Lyra was just chilling on the couch when she got a text message from Elijah, she read it and jumped up from the coach. She started to race towards Dorian's room in panic.

She bursted through the door and awkwardly enough saw Katherine speeding off of Dorian. She covered her eyes and apologised "I am so sorry! But you need to get dressed right now because Elijah is coming over here and if you want to have any chance at your freedom then you at least need to be decent."

Both Katherine and Dorian rushed to get dressed. After getting to know each other, Dorian and Lyra informed Katherine of a plan that would give her her freedom. She agreed to it, after thinking about it and finding no flaws.

The doorbell went off and they all shared looks, Lyra rushed downstairs to open the door.

As she did, it revealed a smiling Elijah. He looked at her with such happiness because ehe missed her, but that smile was wiped away as he read the panic and stress on her face.

"What's wrong Elskan?" Elijah asked as he tried to step in the house, but was unable to do so "Looks like you and Dorian signed the deed, invite me in."

"Before I do, you have to promise me something" Lyra asked as she nervously shuffled her feet.

Elijah frowned at her nervousness "Depends on what you want me to promise?"

"There's someone in this house and you have to promise me not to attack them without listening to us first and hearing them out" Lyra told him with a serious expression.

Elijah squinted his eyes, but hesitantly agreed "I promise, now what's going on?"

Lyra stepped aside and said "Why don't you come in Elijah."

Elijah stepped inside the house, but at the same time Dorian came downstairs with Katherine in tow.

He did a double take, trying to see if it was Katherine or Elena. When he figured out it was Katherine, he tried speeding towards her but Dorian stepped in his way as Katherine's breath hitched. He looked at both of them and demanded "What is the meaning of this?"

"You promised to listen to us and hear her out, go to the living room. We'll talk there" Lyra ordered and pointed towards the living room.

Elijah gave all of them a last glance before walking towards the living room, Lyra followed after him while mouthing to Dorian "Worst timing ever."

He shook his head and held Katherine's hand as they all went to the living room.

Elijah sat on the couch while Lyra sat next to him and Dorian sat opposite of them with Katherine at his side.

Elijah glared at Katherine, who only got closer to Dorian at his look, Lyra hit his knee in warning and he only looked at her before softening his look.

Katherine daringly spoke up "Hello Elijah."

Elijah's jaw clenched as he replied "Hello Katerina, give me one good reason why I should not rip you into pieces for deceiving my mate."

"She didn't deceive me Elijah" Lyra exclaimed as she turned to him and explained "Katherine is Dorian's mate."

Understanding filled Elijah's eyes as he sat back. Dorian continued to explain "You cannot hurt her Elijah, please. You are punishing her for doing something that all of you would have done."

Elijah merely raised an eyebrow and asked "You think I should spare her after her betrayal?"

"Betrayal?" Katherine whispered as she stood up and looked at him "I did not betray you, in fact you betrayed me. I trusted you and your brother, but all you did was lie to me and had the intent to kill me. How does escaping certain death, because you guys wanted to force me into doing a ritual, count as a betrayal?"

Elijah was left speechless at that, he hadn't thought about her perspective. He was so busy with making sure that his brother stayed satisfied that he didn't even think about the torture they put her through.

He looked down and muttered a hesitant "I am sorry, for the pain we put you through. You were looking out for your own survival like we have done for a thousand years, I will let you be, but the same cannot be said for my brother and you know that."

Katherine nodded and smiled. Dorian embraced her into a hug as they both laughed, she was free. Well not free from Klaus, but small steps.

Lyra looked away from them and turned to Elijah as she asked "Did you make a deal with the locked in doppelgänger?"

Elijah looked at her in shock and asked "How did you know that?"

Katherine pulled away from Dorian and looked at him and Lyra in confusion, how did they know so much.

Dorian cleared his throat and moved to Lyra's side as he announced "We can't tell you, trust us for now. When the time comes we'll be able to tell you, but not right now."

Both of the soulmates had doubts, but ignored them because they knew if it endangered them then the duo would tell them.

Katherine sighed and dropped back onto the couch while asking "What is the plan for today?"

Lyra walked over to Elijah and grabbed his hand "there's a full moon, so you need to stay inside tonight. Dorian you need to go and do the power plan, me and Elijah are going to Whittemore college to save a certain augustine vampire."

