorona Llorona de azul celeste" I looked over at Miguel not really sure what I was doing. "Ay, de mí, llorona Llorona de azul celesteY aunque la vida me cueste llorona No dejaré de quererte" I had started walking down the stairs to the actual stage once I saw the guards coming. "No dejaré de quererte" that was then I just started doing anything, I twirled and danced to the music but that was all because I was avoiding the guards "Me subí al pino más alto llorona A ver si te divisaba Me subí al pino más alto llorona A ver si te divisaba" I could feel my hair coming loose from the hairstyle I had done that morning when I woke up. "Como el pino era tierno, llorona Al verme llorar, lloraba Como el pino era tierno, llorona Al verme llorar, lloraba" I was beginning to get nervous but I knew I couldn't stop no matter what. "La pena y la que no es pena llorona Todo es pena para mí La pena y la que no es pena llorona Todo es pena para mí Ayer lloraba por verte llorona Hoy lloro porque te vi Ayer lloraba por verte llorona Hoy lloro porque te vi Ay, de mí, llorona, llorona Llorona de azul celeste." I then started to make my way to Mamá Imelda, Héctor, and Miguel when I felt someone snatch me backwards. I looked and saw De La Cruz who had started singing so I had to sing along with him. "Ay, de mí, llorona, llorona Llorona de azul celeste Y aunque la vida me cueste llorona No dejaré de quererte" he then grabbed my arm harder and started dragging me to the other side of the stage while still dancing. I had stopped singing. "Let go of me!!" I yelled at him. But he just kept singing. Then he held my arms at a weird angle to stop me from reaching to photo. "Y aunque la vida me cueste llorona No dejaré de quererte No dejaré de quererte No dejaré de quererte" I then lifted up my dress a bit and slammed my heel down on this toes and grabbed the photo enjoying hearing him try to play off his painful yelling as singing. "Ay, ay, ay, ¡a-jajaja!"
