"Lillie. What kind of name is Lillie?" Charlotte ranted as she looked over some clothing on a circular rack. She was in some random store, idly looking at some clothing that she didn't really like. She just didn't want to go back to the apartment just yet. Piper sighed over the phone.
"Lillie is a super common name, Char."
"Yeah, but she spells it with an I E instead of just a simple Y. Like come on, how much attention do you need?!"
"Why do you care?" the younger girl asked bluntly, causing Charlotte to drop the top she was holding. She swore under her breath and quickly picked it up, placing it on the rack again before going to a private area to sit. Not many people were there, but she still didn't want any nosy people to eavesdrop. She plopped down on a bench and held up her phone, turning on her front facing camera and seeing Piper in a dimly lit room, laying back on what she assumed was her bed.
"I don't care, why do you think I care?" Piper rolled her eyes.
"Well, let's see. It's 4 am here and I'm on the phone listening to you rant about how a girl spells her name instead of being on a call with Billy and watching him try to hit his belly button with no hands," she said with a scowl. The older woman made a disgusted face as she tried to picture out just what that meant.
"4 am here means it's 6 pm there," the young blonde continued, "and by that time, you're usually back at the apartment and cooking dinner for you and Henry. But here you are, stewing." The curly haired young woman sighed and slumped back against the wall.
"Keyword is 'usually'. Ever since he met...her two weeks ago, he has spent all of his time with her. He's practically moved into her place already! I literally haven't seen him in three days. It's like...he's forgotten all about me..." Her voice got a little soft as she said that. It really sucked not having Henry by her side for those two weeks. She figured by now that all three of them would be back to fighting crime, but what happened instead was him finding some random girlfriend and basically completely throwing Charlotte aside. In such a short time, everything had changed. She even decided to get a job in a small café, because without them fighting crime and getting the reward money for catching criminals, they had no income coming in. She had to change her entire life plans for Henry while he forgot that she existed. Had she done something wrong that hurt him and caused this to happen? Was this all her fault somehow?
"You know how Henry is around girls he likes," the teenager yawned, "He basically becomes obsessed with them and makes his whole life about them for a while. Plus, he's been having a hard time in Dystopia, so having a girlfriend who's a Dystopian is probably really helping him out."
"Yeah..." Charlotte agreed, although she really didn't want to admit it. Maybe this absence was a good thing and once he and Lillie were more established, good ol' Henry would come back.
"Go home, Char. If you want, I can call Hen and curse him out a little!" The raven haired girl laughed at this and shook her head.
"Nah, I'll let you go so you can sleep or do your weird little thing with Billy. I'm gonna do some more shopping then head on home," she told her with a small smile. Piper nodded with a grin and waved before hanging up. Charlotte put her phone away and sighed softly, getting up slowly and returning to her shopping, dreading the idea of going back to the empty apartment.
Meanwhile, a shirtless Henry walked out of Lillie's bedroom and almost instantly bumped into a decorative side table. He quickly grabbed the other side to keep it from toppling over with all of the items on it, quickly straightening out any crooked picture frames and making sure the vase was still standing straight. He had practically been living there for two weeks straight yet he still couldn't get used to her apartment. Maybe because we spend most of the time here in her bedroom. He chuckled to himself at that thought and moved away from the table once it was situated, going into the kitchen to get some water. After he met Lillie at the noodle bar, he had to admit that things between them moved really fast. He took Jasper's advice to just have sex with someone and maybe he could stop feeling those urges for Charlotte. So, that he did, and the sex with Lillie was incredible.
Then why was he still thinking about Charlotte so much?
"Honey!" Lillie called out as she left her bedroom, dressed in Henry's shirt and a pair of short shorts. She joined him in the kitchen and thanked him when he handed her a cold bottle of water, "I have some questions for you." She grinned when he chuckled dryly and leaned against the counter.
"Don't know babe, I wasn't the best at pop quizzes," he joked, going quiet when she shushed him.
"How come you don't ever have to go to work?" she asked before opening the bottle and taking a sip. He blinked at the question and racked his brain quickly to come up with an excuse. He couldn't tell her that he made money being a superhero and fighting crime -- or, rather, he used to. Money was running tight, especially being with Lillie, so he would have to get an actual job soon much like Charlotte did. Charlotte...He missed her.
"Sweetheart?"