Elijah stood up while still holding her hand, She had texted him that they were going to save the vampire today and that it would be their first kind off date. He had preferred their date to be a real one, like going on a dinner, but he knew that that would come another day.

"Power plan? Augustine?" Katherine perked up "Augustine is a very dangerous anti vampire organisation, are you sure that's a smart idea? There's been rumours about them that says they found a way to turn our own species against each other."

Lyra's lips twitched upward as Katherine had already began to care about her, that's a good sign. She reassured "We'll be fine, they stand no chance against me and Elijah" She turned to Elijah "Some of the books in this house contain myths that are centuries old, right?"

"Yes, why?" Elijah questioned as he looked at her with furrowed brows.

"Dorian is going to do research on both our powers, we want to know what they are and what we could do" Lyra answered as she let go of his hand and walked towards the bookcase, running her fingers over the books.

Elijah frowned as he said "And why wasn't I informed that you have powers?"

Katherine raised an eyebrow and had a faint smile as she asked "You didn't tell him?"

Dorian shook his head as he explained "It slipped our minds."

Elijah pursed his lips and demanded "Describe your powers. Maybe I know something, considering I am older then most of those books."

Lyra began describing "When I use my powers or get the feeling like I need to use them, it's a warm feeling, a rush of adrenaline and Dorian said that a black sort of mist appears every time I use it."

Elijah shook his head and informed her "In all the years I have lived, I have never heard or seen that before. I know someone who would probably know, but they are rather unable in the moment."

Lyra nodded, she understood who he was talking about. She remembers them from the show to have quite the obsession with witches and magic.

Dorian started to describe his "When I use them, It's like I can feel their lives in my hand. Their blood rushing and their heart beating in my hand, I can feel everything they are feeling."

Elijah's brow lifted as he whispered "A blood witch..."

Katherine looked at him in disbelief "A blood witch? You're not serious they have been extinct for centuries."

Dorian looked in between them as he asked "What's a blood witch?"

"Blood witches existed in the year 1600, they were mostly known for being vampire sidekicks. They had the ability to wield blood like a weapon, controlling the body of any species, altering blood, crushing organs and the most used at that time was healing" Elijah explained as he grabbed a few books.

Katherine continued for him "The reason why they were vampire sidekicks was that they could heal werewolf bites. The werewolves hated them for that and hunted every single one down, they killed every single one except the price for the wolves was high as well. Most of the packs were lost because the vampires took revenge for losing their friends or sidekicks."

Elijah slammed the books down on the table while elaborating "These books will tell you anything you need to know. My sibling and I had a blood witch friend, my youngest brother wrote down anything he could discover about them."

"Perfect!" Lyra smiled and grabbed Elijah's hand again "You two can read through all of these books inside, while we go to Augustine" She emphasised on the 'inside' because Katherine had to stay safe of the full moon.

She dragged Elijah towards the door while grabbing their coats. Dorian tried stopping them "Wait, wait. You said that we should stay inside, what about dinner."

"Order in!" Lyra yelled as she shut the door. Dorian threw his hands up in surrender and turned to Katherine with defeat on his face. She just laughed and shook her head while starting to open the books.

Lyra and Elijah walked to his car and Elijah held the door open while asking "Whittemore college was it?"

"Yep, onward and upward!" She exclaimed and smiled.

Elijah laughed as he shook his head and got into the drivers side of the car.

Elijah opened the door for Lyra and she stepped out as they both examined Whittemore College.

Lyra grabbed his hand and gave him smile. He smiled back and they started to walk towards the entrance, lots of students stared at them as they passed.

Elijah asked "Who are we looking for again?"

"We're going to start with Wes Maxfield. He has the vampire we are saving."

Elijah glared at some of the male students who looked at Lyra while saying "Can I ask why are we saving him?"

"Well he's been in their capture for longer then 60 years, tortured, butchered, poked and prodded all this time. He doesn't deserve that and he could also be a great friend" Lyra admitted as they arrived at the front door.

Elijah held the door open for her and she walked through it. He looked around as students almost ran around them as he asked "How are we supposed to find this Wes?"

She smiled cheekily "Like this" She pulled down her shirt, exposing more cleavage and rearranging her hair. She walked up to a group of teenage boys and they looked at her, more like her boobs, as she asked "Hi! I am totally lost, do you maybe know where Mr. Maxfields class lab is?"

