"For Shadowhunters, you don't seem to do a lot of Shadowhunting." Raphael says as me, Izzy, and Clary walk into Hotel DuMort. Izzy scoffs.

"There is more to the job than killing demons." Izzy says, tilting her head.

"We need to talk to Camille." Clary tells Raphael. "We know you have her here. We tracked her to the DuMort."

"It's true, but I'm afraid she's a bit tied up at the moment. Is there something I can help you with?" Raphael asks.

"Just a second." Simon says, pulling Raphael to the side.

"Simon's hair looks like it got attacked by a raccoon." I say looking at his hair as Raphael turns around. He walks towards us.

"I'll bring you what's left of Camille's things, but speaking to her is out of the question." Raphael tells us.

"Her things?" Clary says, scoffing. "This isn't the kind of book she would've just left sitting around." Clary tells Raphael who looks unbothered.

"I'm sorry... but that's the best I can do." Raphael says. I roll my eyes at him.

"We're supposed to be allies." Clary says walking closer to Raphael.

"And we are." Raphael says. "But Shadowhunters have no business interfering with the Night Children's affairs. You may look to the Clave for justice, but the vampires look to me." Raphael says. "Camille stays where she is."

"You're making a huge mistake." Clary says as if she was threatening. I snort.

"Wow, I'm shivering." I say rubbing my arms.

I push Clary away from me. We were in a small coffin. I hear talking. A few minutes later, Simon opens the coffin. I grunt as I sit up.

"Finally. God, Clary you are so annoying." I say as I hop out of the coffin. I stumble a little.

"Sure this will work?" Simon asks, looking at me and Clary. I roll my eyes.

"Duh, Izzy's a pro." I say. "By the time that vamp finds Raphael, we'll be long gone." Simon helps Clary out of the coffin.

"Let's get this over with." Clary says. "If anyone catches us, we're dead." Clary says, making me snicker.

"Some of us already are." Simon says, walking toward Candys coffin. It has chains all over it. "Once we open this, there's no going back. Everything we've done to unite the Downworld goes out the window."

"Out there window it goes then." I say patting the coffin. "Wake up Candy." I say banging the coffin.

"It's Camille." Simon tells me.

"Oh." I say snorting.

"I wish there was another way, but if Valentine gets a hold of the Cup...there won't be a Downworld left to unite." Clary says before breaking the chains. Clary sighs as he and Simon look at each other.

"Hurry up, you guys are wasting time." I say, annoyed. They open the coffin showing Can-Camille. "She's kinda hot." I say looking at her.

"She's dead." Clary says. I snort.

"Wasn't she already." I say poking Camille's cheek.

"Well, yeah. What'd you expect? She's a vampire." Simon says. Camille suddenly sits up. She screeches, making us jump.

"You didn't say there would be a jump scare." I tell Simon.

"Not so fast." Clary tells Camille as she puts her glowy sword onto her neck.

"What took you so long." Camille tells Simon. He looks at her confused.

"Excuse me?" Simon says holding a stake up.

"I knew you would come back for your sire. Just like you did before. We're forever linked, you and i." Camille tells Simon.

"How do you know I don't want to stake you?" Simon asks Camille. She leans in closer to Simon.

"Do you?" She asks him.

"No." He tells her honesty. Camille smirks.

"I do." Clary says "But that's not why we're here. Where's the Book of the White?" Clary asks Camille who turns to Clary.

"The Book of the what?" Camille asks.

"The Book of the White. Big, white spell book." Simon tells Camille. "Kinda explains itself."

"I swear, I've heard that name so many times it's so annoying." I say mumbling.

"Never heard of it." Camille says rolling her eyes.

"And yet we tracked it to you." Clary says. I nod. I sigh and grab my phone.

"Darling... what would I possibly want with a spell book?" Camille asks Clary. I take a picture of me with the three of them in the background. I sent it to Liv. Clary scoffs.

"We don't have time for this. Put her back in." Clary says pushing Camille into the coffin.

"Okay, okay, okay. You said it was a warlock book?" Camille asks.

"Yeah. I think my mom gave it to you." Clary tells Camille as I take a picture with Simon. "She ran an antique store. Vampires sell that sort of stuff, right?"

"Dude, you look like a dollar tree version of Edward. The hair is not giving." I tell Simon.

"All the time. But if your mother was even half as charming as you, I'm pretty sure I'd remember her."

"What about Dorothea Rollins?" "Clary asks. "She was my mom's assistant."

"Dot. Oh, but of course. She was our favorite customer." Camille says, smirking. "So your entire life has been paid for by my antiquities. I guess that means you owe me."

"Do you know where it is or not?" Clary asks, annoyed with Camille.

"It's in my apartment on the Upper East Side. My own pied-a-terre." Camille tells Clary.

"Xoxo, Gossip Girl." I say before laughing. "Dude, you give off Dan Humphrey vibes." I tell Simon. He gives me a glare.

"I can take you there...but you'll have to get me out of here first." Camille says, making Clary sigh. She looks at Simon. "Or you can leave me in here, and never get the book." Camille says. "Totally up to you."

"This is too suspicious." I say. "Too easy."

"Okay." Simon says as we sneak around.

"Simon, it's 6:00 a.m. the suns almost up." Clary tells Simon. We look around for vampires.

"No problem. We'll go downstairs and take the tunnels out. Come on." Simons says. Raphael pops out of nowhere making Simon stop walking. I bump into his back.

"Going somewhere?" Raphael asks us.

"Raphael." Camille says.

"You should have stayed put." Raphael tells Camille. Camille hisses. "I'm disappointed in you." Raphael tells Simon.

"I-- I guess it's too late to put her back in the box?" Simon says making Camille look at Simon offended.

"I'm afraid so. Out alliance is finished. The Accords may prohibit killing mundanes, but they say nothing about sunburned vampires." Raphael says as he walks towards us, along with his vampires. We step back. "Simons betrayed us...just as Camille did. They deserve the same fate. Adios." Raphael looks at his vampires. "Kill them." Raphael says making his vampires hiss and go toward us.

A wall breaks making the sun peak in. It burns some vampires making them take a step back away from us. Izzy walks in like a bad bitch.

"Imagine not being able to walk into the sun." I say smirking.

"Seriously, guys?" Izzy says. She struts in front of us and sighs. "Typical vampire... always underestimating a Shadowhunter." Izzy says. Raphael hisses. "Adios." Izzy says waving to him. I laugh.

"Suckers." I snicker. "Literally."