"Hmm?" He looked at her and noted the concerned look on her face, she was probably wondering what was taking so long for him to respond to such a simple question. He put on a quick smile and licked his lips nervously, "Ah, my uncle Ray actually gave me a good amount of money before I moved here. I'm actually planning on getting a real job soon though, don't worry." She nodded in understanding and he prepared for her next question.
"Okay, that makes sense. Now, why won't you take me to your place?" There it was, the question she had been asking him for so long. It was a reasonable question to ask. In the two weeks they had been together, they never once set foot in his apartment and he always had an excuse for it. Her question was perfectly reasonable, but his honest answer wouldn't be. He placed his bottle down and moved his arms around her waist, pulling her close to him.
"Babe, I told you why. My place is a gross mess and I don't want you to have to see such...squalor," he told her, but her face said she wasn't buying it.
"You said you have a roommate, he doesn't clean?"
"They do, but...they work and don't really have time to clean up as well as they should," he lied, making sure to stay gender-neutral so when she eventually found out that his roommate was Charlotte, he could say he technically didn't lie. She frowned and pulled away from his embrace, taking a step back and folding her arms over her chest.
"Are you embarrassed by me?" she asked, the sound of hurt clear in her voice.
"What? No, babe," he tried to pull her close again but she stepped away from him once more.
"You never take me to your place and anytime I ask, you just lie to me about why you won't. All we do is come here and have sex, or have sex in one of our cars, or sex in a hotel-" she gasped with realization, "Are you just using me for sex?!"
"What?! No!" he scoffed, clearing his throat when his voice jumped up an octave. That usually only happened when he was lying, but he was not lying this time. He genuinely liked Lillie...he figured he liked Lillie.
"Henry," she started firmly and placed her hands on her hips, "until you take me to your place and prove you're not just using me, you and I are never having sex again. You aren't even allowed to touch me." He scoffed in disbelief and ran his hand over his short hair. He wanted to tell her she was being completely ridiculous, but truthfully, she wasn't at all. He was supposed to be her boyfriend, it was understandable for her to want to know more about him and see his place. She just wanted to be let in and he wanted to let her in, let her know all about him and his life, but he just...couldn't. He grabbed his phone and checked the time. 6:37 pm. Charlotte was probably still at work and he could probably make this happen. He looked at his girlfriend who looked like she was on the brink of tears.
"Okay, get dressed, we're gonna go to my place," he told her before starting to head back to her bedroom. He heard her gasp behind him and heard her feet move quickly against the hardwood floors before her arms wrapped around his shoulders and she leaned in to press her cheek against his own. He smiled a little, finding her quite cute. Almost like Charlotte.
"Really, HenHen?" she asked, causing him to chuckle and turn around to face her. He nodded and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her into a tight hug.
"Yes, really! Come on!" He took her hand and pulled her into her bedroom as she happily skipped along behind him. The two of them got dressed, Henry taking his shirt back and putting on a spare pair of joggers he left at her place, while Lillie put on a cropped cardigan and a pair of skinny jeans. She was so excited that he was finally letting her see his place. It may have been seen as something simple and basic to others, but to her, it meant that she was finally starting to learn a little bit more about a guy that she really liked.
The two of them left her rather high-end apartment and got into Henry's car. Her father came from money so, in turn, she came from money and could have all the nicer things in life without really having to work for it. That meant a luxury sports car, designer clothing, and a high-end apartment in the wealthiest neighborhood in Dystopia. Henry never imagined that he could ever live there, let alone step a foot in that area for more than ten minutes. Lillie gave him new experiences that he was grateful for, and he really did like her. But, for some reason, it seemed a little hard for him to fully commit himself to her.
They drove to his place with the radio softly playing a ballad from Lillie's favorite Dys-pop station, the young woman idly singing along. He kept his eyes on the road and both hands on the wheel, not even attempting to hold her hand or rub her knee like all the other guys used to do. She could tell that this guy was rather different than most men she knew. She looked out the window as they drove, leaving the nicer area and entering the more run-down part of town. The car now started to shake from all the potholes and she put her window up to block out the sound of drunk men loudly cursing and prostitutes asking if someone wanted a good time. Did Henry really live in this kind of area? Her question was answered when he parked in front of an old apartment building and turned off the car.