"Yeah, it's the second floor and called the medical home room. I can show you if you want?" a boy that looked like a jock suggested and looked her up and down.

Lyra felt Elijah come up behind her and grip her waist possessively as he shot them down "Sorry 'dudes' but my girlfriend and I really should get going."

Their faces fell and Elijah smirked a little as he led them away and towards the stairs.

Lyra laughed and noted "Possesive much?"

"I have every right to be. Fix your shirt or I will do something that make you behave" He warned and they both walked up the stairs.

She quickly fixed her shirt while her face flushed.

Dorian sat back and sighed while rubbing his face, they have been reading through every single book without a break.

He turned to Katherine and asked "I am getting hungry, should I order some food and go get it from the grill?"

Katherine hummed and mischievously smiled as she put a hand on his chest "I am hungry, but for something else..."

Dorian smiled and put his hand on hers while making eye contact "I am being serious."

"So am I" She countered and straddled his lap.

He sat up straighter as he looked up at her, gripping her waist as he spoke "I normally would gladly satisfy your hunger, but my stomach is killing me."

She pouted and complained "I can't go with you if you leave."

"Why not?" Dorian tilted his head and looked up at her with his gorgeous eyes.

Katherine game him a look as she reminded him "Uhh remember full moon and let's not forget the Scooby gang."

"Fuck them" He bluntly told her "They won't hurt you, no-one will hurt you as long as I am by your side."

She ran her hand through his hair and asked him "You promise?"

"Promise" he smiled as he put a hand behind her neck and pulled her into a kiss.

Katherine smiled into the kiss as butterflies erupted in her stomach, this was what real love felt like.

Lyra and Elijah quickly made it in front of the medical home room and before they entered, she turned to him and ordered "Bite me."

Elijah looked at her shocked "What?"

"Bite. Me" She ordered, but he shook his head and she explained "It will distract him enough so you can sneak up on him, now bite me!"

Elijah looked around and saw that the hallway was empty as everyone was now in class, he pushed her up against the wall and started to kiss her neck.

Lyra's breath hitched as his lips gently laid kisses and his teeth grazed her neck, he gently sunk his teeth into her making sure to only suck a bit of blood before pulling away with one of the greatest struggles in his life.

Her blood was almost euphoric to him. It tasted like strawberries with a hint of honey, it's a combination he never thought that he would love.

Elijah's bite felt way different then the time Trevor drank from her, it was a nice and pleasurable feeling as her entire body heated up at the action. When he pulled away, she had the nagging feeling to whine. His bite became a new drug for her and she wanted more, but knew that it would be dangerous territory.

After swallowing and clearing her eyesight, Lyra raised a hand to her neck and spread some of the blood across her neck.

She gave him a nod before rushing in the medical home room while yelling, she spotted Wet Maxfield instantly as he turned to her. She ran up to him as Elijah sneaked into the room, she cried out to Maxfield "Help me! T- there was s-some kind of M-monster outside! It bit me!"

Maxfield grabbed her shoulder and tried to sooth "Hey hey, everything will be alright. You are okay, it can't harm you now and I'll take care of it. May I know your name?"

He led her towards a chair and she sat down while still acting distressed "Lyra, Lyra Hawthrone. What was that thing?"

"That was a vampire" he 'informed' her "I'll take care of it, you'll be alright."

Lyra dropped her acting and told him in a cold tone "But you won't be."

He looked at her confused, until Elijah came behind him and hit him on the head with a silver tray, knocking him out.

"Nice" Lyra complimented as she got off the chair and went to walk away.

Elijah stopped her and asked "Do I need to heal you?"

She shook her head and revealed her neck "Don't worry, its already healed. Mysterious magic and all."

Elijah nodded and they moved to a hidden away room, where they found a barely conscious Enzo. He looked up at them and muttered "Oh great, let me guess new members coming to see a subject?"

Lyra turned to Elijah and whispered "Go tie Maxfield up, I'll talk to him" Elijah hesitated as Enzo was still a dangerous vampire, seeing his hesitation Lyra reassured "I'll be fine, go."

When Elijah left the room, Lyra turned to Enzo and smiled "Hello Lorzenzo, how about getting some freedom?"

He stared up at her in confusion "Is this another mental trick that you have somehow made up?"

