I look at Alec worried as his father fixes him up. A zombie thingy had broken in, Alec got hurt fighting it. I pout at Alec as she winched.

"Don't squirm." His father scolds Alec as He moves. I shake my head at Alec. He's acting like a child.

"I'm not. It doesn't even hurt." Alec says scoffing. I let out a small laugh at his expression.

"Yeah, he's a big boy." I say making Izzy let out a chuckle. Alec rolls his eyes at me. His phone then rings making him sigh.

"No talking...just hearing." Izzy tells Alec. I lean over to see who's calling. I roll my eyes when I see it's Jace stupidass. The phone continues to ring. Izzy then walks away with the phone.

"Well, that's something. When you're healed I want a piggyback ride. Say something for No or say nothing for yes." I tell Alec. He looks at me with a confused express mixed with an annoyed one. "Oh and remember Izzy said you can't talk." I say smirking. He opens his mouth then closes it. I clap my hands.

"Great!" I exclaim. "You have the best son ever." I tell his dad. His dad chuckles. Alec mouths 'I hate you'. I blow him a kiss. "Any ways. I have to go." I say getting up. Alec squints his eyes at me.

"What? I'm not going to cause trouble. I already got a warning." I scoff thinking about the incident. "But that's not the point, I've got to go." I go kiss Alec on the cheek. "Bye." I say not staying to see his reaction.

"Are the wards solid now? Nothing will get through?" Alec's dad asks Magnus as his amazing ass does his magic juju. He got asked if he could put up wards. I lean my head on Alec's muscly arm and sigh dreamily as I admire Magnus.

"Even my magic has limits. The wards won't hold off that Forsaken attack. But my protections will slow them down." Magnus says turning around. I wink at him when we make eye contact.

"Extra time is priceless." Alec's dad tells Magnus seriously.

"No... say that after you get my bill." Magnus says making me chuckle.

"Lydia will take care of that." Alec's dad says. He then walks away. I smirk.

"Great! Tell Lydia I need my bill. My presence is very expensive." I say looking at my nails.

"Now that is very true, how much do I need to give you?" Magnus asks me. I look at him and clap my hands.

"Huh... a glittery makeover." I say waving my fingers. Magnus chuckles. He looks at Alec. I pat Alec's back. He can be very serious sometimes. Wait scratch that, all the time.

"A forsaken wound often needs a little warlock TLC. May I? Uh, free of charge." Magnus says in amusement.

"It's okay." Alec says. He takes a step back making me smack my head with my hand. "I'm fine." Alec shows him the wound.

"If anything we're to happen to you—" Magnus says but gets interrupted by Alec. I swear, this man is getting on my nerves. He's still cute tho.

"Magnus..." Alec says with a warning tone. "I'm good. All right? I gotta—"

"Go?" Magnus interrupts him. "Of course. You're a busy man. And I should find this Lydia person. Payment upfront is just smart business. Where might I find her?" In the trash.

"I haven't seen her. But if I do, I'll send her your way." Alec says. He walks away not before he gives both me and Magnus a look. Magnus opens him mouth.

"Nope, I don't know where she is. Most likely home, in the trash." I say nodding sweetly. Magnus rolls his eyes playfully.

"Let's go." He tells me. He puts a hand for me to grab. I sigh acting like I was sad.

"Fine." I say grabbing his hand.

As I walk around once again looking for someone to annoy I see the three siblings talking. I smirk and walk over. "Omg, what on earth is this, wow." I say looking around pretending to be confused. I frown when they don't pay attention to me.

"Another "order" from Lydia?" Izzy says scoffing at Alec. Jace looks at Izzy confused.

"Who's Lydia?" He asks her. I walk closer.

"She's in charge of the institute." Izzy says as her lip goes up as if she was disgusted. Wait no never mind she is.

"She what?" Jace exclaims. Literally me. I roll my eyes at Jace cus I still don't like him.

"Temporarily." Alec says like that's going to do something. My eye twitch's. I want to say something but feel like it's not the right moment too.

"And now she's convinced the the Clave that Mom and Dad aren't doing their job?" Izzy says mad. Oh hell naw. Wait, image that in a Texas accent.

"Well, maybe they aren't." Alec says making me gasp silently. Their mom gave me a lesson on running a institute, is it incorrect like Lydia's face. "The Institute was under their control when the Forksaken got in." Alec tells them.

"What are you talking about?" Jace says with a hint of anger and confusion. Me too dude.

"Mom and Dad were members of the Circle." Alec says dropping a bomb. Dang, I was apart if the Square. I'm such a baddie.

"What? They don't have Circle runes." Izzy says defensively.

"That's because they made a deal with the Clave prior to the Uprising." Alec sucks in some air. "In exchange for their cooperation, they were pardoned." Alec says.

"You're questioning their loyalty?" Izzy asks Alec not believing what she's seeing.

"Valentine is back. The Circle is rising. They're under suspicion." Alec says with crossed arms.

"No way. Robert and Maryse took me in." Jace tells him. "They raised me as one of their own. I know what kind of people they are." He says defensively.

"Are you sure? They lied to us." Alec says getting closer to Jace and Izzy. I mean, I can kind of relate. My mom, Jocelyn had been lying about something's and see raised me and Liv. But I know what kind of person she is. Wait, I take that back, there's no way I'm having anything in common with Jace.

"For years, they've been telling us how to act. That we have to uphold the Lightwood name. Well, they're the ones who tarnished it. They're hypocrites." Alec scoffs. I cross my arms when I see Lydia walking int he training room. By the way I'm behind Alec and in front of Jace and Izzy. She glares at me then smiles.

"You must be Jace Wayland." Lydia says to Jace. "Lydia Branwell. You're quite the legend back in Idris." She puts her hand out for Jace to shake but he doesn't. He just keeps his arms crossed. For once I can actually say I tolerate him.

"Don't believe everything you hear." He sneers making me smirk. Inside I'm having a party. What song should I put?

"Did you tell them?" Lydia asks Alec asks she looks at him. Tell us what?

"Tell us what?" Izzy says reading my mind. I swear we be reading each other's minds.

"Lydia and I are engaged." Alec says making me take a step back. It felt like the air got sucked out of my lungs. Alec is engaged to the girl I hate the most. Currently. I can feel my eyes watering. I knew he was to be engaged but not to Lydia.

"We're getting married." Lydia says making me want to turn her into ashes.

"You were supposed to tell them "no." It's your life to ruin." Izzy says to Alec. Her eyes meet mine. They widened.

"It already is." I say making them look at me. "Lydia, you can have my leftovers. Im too full for bullshit." I tell Lydia.

"Arielle-" Alec says but I stop him from talking.

"Save it, I guess all those make out sessions we had were all a game to you. But guess what. I'm changing the rules asswhole. I really don't need you." I tell him. At this point I'm in front of him. I slap him and turn around. I then strut out the room.

I have the urge to burn anything and everything.