"We're here!" he announced with a nervous smile before climbing out of the car. She blinked in surprise before climbing out of the passenger seat, almost falling as her four inch stilettos met the bumpy road. She carefully walked around to the other side and grabbed Henry's hand for support, letting him lead her inside. There was only one working light in the main lobby and even that barely worked, flickering on and off as the couple walked to the elevator. When the doors opened, she followed him onto the elevator and stood there in stunned silence as it carried them to his floor. He really lived like this? It was just completely foreign to her and she could now understand why he didn't want her to see where he lived.
Henry noticed that his girlfriend had gone completely silent, but he really couldn't care less. He kept wondering if Charlotte was home or not. He thought he may have seen her familiar curls bouncing as she walked by, but it was probably just someone else. The next bus wasn't due for an hour and it would take about six minutes for her to walk here from the bus stop. Maybe he could ship Lillie off after 40 minutes and rush to the bus stop to meet Charlotte so she wouldn't have to walk alone. It had been three days since he'd seen her and as much as he thought that would help with his urges, it just made him miss her more. What was her hair like now? Still in its natural state? Was it in an updo with bangs in the front like he enjoyed? Or, maybe, she got braids again or those faux locs she had once that made her smell so good. Fuck, I miss her so much.
As the elevator dinged and the doors opened, he led his girlfriend down the hall to the familiar old door. He jammed his key into the janky lock and struggled a bit before unlocking the door and pushing it open, revealing his apartment to Lillie with a big goofy grin.
"Home sweet home!" he announced with faux pride, earning a small chuckle from her. She walked inside and looked around in surprise.
"Whoa! This isn't actually that bad!" she said as she looked around, "The place is nicely painted and decorated! Interesting color scheme but whatever. You had way too little trust in your roommate." She turned to look at her boyfriend, smiling when he shrugged and walked up to her.
"Yeah, I guess I should have more faith in them," he relented before sitting on the couch and pulling her onto his lap. She moved her arms around his neck and rested her head against his.
"I'm sorry I pushed you to do this, I see why you didn't want me coming here," she said softly. He was a little confused about what she meant then it hit him that she was probably not used to an environment like this. It was the perfect excuse.
"I guess I was just embarrassed..." he mumbled with faux embarrassment. She placed his fingers under his chin and tilted his head to make him look at her.

"I get it. But thank you for being willing to open up to me, it makes me so happy," she said with a sweet smile before leaning in and pressing a deep kiss to his lips. He kissed her deeply with a pleased hum, their lips moving together in perfect sync. He felt her body shift around so she straddled him, her hand running over his short hair as they made out. Lillie was such a sexy and sensual woman, but he still had Charlotte on his mind. He watched his girlfriend as she pulled away from the kiss and smiled at him, her manicured fingers moving to the buttons of her cardigan. She unbuttoned them slowly until the soft garment popped open, her bare breasts coming into his view and causing all the blood in his body to rush to one area.
She moved off of his lap and settled on her knees on the floor, her body between his legs as she worked to pull down his joggers until his member came into view. Henry swallowed hard as he leaned his head back against the couch, his eyes falling shut when he felt her soft fingers wrap around his cock and stroke it softly. She was really incredible, their sexual chemistry was off the charts. His breath hitched in his throat when he felt her lips against his sensitive tip before she finally took him into his mouth. She sucked him hard but slowly, the feeling of her warm and wet mouth making all the hairs on his body stand up. It was so good, she was so good.

"Fuck... Oh, Charlotte..." he moaned softly as she sank him deeper into her mouth. What, what did he say?! His eyes shot open and he stared up at the ceiling as the blowjob halted. They sat there in tense silence for a moment before she finally pulled herself off of his length and looked up at him with fiery eyes.
"What?!" she hissed. He looked down at her, his palms now sweaty and his heart beating a mile a minute.
"Babe, I-" he started before looking at the front door when he heard it open, his heart sinking to his stomach when he saw the familiar head of hair. Charlotte sighed as she opened the door and looked up from her phone, gasping and almost dropping the device when she saw Henry and Lillie in a compromising position on the couch.
"Oh my God!" she cried out and quickly left the apartment, slamming the door shut. Lillie quickly looked from the door to her boyfriend.
"Who was that?!"
Henry looked down at her with his mouth hanging open dumbly, looking for the right thing to say. He finally shrugged slightly and gave her a small half smile, "My...roommate...?"
"WHAT?!"