She smiled and unlocked the bounds that held his feet "Nope and as a present, we have a tied up scientist that you loath so much waiting for you."

His eyes filled with hope as he asked "Are you an guardian angel?"

She laughed as she started to unlock his hands "If anything, I am the devil herself dear."

The minute his hands were free, he sat up and looked at her wearily.

She offered him her hand and he hesitantly grabbed it, together they walked out of the room and saw Elijah waiting on them with a knocked out and tied up Wes Maxfield next to him.

Lyra smiled as she pointed her hand at Wes while telling Enzo "Have a nice dinner and you are allowed to do anything you want to this lab. We'll be waiting at the car for you."

Enzo grinned a psychotic smile and sped towards Wes, specifically his neck. Lyra walked to Elijah as they walked out the door and back outside.

Dorian and Katherine walked inside the grill hand in hand and sat down at a booth in the corner. It was night and they still had an hour or 3 until the werewolves would transform.

"We just walked in and immediately I notice three people of the scooby squad, are you sure this was a good idea?" Katherine doubted as she noticed Stefan, Alaric and Damon.

Dorian grabbed her hand and demanded "Ignore them, don't let them ruin our time."

"Okay" She smiled and grabbed the menu's as she handed one to him.

Matt walked over to them and smiled "Hi Elena, whose this?"

Katherine smiled and put up her Elena act "Hi Matt! This is just a new friend that's new to town."

Dorian cut in "Yes Hello Matt. Can we have a bottle of your finest wine with some glasses?"

"Of course!" Matt gave him a hesitant smile and a real one to Katherine, before walking away.

Stefan and Alaric watched them from their table, while Damon only glanced at them while he was talking to Jules, a new werewolf in town.

"What is Katherine doing here? I thought she had already left town and who is that?" Alaric asked Stefan as they stared at the two soulmates.

"Dorian?" Stefan whispered as his eyes were stuck on the male's face.

Alaric looked at Stefan in confusion as he asked "You know him?"

"Yeah..." Stefan trailed off.

Matt delivered the wine and wanted to say something, but Dorian cut him off "Can't you see that we're on a date Matt? Please don't waste your breath and go back to work."

Matt looked at him in shock and glanced at Katherine, trying to see if she would say something to defend him, but she didn't and he left with a frown.

Dorian poured the glasses with wine and gave her a smile "For m'lady."

Katherine giggled as she grabbed her glass and he grabbed his as they toasted and drank. They kept eye contact when they did, it gave them both butterflies in their stomach.

Katherine cleared her throat and asked "Now Dorian, is there anything I don't know about you yet?"

He hummed as he thought about it "I can sing and play the guitar!"

"Really?" Katherine asked with a smile, already thinking about how hot he would look while playing the guitar.

"Yeah!" Dorian replied with a grin, like he knew what she was thinking about "Both me and Lyra used to sing while I also played the guitar, we had our own little group supposedly."

Katherine laughed and encouraged "You and Lyra should really perform for us, maybe even at the grill. If your as good as you say then you could become famous!"

"Oh no no no" He shook his head "The famous life is not for us, definitely not" He nervously laughed it off.

Katherine certainly noticed the nervousness in his laugh, but shrugged it off. Her smile faded slightly as she noticed someone coming to their table and straightened up.

Stefan slides into the booth on Dorian's side and looked at them with a slight smile. He purposely sat on Dorian's side and close to him so that their shoulders would touch "Hi."

Katherine looked at him with a raised brow, annoyed that he interrupted their date "Hello Stefan."

Stefan gave her a fake smile and grabbed Dorian's hand, warmth rushing into his body because of the contact and tried pulling him away from the booth "Goodbye Katherine."

Dorian didn't let him as he also looked at him with a raised eyebrow and asked "What do you think you're doing Stefan?"

"You shouldn't be associating with someone like this Dorian, trust me. She will only use you" Stefan told him and tried getting him out of there once again.

Dorian just stayed rooted in his place while snapping "I'm here on a date Stefan, I suggest you go away before I punch you for insulting my soulmate."

Stefan let him go in shock while whispering "That's impossible."

Katherine chuckled bitterly "It's impossible for me to have a soulmate Stefan? God, I know that I 'ruined' your lives, but that's just heartless."

Stefan turned to her and almost growled "No, because he's mine as well."

"Oh my god" Dorian dropped his head and whispered "I forgot about that-"

Katherine cut him off "Forgot? You knew?"

"Yeah, I was just so happy that we were so close already and you had accepted me that I forgot about telling you."

Katherine frowned, was she upset that he hadn't told he until now? Yes. Did it bother her that his other mate was Stefan? No.

"It doesn't matter anyway" Stefan waved it off and ordered "I don't want my soulmate to date you, all you have done since you came into this town is hurt Elena-"

Dorian scoffed and went towards Katherine's side as he exclaimed "You're unbelievable! How in the hell is Elena in anyway associated with this conversation, come on we're leaving and taking our food to go."

Katherine nodded and stood up while announcing "I'll go tell Matt to make it a to go order."

Dorian nodded and stood up as he tried making his way outside, but Stefan stopped him "Please. She's no good and will only hurt you."

Dorian turned to him and accused "Why don't you listen to your own words? You know Elena won't bring you any good, she says she's nothing like Katherine, but actually she's worse. At least Katherine didn't hide she wanted both you and Damon, you can already see that in the end Elena will choose Damon or keep hurting both of you. Get a grip on your life before judging mine."

Dorian then ripped his arm out of Stefan's hold while storming out the grill.

Katherine eventually followed him while holding a bag of food as they went back to the house.

Elijah and Lyra leaned against his car while they waited.

When Enzo came out the school, he was grinning while breathing in the fresh air. He was finally free and killing Wes made it even better.

He noticed them standing at the car and tilted his head "They really have changed everything. The last time I was out, the cars were really different and looked more unsafe."

"Wait until you see planes then" Lyra commented and Elijah chuckled a bit, they were interrupted by Lyra's phone ringing.

She frowned and shared a look with Elijah, before answering it "Hello?"

"Hi Lyra, we may have done something stupid" Dorian's voice was heard from the other side of the phone. Enzo frowned at it, they were talking through a little box?

Lyra's face dropped as she sighed and asked "What did you do?"

"We went to the grill and may have encountered a broody Salvatore, that may or may not know about me and Katherine..."

"Dorian!" Lyra exclaimed "Oh my god, I told you to stay inside!"

Katherine spoke up this time "We didn't want to stay cooped up in that home and besides Dorian was starving and if he had ordered then he would have had to go to the grill anyway."

Lyra grumbled "You could have ordered pizza."

"Whatever" Dorian shrugged "He knows about me and Katherine, it's also the thing that he's also my soulmate and we have no idea what that will change."

"We'll figure it out, just get to the house quickly and stay inside. It's a full moon and Jules runs around freely" Lyra ordered and hung up the phone. She turned to Elijah and Enzo "Get in the car, we'll update you on modern day times on the way Enzo."

Both guys shared looks as they got in the car, Lyra was obviously frustrated and they didn't want to cross her at that moment.

Stefan walked into Elena's room as she was looking outside her window, Bonnie had used a spell to lock her in and she was waiting until it was lifted.

She moved the curtain and saw Stefan in the reflection as he softly said "Elena, hey."

She looks at him with a smile and moved towards him. As she was about to embrace him, he stopped her.

She looked at him in confusion and asked "Stefan? What's wrong?"

"I can't do this anymore Elena" Stefan told her with a sad look in his eyes.

She took a step back and asked "What is that supposed to mean Stefan?"

"This Elena, us" He clarified and looked her in the eye, he was confused on why it didn't hurt to do this.

"What? I t-thought-" Elena stammered as her eyes filled with tears.

Stefan shook his head "We can't be together, it's just..." He debated on lying to her, but he couldn't in the end "I found my soulmate and it was like love in first sight, everything I felt for you is just gone."

"Is Damon making you do this" Elena concluded as she looked at him.

Stefan looked at her shocked, how could she ever get that idea? "Damon had nothing to do with this, how could he? I met my soulmate Elena, the one that was made for me."

"And your choosing them over me?" Elena asked as she looked at him in slight betrayal. She knew what soulmates were because Stefan had explained them to her, was she disappointed that she wasn't his? Yes. But she wouldn't let that get in the way of her getting the two brothers.

"They're my soulmate Elena" Stefan reasoned, when he saw that she still didn't understand. He shook his head "I am not going to argue with you. We're over."

Elena started to cry as he left her, before he fully left the door she yelled "Don't do this! Please you love me!"

He whispered before he left "Not anymore...
